[Bug 1939895] Re: The application menu flickers in wayland

[Bug 1933245] Re: mlx5_core: Error cqe on cqn leads to hang
Thanks for looking into this. I will try edge HWE. I did try it week or two ago but it was still at 5.8. I will need to let the 5.11 kernel run for couple of days to be sure that it is properly fixed. Btw the same problem also exists on 5.4 kernel line. I do not have vmcore from that kernel version as it was not setup back then and afterwards I have tried hwe kernel to see if it was fixed. What I am trying to say is that I get that it is not straightforward backport but we still should think about fixing as it affects LTS release. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1933245 Title: mlx5_core: Error cqe on cqn leads to hang To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-signed-hwe-5.8/+bug/1933245/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1904470] Re: Monitor fails to wake after lock when dash-to-panel is loaded
Just some additional info not sure how relevant it is.. and this is something that has been happening from the start i just forgot to mention it.. /facepalm The screen does start to wake up, it blinks like its going to show the image on the screen and HDMI in the corner shows up but the screen is black. The screen then turns off and turns on again same thing and does this loop a third time before it turns off completely. If i try to wake the machine again it will do the same 3 stage loop and turn off. Unpluging the HDMI cable and plugging it back in resolves the issue until the next lock. Also tested the same with 60Hz and on Windows 10 with 100Hz just to make sure its not an issue with the monitor or HDMI cable itself but i cant replicate the issue on 60Hz (Ubuntu) or 100Hz (Windows 10). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1904470 Title: Monitor fails to wake after lock when dash-to-panel is loaded To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-panel/+bug/1904470/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1904470] Re: Monitor fails to wake after lock when dash-to-panel is loaded
Hi Daniel, This is weird.. the issue went away when dash to panel was disabled for a whole day but today it came back. I tried disabling all extensions one by one, reloging after each and i got to the point where all extensions and the whole extensions section is disabled, relog, issue is still present. At the moment i have no extensions enabled and the whole extensions section disabled in gnome tweaks and the issue persists. The only time the issue went away during this whole testing process is when i disabled the screenshot tool extension i then enabled dash to panel and the issue came back. I disabled dash to panel and the issue is still here. I then disabled everything and the issue is not going away. I did log out/in when i disabled everything but i did not reboot the machine.. [Bug 1904470] Re: 100Hz monitor fails to wake after lock
Hi Daniel, You were correct! It was in fact dash to panel that was causing the issue. Disabled all extensions and log out/in, lock the machine -> wakes up without issue. Enable dash to panel, relog, lock -> cant wake up. Thanks for the assist and sorry for wasting your time. I was able to install ubuntu on ASUS x541uj, with option install alongside Windows boot manager (it was not convenient, because I had to do repartition of my drives before installation to setup only one partition, and do partition again afterwards, linux home folder and root folder was on same partition.) Anyways, I was able to boot in linux, and Windows separately, but I had experienced lags, errors, and freezes in linux, so I concluded that there is incompatibility on hardware level, and I uninstalled linux. But boot of grub was left in my EFI boot drive, so I did manually deleted it, but my PC still recognise linux somewhere... Yes, it appears to be the same bug. It's the FIF_EXR constant that's wrong. A temporary workaround is to do this: FREE_IMAGE_FORMAT exrFormat = FreeImage_GetFIFFromFilename("dummy.exr"); Then using exrFormat in place of FIF_EXR make the problem disappear. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1614266 Title: Freeimage library does not write EXR files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeimage/+bug/1614266/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1614266] Re: Freeimage library does not write EXR files
Hi Ghis, sure, the patch is below, but note: this only patches the build of FreeImage 3.17.0 *from source*. The original bug I reported above is that the *packaged* version FreeImage cannot write EXRs. That bug still exists and I have no idea how to fix it. For now our team has to resort to building FreeImage from source. [Bug 1614266] Re: Freeimage library does not write EXR files
Hi Ghis, yes, we confirmed that it works correctly with FreeImage 3.17.0 built from source. So the bug is specific to Ubuntu 16.04 packaging. (Note, the source did not build out of the box, there was some trivial bug with raw string delimiters that we had to manually patch.) Hope this helps. [Bug 1422467] [NEW] Wrong language displayed in the Digital Clock Widget Kubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet with Plasma 5

[Bug 1176349] Re: Right click move to another workspace doesn't work
I'm using 13.04 upgraded from 12.10. After a week of use I also run sudo apt-get upgrade which downloaded around 230Mb of updated software. I'm also running that command with sudo apt-get update every day from then. I have also set up my enviroment to have three workplaces in a row: [workplace 1][workplace 2][workplace 3] and I switch between them by pressing ctrl+alt+right arrow, or left arrow. Example of issue: 1: Open terminal ctrl+alt+t 2: While on terminal screen press: ctrl+alt+3 Terminal screen should be in lower right section of screen. 3: Right click on terminal title bar 4: Move to another workplace 5: Workplace 2 or Workplace 3 Terminal screen doesn't go away to selected workplace. Insted it stays, like it's position is locked. However, moving of terminal window to another workplace works fine after I manually pull the terminal window away from lower right position set by pressing ctrl+alt+3. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1176349 Title: Right click move to another workspace doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1176349/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1127872] Re: Audio stops working, requesting rewind due to end of underrun
I think my problem is the same. Started today after system updates. Running 13.04 and when it boots up to desktop, the first sound I start works. So Rhytmbox, VLC, or Ytube in Chromium, whichever I start first, works, and there is sound. Then when I stop it, next thing I play wont produce the sound and I must reboot to take efect. Rhytmbox wont play songs, VLC and Ytube play video without audio. In Volume control in the panel play/pause ff i bw buttons changed colours to gray from the beggining. It even plays JB, VLC and YT for the first time all three of them work, but if I stop playback and then start anything new, the same problem.
