[Bug 1853643] Re: Menu Fails to Launch Applications
Yes, I agree that is the same bug. I will wait for the fix from upstream. [Bug 1853643] Re: Menu Fails to Launch Applications
After a logout/login or reboot, it takes about 2+ weeks for the bug to manifest. It is finally back in that state. Some apps in the menu do not launch, menu search does not work, and Raven side panel does not open. I made a video to show. Review video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpCFbgldccw I can leave it in this state for a while if there is additional debugging information that I can capture and send. I am not sure how a re-install would help with troubleshooting. I am willing to assist in finding a root cause. Also, I remember now that I loaded a GTK3 theme and icons from gnome- look.org. Perhaps, these are incompatible. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1853643 Title: Menu Fails to Launch Applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/budgie-desktop/+bug/1853643/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1853643] Re: Menu Fails to Launch Applications
The problem manifested in 19.04 before the upgrade. I had hoped 19.10 would fix. The issue is intermittent. Logging out or rebooting fixes for a time. Launching favorited apps from the Icon Task List always works, so problem has been easy to ignore. This is the first Ubuntu bug I have ever filed, so it took me some time to get here.
