[Bug 1384249] [NEW] Display settings are not saved after reboot

Within 'Displays' i chose to mirror displays with a 1440x900 resolution. But whenever i tried, Ubuntu fails to do so. It's a driver issue - since within the same PC under Windows 7, it works. Not only that, after the attempt, the computer get really slow until i'll reboot or eventually get a kernel panic. cheers, Uri + --- + AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24. + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu12 + Architecture: amd64 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USERPID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC0: nitza 2830 F pulseaudio + nitza 20856 F TeamViewer.exe + /dev/snd/controlC1: nitza 2830 F pulseaudio + CRDA: Error: command ['iw', 'reg', 'get'] failed with exit code 1: nl80211 not found. + Card0.Amixer.info: + Card hw:0 'PCH'/'HDA Intel PCH at 0xf7c0 irq 43' +Mixer name : 'Intel CougarPoint HDMI' +Components : 'HDA:10ec0887,14627680,00100302 HDA:80862805,80860101,0010' +Controls : 45 +Simple ctrls : 21 + Card1.Amixer.info: + Card hw:1 'Camera'/'Vimicro Corp. Public bug reported: Hello everyone, First - see AskUbuntu issue here, to clarify the details: http://askubuntu.com/questions/171623/how-to-configure-1440x900-on-two- monitors-in-mirror-displays In short, i bought a new computer for my Mom: Processor : 4x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10GHz Memory : 3943MB (1228MB used) Operating System : Ubuntu 12.04 LTS -Resolution : 1024x768 pixels -OpenGL Renderer : Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Desktop X11 Vendor : The X.Org Foundation Genius Multimedia Keyboard ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse Venus USB2.0 Camera The computer is connected via DVI into a 19 screen and via HDMI into a 26 HDTV. Within 'Displays' i chose to mirror displays with a 1440x900 resolution. But whenever i tried, Ubuntu fails to do so. It's a driver issue - since within the same PC under Windows 7, it works. [Bug 903780] [NEW] auto update feature for non-linux operating systems
Public bug reported: hey folks, Libreoffice should use (within non-linux operating systems) an auto update feature. Same as happened in Firefox, whereas the update is automatic, or as in VLC, in which the update is a notification. I believe that the Firefox mechanism is better, yet i know it's quite a hassle to create. cheers ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: libreoffice (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic 3.0.9 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: wl ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Dec 13 17:41:02 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot - Release amd64 (20111012) ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: libreoffice UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-12-03 (9 days ago) ** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug libreoffice oneiric running-unity ** Tags added: libreoffice -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/903780 Title: auto update feature for non-linux operating systems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/903780/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 127732] Re: Searching Hebrew text works in reverse order
i can confirm (surprisingly) that this issue is SOLVED. [Bug 127732] Re: Searching Hebrew text works in reverse order
after a TRUE test, i realized the following: Adobe Reader version 9.4.2 (Feb. 11, 2011) can recognize the Hebrew text within the search as is, without typing it backwards. Evince, however, cannot. Therefore we're back to square one. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127732 Title: Searching Hebrew text works in reverse order -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Fabio, i don't believe it's reproducible with the current versions - simply due to the fact it didn't happen again.. but frankly, i don't want to get that issue again :) About the package issue, I added the language-selector cheers -- can't write in english in login screen with hebrew default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/381843 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
