[Bug 830949] Re: [Intel N10 Graphics] Need Compiz' Copy to Texture plugin so can display on multi-head layouts bigger than the max GL texture size

2012-05-17 Thread MrPotter
Why won't fix?

On my ASUS eeePC 1005P (Ubuntu 12.04, 3.2.0-24-generic) I can reproduce
this bug. The internal display has 1024x600 resolution. I plugged in an
external monitor (resolution: 1920x1080) and arranged it with gnome
display setting horizontally. The result is the described slow display
rendering. If I arrange the display vertically everything is fine.

Then I tried the same after activating the plugin (Copy to texture) in
ccsm. I restarted my mashine, arranged the window horizontally but the
problem is still there. xrandr --output VGA1 --right-of LVDS1 has the
same effect.

$ glxinfo -l | grep GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE
GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE = 2048

[Bug 778048] [NEW] GUI is messed up

2011-05-05 Thread MrPotter
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: keepass2

After installing keypass2 on my Ubuntu 10.10 with kernel
2.6.35-28-generic the program starts but gui is unusuable. The font size
is too large. Please see attached picture. I followed your instructions
on your forums
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/keepass/forums/forum/329220/topic/4503818)

My system uses the default Ubuntu font so there is no misconfiguration.

[Bug 565685] Re: [Asus K50IJ] Lucid Lynx - No automute (Headphone jack does not disable speakers on laptop)

2010-10-31 Thread MrPotter
Sorry for my late reply. In the syslog I got the following after I pluged in my
headphones:
Oct 31 15:12:13 mrpotter-PC kernel: [ 62.854753] ALSA-HDA hda_codec.c:477:
Unsol event from codec: tag = 5, response = 0

After I unpluged them, the same message appears in the log:
Oct 31 15:12:28 mrpotter-PC kernel: [ 77.369345] ALSA-HDA hda_codec.c:477:
Unsol event from codec: tag = 5, response = 0

In my last post I wrote that everything works fine. That's true, but it
was necessary to switch in the audio settings the connector from
Analog Output to Analog Headphones. Well, it solves not the major
problem but it's a good workaround ...

2010-10-06 Thread MrPotter
Thats strange. Yesterday I upgraded Ubuntu 10.04 to the current release
candidate 10.10. After the final reboot I noticed the known headphone
problem. The internal speakers didn't mute after I plugged in my

reproduce the error. In the coming days I will check my system again. At
the moment I have not much time... Please be patient.

[Bug 625048] Re: Totem Crashes On Adjusting Volume

2010-09-16 Thread MrPotter
Sebastian, a full backtrace report is not possible, because the x-server
crashes when the bug is detected by gdb. Btw: Im experiencing the same problem,
which Krishna reported a few days ago...
Try to slide down and up the volume bar as fast as you can while playing a
video or sound file.

Gdm reports the following when it detects the crash:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 0xb3bfab70 (LWP 3825)]
0x in ?? ()
(gdb) Hangup detected on fd 0
Error detected on fd 0
error detected on stdin

The full gdb report can you find as an attachment.

A memcheck with valgrind doesn't work, because totem reacts too slow.

[Bug 37330] Re: Java Applet Window cannot be closed.

2010-06-19 Thread MrPotter
miguelrojas, you are wrong. with openJDK it's possible to close the chat
window, but this will not close the active chat session. Your chat
partner is not able to see, that you left the private chat.

Most websites, which provide chat rooms based on volano chat software,
give a limit in privat chats you can participate at the same time.
during the fact, that you cannot close the chat sessions, you will
reach sometime the limit. As a consequence you are not able to start
more private chats, because the software assumes you already talking to
n persons.

To conclude this, with OpenJDK it is only possible to hide the chat
windows.
