[Bug 1826125] Re: Dell XPS 13 9380 flickering (Whiskey Lake)
So this is not fixed yet with kernel 5.4.0-37 on ubuntu 20.04. I have only been using this machine through ssh since it's unusable otherwise. @Timo, should I go upstream with this or is this something you guys can help with? I never quite understood if the patch we used for the drm last year ever made it upstream - I assume not given the current situation. ** Bug watch added: gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/intel/-/issues #272 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/intel/-/issues/272 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1826125 Title: Dell XPS 13 9380 flickering (Whiskey Lake) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1826125/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1826125] Re: Dell XPS 13 9380 flickering (Whiskey Lake)
I am however betting this is not a hw bug due to the way the flickering changed with the kernel upgrade. [Bug 1088432] [NEW] Simple Scan can't crop A4

[Bug 1023107] [NEW] bcmwl-kernel-source stops works on restart
Public bug reported: Installed a 12.04 on a new system. lspci shows as network controller: 03:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43228 802.11a/b/g/n Initially wifi was working flawlessly. Since this is Ivy Bridge, there were some problems with graphics card Intel HD Graphics 4000 and the 3.2.0-26 kernel. So I decided to install deb files for kernel 3.5. I installed the deb files but them I couldn't get wifi because it said bcmwl-kernel-source was blacklisted (a different issue). I decided to revert for the moment to 3.2.0-26 so removed the kernel. However, when I came back to the 3.2.0-26 the driver started misbehaving. Upon boot the driver doesn't work. I have to open Jockey, deactivate and then activate for the driver to work.
