[Bug 551269] Re: phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3
I'm not sure why this was marked as fixed - the proposed fix in this bug report does not work. Can it please be re-opened? -- phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 551269] Re: phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3
As per comment #27, this is how I arrived at the state I'm in - where the tree is visible but the details of the objects throw errors. Is there value in my trying it again? I've changed nothing since I last ran the command. It looks like comment #37 also has already run this command. -- phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 551269] Re: phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3
I tried a few other tools to look and and modify my LDAP data - none of them can view and change properly. I tried: Luma was able to connect and browse tree, but object properties would throw errors about server schema problems EDSAdmin could also see the names, but looking at the properties of any person showed a blank page (which might be how EDSAdmin indicates an error?) GQ LDAP client seems to have problems connecting to the server, and I cannot see any data at all. So Lennart might be on to something here - is this perhaps not a bug in phpldapadmin, but rather openldap? PHPLDAPAdmin seems to suffer just like these other clients do. -- phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 551269] Re: phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3
I haven't done anything since replying in #27, and will confirm that this still does not fix the problem. The tree view works now, but trying to view any object in the tree fails with errors. -- phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 551269] Re: phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3
I've upgraded via the PPA. It failed right off the bat, stating something was wrong with the config.php file I renamed the file, and ran dpkg-reconfigure phpldapadmin. I answered the questions to mimic my previous (existing) installation. Once this was all complete I was able to login. I can see my data tree on the left. However when I click on an entry to see its details, an error page was displayed in the right frame stating it could not find my schema at all. I tried clicking a second entry, and much less error was displayed, but the error still states the following: Our attempts to find your SCHEMA have failed (objectclasses) Error: Please contact the phpLDAPadmin developers and let them know: * Which LDAP server you are running, including which version * What OS it is running on * Which version of PHP * As well as a link to some documentation that describes how to obtain the SCHEMA information We'll then add support for your LDAP server in an upcoming release. error Error Could not retrieve schema from My LDAP Server. This could happen for several reasons, the most probable of which are: * The server does not fully support the LDAP protocol. * Your version of PHP does not correctly perform the query. * phpLDAPadmin doesn't know how to fetch the schema for your server. * Or lastly, your LDAP server doesnt provide this information. Perhaps this is my lack of knowledge of how to properly setup something here - happy to be told to go read a specific doc or something if that is the case. But so far I do not think this bug is resolved for me. -- phpldapadmin: Incompatible with PHP 5.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 483453] Re: Wacom Graphire Bluetooth does not work (nothing listed in xsetwacom list)
I am writing this from a LiveCD of Lucid, with no additional PPAs installed or anything. I am running amd64. The tablet still does not work. I am able to get it associated with relative ease (associating works, but syslog shows errors. Turning the tablet off then on again syslog shows no errors.) I'll run the apport command. [Bug 518863] Re: Audio fuzziness and sometimes total wash out
apport information ** Description changed: Binary package hint: pulseaudio After upgrading to Karmic, my sound quality is quite poor. Playing MP3s and Ogg files through RB sounds like someone has set my equalizer way too high, with high notes and loud parts fuzzing out. In addition, apparently randomly, my audio simply stops sounding like audio and just turns into varying pitches of total fuzziness/static. The static is still the music as I can recognize the beat (fuzzy/static bass). If I hover my mouse over the sound icon in the notification area and adjust the volume using my wheel, it adjusts it by 1% output. If I tick through the % I can almost always find a particular % that lets the audio come through without the static noise. It seems like 44% is a particularly lucky output %, as it seems to clear up most problems. Sorry, I'm sending this apport test via a LIVE CD, so am not sure how I could use the latest kernel. I may upgrade in the near future to 10.4 but am sad that the problem was not fixed. [Bug 518863] Re: Audio fuzziness and sometimes total wash out
I've encountered the problem, and have worked through each recommendation in the Volume Range Anomalies section of that page. I'm still seeing the problem. I may have a good way to reproduce the problem. Assuming you have Rhythmbox running with a panel indicator: 1. Use mouse wheel over applet to raise volume to 100% 2. Play audio in RB 3. Right click RB notification try icon, choose Next 4. Hover over the icon Audio on the next song is then fuzzed out completely. Pausing RB for some minutes and then resuming sometimes clears the problem. For example I just had it paused while I was typing this, and the problem has now gone away. Adjusting the last parameter in that doc has resulted in jerky playback while mouse wheeling to contrl volume via the RB notification tray icon, so I'm going to revert that change. What else can I do to help identify this problem? -- Audio fuzziness and sometimes total wash out https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518863 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 518863] Re: Audio fuzziness and sometimes total wash out
