Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] 7.4 Squeezeserver and Gentoo
Hi, I was just about to put a post on the Gentoo forums, asking if there was a holdup, when I thought to check here. Great that you're doing this, and thanks for a good job with the ebuilds. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezeslave problems
Squeezeslave doesn't support gapless playback due to the way the buffering code was implemented. It's on my TODO list as part of rewriting the buffering code. The WASAPI support in libportaudio does not currently support exclusive mode. I didn't notice any startup delays when I was testing, however, Ionly tested using 44.1KHz samplerate files. What samplerate are you using? If it's 48KHz the driver might be resampling as SS is opening the device using 44.1KHZ as that's the only rate SS supports. I'll play around with this a bit to see if I can reproduce. -- ralphy ralphy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3484 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57746 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezeboxserver, Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic, and MySQL
This is a right royal pain. I'll try to stimulate some interest as it is clearly a squeezebox server problem. -- mudlark SB3CyrusDACXPreXvsESPAudio P09B Active filterNAP140+260ARhapsody, Avondale and Naim cable, Kubuntu Jaunty Jakalope server, various boxes for storage. [SlimDevices: Unix] Playlist info missing
After upgrading to Squeezebox Server on my Ubuntu 9.04 playlists info isn't displayed. See attached screenshot. chmod is 777, user:group is primary_user_at_server:users - none has been changed after install of Squeezebox Server from what I remember. Can anyone help me troubleshoot? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] SC doesn't scan contents of symbolically linked directories
Instead of a symlink I put my second music directory inside the Squeezebox music folder through a bind mount in fstab. To my surprise, the result is the same: though the mount is browsable through command line Nautilus, Squeezebox Server shows it as an album. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezeslave problems
I am no longer getting the super long delay, now its only about a second. I think it was because I installed the asio4all package, even thought my Asus HDAV had asio support. I've uninstalled asio4all and its all good now. I've noticed if I seek to the end of a track -10 second from the end it will not play to the next track, but if i seek further from the end of the track from that then the gapless play to the next track works, which you have already noted. Keep up the good work ralphy, and thanks! -- Line Line's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=23800 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57746 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
