[Bug 1970402] Re: Initrd out of memory error after upgrade to 22.04
I'm also experiencing the Out of Memory error on a fresh install of Ubuntu Server 22.04 on an Intel NUC BXNUC10i5FNK1 with 8GB of memory. After pressing any key it boots to a kernel panic stating not syncing VFS, unable to mount root fs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970402 Title: Initrd out of memory error after upgrade to 22.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1970402/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1960018] Re: Boot Failure - linux-image-5.13.0-28-generic | regression
Just did a fresh install of 20.04.3 LTS, updated & installed linux- generic-hwe-20.04 and it booted up just fine. Only difference is /etc/default/grub on a client's appliance, this is the default/grub on the machine that freezes: # If you change this file, run 'update-grub' afterwards to update # /boot/grub/grub.cfg. # For full documentation of the options in this file, see: # info -f grub -n 'Simple configuration' GRUB_DEFAULT=0 GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden GRUB_TIMEOUT=0 GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian` GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0" # Uncomment to enable BadRAM filtering, modify to suit your needs # This works with Linux (no patch required) and with any kernel that obtains # the memory map information from GRUB (GNU Mach, kernel of FreeBSD ...) #GRUB_BADRAM="0x01234567,0xfefefefe,0x89abcdef,0xefefefef" # Uncomment to disable graphical terminal (grub-pc only) #GRUB_TERMINAL=console # The resolution used on graphical terminal # note that you can use only modes which your graphic card supports via VBE # you can see them in real GRUB with the command `vbeinfo' #GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480 # Uncomment if you don't want GRUB to pass "root=UUID=xxx" parameter to Linux #GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID=true # Uncomment to disable generation of recovery mode menu entries GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY="true" # Uncomment to get a beep at grub start #GRUB_INIT_TUNE="480 440 1" GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER="true" -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960018 Title: Boot Failure - linux-image-5.13.0-28-generic | regression To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-5.13/+bug/1960018/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1960018] Re: Boot Failure - linux-image-5.13.0-28-generic | regression
Same thing, hardware is an Intel NUC NUC10i5FNK. OS: Ubuntu Server 20.04.3 LTS. Kiosk machine, when I select 5.13.0-28 to boot, it just freezes at loading ramdisk. 5.11.0-46-generic works just fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960018 Title: Boot Failure - linux-image-5.13.0-28-generic | regression To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-5.13/+bug/1960018/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 50114] Re: orinoco card won't connect to network
I have the same card, same driver, and same issue with network manager. My work around has always been with editing /etc/network/interfaces. Even if I select my wide open network with the NM it still doesn't connect. I have other cards, and it works just fine with them. I am running Ubuntu 6.06LTS dual boot with Kubuntu 6.06 LTS. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Unconfirmed = Confirmed -- orinoco card won't connect to network https://launchpad.net/bugs/50114 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 46060] Re: kernel panic
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, we are not able to fix and find the bug because your description of the bug didn't have enough information in it. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively, http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. [Bug 49483] Re: rhythmbox close button should minimise to tray
interesting. if you uses the Music menu in Rhytmbox and select close, it does exactly what you want, but when you click the 'X' it quits. http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=156358 this link is pretty much the same exact thing you just asked too. I just found it searching the forums. A quick fix is to Music Close in the menu list, or you can simply press: Ctrl+W to close it to the system tray. If you see anything else or find out anything else please post it, maybe somebody will come by with a fix to this. -- rhythmbox close button should minimise to tray https://launchpad.net/bugs/49483 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 49524] Re: Removal of ubuntu-desktop needs a stronger warning
Don't know how this is a bug, but however, it is a Wishlist item which I actually find viable. I have come across removing the Kubuntu Desktop which the warnings are similar. Of course further investigation by me saved me from head aches. Thank you for your posting as I am posiitive it will be reviewed. ** Changed in: ubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged = Wishlist -- Removal of ubuntu-desktop needs a stronger warning https://launchpad.net/bugs/49524 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
