[Bug 542660] Re: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything
Lubuntu. - not working Desktop works great for the CD installer (I assume it was using the Radeon driver). After reboot the Xorg log was complaining the the fglrx driver was missing after a manual apt-get install fglrx Reboot - no screen - flashing black on/off I have to reboot with the kernel options nomodeset xforcevesa then switch to a terminal with CTRL+ALT+F1 At the bottom of the xorg log is this. fglrx(0): Restoring Recent Mode via PCS is not supported in RANDR 1.2 capable environments I then generate a new xorg.conf with aticonfig --initial new error in the xorg log is (WW) fglrx: No matching Device Section for instance (BUSID PCI:0@0:1) found if I try to swap back to the driver radeon and remove the BUSID from the xorg file I get this error in xorg (II) [KMS] drm report modesetting isn't supported (EE) RADEON(0): Chipset: TURKS (ChipId = 0x6740) requires KMS -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/542660 Title: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/542660/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 542660] Re: New Apple iMac (Core i5) fails to display anything
Still effecting Apple Macbookpro (Core i5) 17 inch. Running 12.04 64bit. Installer via Live CD works, but after that nothing at all for vesa, radeon or fglrx drivers. Blank (LCD is lit but black) screen. Could be one of these two: -that the mini DVI is the default output -the driver requires the bios to be available and EFI boot does not do this. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26891 This bug is only effecting the newer MacBookPro's (i5) not effecting core duo older MacBooks. I am happy to any testing of patches etc.. [Bug 246790] Re: EasyCrypt 0.2.2.10 doesn't see TrueCrypt 6.0a
Hi Felix, and everyone else. I am currently working on supporting the current version of Truecrypt (6.1) you may notice that this version puts an icon in the Ubuntu Menu (Applications | Other | Truecrypt) this seems to complete the problems of a Missing GUI in truecrypt. I am sorry that support for v6.x has not been done sooner; real life busyness has prevented support of Easycrypt. However I do intend to fix easycrypt for 6.1 and I have a working version on my ibex install now. I am working through the process to update the version now. I have also tried adding the following into the /etc/init.d/mediatomb route add -net 239.0.0.0 netmask 255.0.0.0 eth0 ifconfig eth0 allmulti However id doesn't work, maybe it has something to do with network manager - and the default file /etc/network/interfaces which only contains auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp -- Init Script on Hardy not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212441 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 212441] Re: Init Script on Hardy not working
Fixed it manually I have added the following to my /etc/network/interfaces -- auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp -- so my whole file now is -- auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp -- The problem is that most (i suspect over 90%) people will alway rely on the GDM to set their network up, so the /etc/network/interfaces will never get an entry Whats needed is either DBUS integration to detect the current adapters, or maybe just a warning message on first start (this may scare off most people) What I would do is if there are no adapters detected, then maybe either Have an optional hard coded one in /etc/mediatomb/config.xml run the ifconfig command and take the first non-loopback entry with an IP -- Init Script on Hardy not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212441 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 204559] [NEW] EasyCrypt not Creating with certain settings
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: easycrypt User has reported the following bug some new crypts cannot be created with EC 0.2.2.8 and TC 5.1? I tried to create a new crypt, with keyfile, about 300 MB, Serpent- Twofish-AES Enc. Algorithm, RIPEMD-169 Hash Algorithm and EXT3 Filesystem. When I press New, I was asked for the password, but after that nothing happened, no progress bar, nor any sign of activity. After that I managed to create a crypt with EC default settings, and only then creation of EXT3 was successful. I tried again, and one more unsuccessful creation of a new crypt, no matter is it EXT3 or FAT. What's going on? Any ideas? BTW, Truecrypt created a new crypt normally.
