[Bug 1732311] [NEW] Ubuntu 18.04 daily build Force UEFI installation dialog not responsive
Public bug reported: I cannot get over the "Force UEFI Installation?" dialog in Ubuntu 18.04 daily build. It does not respond on Go Back, Continue nor red x button (in top right corner). Everything seems OK, but I just cannot continue with the installation. I have downloaded the Ubuntu 18.04 daily build from 14/11/2017, I have installation in Virtualbox (ubutnu 17.10), and I installed it with the "try Ubuntu and install" option in UEFI mode, with gpt partition table previously created by gparted. [Bug 1309617] Re: plymouth-upstart-bridge main process (189) terminated with status 1 at boot
Hello, the same problem here: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64b - Linux kernel 3.13.0-34-generic #60-Ubuntu SMP Wed Aug 13 15:45:27 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=noplymounth and update-grub did not work. BTW, is there typo in post #11 ? I used noplymouth in my /etc/default/grub GRUB_TERMINAL=console did not work either. Otherwise boots normally (except for complaining on ACPI, but it is another story). [Bug 1241589] Re: ubuntu 13.10 unable to boot on live usb (busy box - initramfs)
Same here! USB stick (created by lili or startup disc creator), and also DVD from the official Ubuntu 13.10 Desktop 64 bits iso ends with initramfs. Motherboard: ASUS P5Q3 CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E6300 (2.8GHz) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT640 RAM: 8 GB BTW, the USB and DVD both worked for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS like charm for the same BIOS setup. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1241589 Title: ubuntu 13.10 unable to boot on live usb (busy box - initramfs) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnomeradio/+bug/1241589/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
