[Bug 59413] Re: cant go to https sites with edgy firefox
Are you sure that the issue that you have is not Bug #57923 ? nope, i do not think so. I can open Firefox by hand and open a https page. The same issue appears. -- cant go to https sites with edgy firefox https://launchpad.net/bugs/59413 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 59413] Re: cant go to https sites with edgy firefox
This behavior seems to be fixed (Manually Opening Firefox, then opening HTTPS webpages). In spite, the Thunderbird HTTPs bug is not fixed yet, but that is not the topic of this bug report. ** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Fix Released -- cant go to https sites with edgy firefox https://launchpad.net/bugs/59413 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 59413] Re: [Bug 59413] Re: cant go to https sites with edgy firefox
i am fairly certain...i think i remember killing firefox and restarting it...after doing so i received the same error message... next time it happens ill try to kill and restart and we will find out...would make sense that you are right however since its happened so rarely... could it be - that if i opened a firefox session from thunderbird the issue would remain even if i closed and re-opened firefox? [Bug 59413] Re: cant go to https sites with edgy firefox
Doesn't seem to be a language pack related problem for me. I do not have any addons installed (excepting the Firefox default theme) and the same issue appears. But when I move my .mozilla directory and restart Firefox, https sites work fine. When I remove .mozilla then and move my old .mozilla directory to .mozilla, followed by a Firefox restart, everything works fine for some time again. Moving .mozilla is not a permanent solution since every user who upgrades to Edgy would loose his bookmarks, cookies and so on. This has been reported in the forums by several people: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=247093 -- cant go to https sites with edgy firefox https://launchpad.net/bugs/59413 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Strangely it happens to some and not others. My two Edgy boxes are both unaffected, but clearly something's going on for the people here... -- cant go to https sites with edgy firefox https://launchpad.net/bugs/59413 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
