the password doesn't work at all. That is way it is showing errors in the /var/log/auth.log file. It looks as it couldn't write at the login.keyring file. For example. Right know I've deleted the /home/malev/.gnome2/keyring directory And I opened the ubuntuone-client-applet (wich ask for the keyring). So it ask me to set a new keyring password. I set one. I'm not sure if I understand you. The first time it ask me about the pass I entered one, but it keeps asking me about it. Then I delete the login.keyring file (I remember there was a default.keyring file too). In fact I deleted all the directory. So it asked me for configuring a new password for the keyring. So I configured a new one, but the window keeps appearing. I dig a little more and I've found the /var/log/auth.log file. I've tried to set it as: with or without a pass. But it still asking me.