No, just tried reproducing with my steps above - didn't work. I had to add a step a step 2a - adjust volume in RB using mouse wheel over tray icon. Then moving to the next song throws me into fuzzy. Again this may be difficult to reproduce specifically as it might involve having either RB or the volume icon set to specific volume levels, etc. I don't have a consistenly reproducible step yet. I can work on it if you'd find it useful. -- Audio fuzziness and sometimes total wash out https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518863 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 519160] Re: kronolith2 subscription link fails with HTTP 400 apache2 error
I believe this is caused by a dependency problem after filing a bug with the horde team (http://bugs.horde.org/ticket/8873). [Bug 518863] [NEW] Audio fuzziness and sometimes total wash out
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio After upgrading to Karmic, my sound quality is quite poor. [Bug 438346] Re: [i915gm] [jaunty, karmic] X freezes every day or so
These symptoms seem to describe the problem I'm seeing with a recent upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04, and then to 9.10 on my Toshiba Tecra A3. The Jaunty freezing was worse so I moved almost immediately to Karmic. Freezing seems random, though at least once a day. It can occur when clicking, or even just moving the mouse. Sometimes the cursor remains responsive to movement but not clicking. Network access is available so I've just tried restarting gdm with the debug=batch command. Will dump the next time I see a freeze as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/Freeze -- [i915gm] [jaunty, karmic] X freezes every day or so https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/438346 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 312770] [NEW] Archos 5 IMT support missing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hal The Archos 5 IMT is not supported by the current version of HAL in Intrepid. A few symptoms: 1 - plugging in the device, hal detects it as a photo device 2 - when setting the device to the Windows Media Player storage option (which is the Microsoft Transfer Protocol setting) does not result in any detection as such, it is always detected as Mass Storage Controller, and thus just a large USB disk. 3 - the 10-usb-music-players.fdi file does not include a section for the Archos 5. For example the following could be included, though I am not sure about the formats, but I am sure about the folder structure. !-- Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet -- match key=@storage.originating_device:usb.product_id int_outof=0x1332 addset key=portable_audio_player.access_method.protocols type=strliststorage/addset append key=portable_audio_player.output_formats type=strlistaudio/x-wav/append append key=portable_audio_player.output_formats type=strlistaudio/x-ms-wma/append append key=portable_audio_player.input_formats type=strlistaudio/x-wav/append append key=portable_audio_player.audio_folders type=strlistMusic//append append key=portable_audio_player.playlist_format type=strlistaudio/x-mpegurl/append append key=portable_audio_player.playlist_path type=strlistPlaylists//append /match I'll continue to look for more info on how to alter this file, as I'm just getting to know it and might be able to give a better suggested initial setting for the fdi than the above (basically copied from the Archos GMini 400M entry above, with the folder structure updated) Here is the lsusb -vv output Bus 003 Device 011: ID 0e79:1332 Archos, Inc. [Bug 191374] [NEW] Wacom tablet lag
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg I've installed a Wacom Graphire Bluetooth tablet following this HowTo: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=674738 I randomly see times now where the cursor (mouse) and pen (stylus) seem to lag behind the input. I'll move the mouse around, and the cursor follows ... eventually. Not having the mouse/stylus able to control the cursor properly renders this device fairly unusable. Sometimes when it is happening, I remove the device from the tablet for 3 seconds or so, and then try again and it seems to ahve caught up. Sometimes it doesn't though, and I'm forced to resort back to the mouse I have plugged in as well (USB wireless). I've tried disabling Compiz (set 3d effects to none) and that had no impact. It is not a lack of horsepower here, as I'm running a dual core AMD64 4400+ with 4GB of RAM. [Bug 183424] Adding multiple songs from a CIFS share has resulted in random MP# splicing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gtkpod I store my MP3 songs on a Samba share, and automount it in fstab using CIFS filesystem type. I ripped a number of CDs using SoundJuicer to my desktop, then copied those files over to the Samba share. From there (my music library) I add the directories using gtkpod. I recently reinstalled a fresh install of Gutsy 64. Now when I add directories of songs to my iPod in this manner, I'm seeing some random song splicing that I can't explain. For example an added song will, at 2:17 into the song, now contain 2 seconds of a totally different song that has existed on the iPod for months. I have copied an example song back off the iPod and have confirmed in both Audacity and Totem