The dpkg.txt file is still missing, but that probably doesn't matter. I don't think this is a valid bug. [Bug 1776859] Re: Bluetooth doesn't work on ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Acer aspire E1-571)
It appears you have a PCI-connected card: Broadcom Limited BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter But it's unclear if your wifi card supports bluetooth at all. In one case on the web an engineer has mentioned "Some of the 4313's have BT, and some don't.". I still can't find evidence your laptop supports bluetooth at all. Did it work in Windows? Also, please add the missing file: dpkg -l > dpkg.txt Finally, if you installed bluez via a snap, please try removing it. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** No longer affects: bluez (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1776859 Title: Bluetooth doesn't work on ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Acer aspire E1-571) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1776859/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Alternatively, now that we have a bug number, you can start by just running this command on the machine: apport-collect 1776859 That will do all of the work for you. Or most of it at least. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1776859 Title: Bluetooth doesn't work on ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Acer aspire E1-571) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1776859/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1776859] Re: Bluetooth doesn't work on ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Acer aspire E1-571)
Javi, My first thought is that it looks like the kernel doesn't have a driver that supports your bluetooth hardware. If it did then the 'rfkill' command would usually mention "bluetooth". Next, please run the following commands on the machine: lspci -k > lspci.txt lsusb > lsusb.txt dmesg > dmesg.txt dpkg -l > dpkg.txt and then attach the resulting four text files to this bug. ** Tags added: bionic ** Changed in: bluez (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1776859 Title: Bluetooth doesn't work on ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Acer aspire E1-571) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1776859/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
