[Bug 554183] Re: [upstream] paste special does not work
I am also having this problem intermittently. When I hit shift+ctl+v, nothing happens; nor does anything happen when I select paste special from the edit menu. But the behavior isn't consistent... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554183 Title: [upstream] paste special does not work -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 485293] Re: [needs-packaging] cnetworkmanager
I know we're really not supposed to do this, but I feel compelled to add that I would very much like to see this happen! -- [needs-packaging] cnetworkmanager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/485293 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 457220] Re: OpenOffice crashes when saving .doc file with "notes" in it, Karmic.
This problem affects me as well, and like others here, I cannot do my job without the ability to save notes in .doc format. Deleting .openoffice does nothing for me. -- OpenOffice crashes when saving .doc file with "notes" in it, Karmic. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/457220 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 130224] Re: gtkfilechooser save/save as dialog misplaces focus
I'm afraid I have to agree with Ceriak. This is still an issue in Intrepid, at least for me. As Rkimber stated, it's no longer a problem if you open the dialog and type a filename directly. The problem happens when you navigate to another folder using the GtkTreeView. The text in the filename box remains highlighted, but when you attempt to type over it, you wind up entering text into the GtkTreeView filter. At the very least, the filename box text should be grayed out or deselected, to convey that it needs to be refocused in order to be edited. Frankly, I don't see the TreeView filter as a useful tool in this context; more useful would be an integrated filename box/filter. I don't know if such a thing is practically possible. But leaving the filename highlighted is plain bad ui design -- it's confusing and disorienting -- and it ought to be changed. -- gtkfilechooser save/save as dialog misplaces focus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/130224 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 180312] Re: compiz won't autodetect driver
Ooops! I was overzealous. It was really just a problem with my xorg.conf file. I edited it by hand at one point. Sorry for the bother! Still, you might consider idiotproofing the code for people like me who unthinkingly use /usr/lib64 instead of /usr/lib in their xorg.conf. -- compiz won't autodetect driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180312 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 180312] compiz won't autodetect driver
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz 7.10-amd64 nvidia graphics card When I went to enable desktop effects in the appearance dialogue, it didn't work. I then tried running compiz manually and received the following error: No whitelisted driver found aborting and using fallback: /usr/bin/metacity I've installed the restricted driver, so I know it's there. [Bug 136839] confusing partition manager ui
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: partman-partitioning When installing Ubuntu on a pre-partitioned hard drive, select "manual," and you are presented with a table of partitions. If you do not want to make any changes to the partitions, you will be inclined to click on "next," but if you do so, the installer complains that the root mount point isn't set. However, it is unclear how to set the root mount point -- it is not obvious that "Edit Partition" is the button to use. In setting a mount point, one is not "editing" anything but the fstab. At the very least, the error message you get should indicate that you must select a partition and then click on "Edit Partition" to set the mount point. A better solution would be to add a "Set Mount Point" button or some more self-explanatory item. ** Affects: partman-partitioning (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- confusing partition manager ui https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/136839 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