that this song on the iPod have parts of other songs spliced into it. I have also checked that the copy on the Samba share does not have these splices. So the splices were introduced when I copied them to the iPod using gtkpod. I can upload a sample song if you need it, or at least part of it. ** Affects: gtkpod (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Binary package hint: gtkpod I store my MP3 songs on a Samba share, and automount it in fstab using CIFS filesystem type. I can upload a sample song if you need it, or at least part of it. ** Summary changed: - Adding multiple songs from a CIFS share has resulted in random MP# splicing + Adding multiple songs from a CIFS share has resulted in random MP3 splicing -- Adding multiple songs from a CIFS share has resulted in random MP3 splicing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/183424 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 173821] Plugging in an iPod via USB fails to mount when using ehci-hcd
Public bug reported: This has been a problem for this installation since Edgy. When plugging in my iPod the device is offlined as not ready. [Bug 172364] Podcast problem error dialogues should be combined
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox When RB checks multiple podcast feeds for updates and encounters a problem, it displays an error dialogue for each podcast it checked. This can result in many error windows all saying essentially the same thing if RB is monitoring a large number of feeds. [Bug 161949] Re: LDAP address book lookup does not work for autocomplete
I've done a little exploring of this issue using the error console. This actually has to do with my efforts to get TB working with my LDAP directory for the address book. I've discovered a way of reproducing the error: Normal (working) flow: 1 - Open about:config, search for 'attrmap' 2 - Ensure that all settings are default 3 - Close TB 4 - Launch TB 5 - Open error console 6 - Open address book 7 - search for string 'br' in LDAP directory 8 - results populate normally Now if I add a little change to the above, this reproducibly fails: 1 - Launch TB 2 - Open error console 3 - Open address book 4 - open about:config, search for 'attrmap' 5 - modify the setting ldap_2.servers.default.attrmap.HomeState from the default to a non-default value (for example from 'mozillaHomeState' to 'mozillaHomeState,st') 6 - close about:config 7 - search for a string in the address book, such as 'br' 8 - the error console displays the following error, and no results are returned: Error: [Exception... 'Failure' when calling method: [nsIAbLDAPAttributeMapService::getMapForPrefBranch] nsresult: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) location: JS frame :: chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/abCommon.js :: SetAbView :: line 665 data: no] Source File: chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/abCommon.js Line: 665 Line 665 reads: actualSortColumn = gAbView.init(uri, searchView, GetAbViewListener(), sortColumn, sortDirection); -- LDAP address book lookup does not work for autocomplete https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161949 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 161949] Re: LDAP address book lookup does not work for autocomplete
One other comment - restoring about:config to default then allows the LDAP query to proceed normally, so it is the presence of this change to the attrmap that is causing this bug. I've tried replacing the string 'mozillaHomeState' with: 1 - 'mozillaHomeState,st' 2 - 'st,mozillaHomeState' 3 - 'st' None of these avoid the error, and the error is the same line. -- LDAP address book lookup does not work for autocomplete https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161949 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 162060] Modifying LDAP loookup in about:config causes lookup to fail
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird When attempting to modify the LDAP lookup mapping in about:config (searching for attrmap), any change to a TB setting for HomeState causes the LDAP lookup to fail entirely. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 148414 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148414 After reading this over, I believe this description isn't actually related to this problem, and I've filed the description as another bug, so please ignore comments above. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/162060 I believe it is unrelated because I am able to get the LDAP querying working fine when using address book, as described in the other bug. However even when address book is working, auto-complete does not. Auto-complete also is not causing any log rolling on the LDAP server when logging is set to 256. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 148414 Thunderbird composition does not check configured LDAP directory for address -- LDAP address book lookup does not work for autocomplete https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161949 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 161949] LDAP address book lookup does not work for autocomplete
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird I have set up an LDAP directory on a remote server. In Feisty I set up Thunderbird to query this address book during mail composition for address completion. When beginning to type an address, the query would work and the matching addresses would be selectable. After upgrading to Gutsy, this LDAP address query doesn't work when auto-completing an email address. I am able to launch the Address Book and query the LDAP directory just fine. However the auto-complete function during composition does not work.
