If IQAudio haven't come up with a case by then I may buy something like the Pimoroni case with GPIO exposed and some sort of mechanical support of the external DAC and SSD drive. Incidentally I noticed your .DSF test tracks which play on the DAC+ as you know. I had a couple of the 2L Test tracks too including the Hoff Ensemble. I've now got into SACD ripping through a second hand Sony Blu Ray (£30.00) and some of the results are quite brilliant. The Analogue Productions SACD's of Nat King Cole are excellent if not almighty expensive and illusive. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 5.0.0
It's a soekris dam 1021. It would be awesome if you could add minicom to the repo. I don't need to connect every time. In theory I could boot into raspbian, connect, set it up and then boot back into pcp. But the serial connection is required for things like changing the iir filters etc. So if I want to test a new filter, it gets rather cumbersome. surfatwork's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65589 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110642 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

[SlimDevices: Unix] PiCorePlayer and pi 1B
I cannot seem to figure out this tidbit of information... Can piCorePlayer properly run as a squeeze player on a first gen (single core) raspberry pi 1b? Ian, I loaded up an IQAudio DAC+ onto a rpi4b (4gb). It has pcp installed (running the default 32 bit kernel) Code: piCorePlayer v6.0.0-b6 | linux 4.19.80-pcpCore_v7l | piCore v10.2pCP | Squeezelite v1.9.6-1198-pCP I started playing "Stones in the Road". I turned the pi on its long edge, with the audio outputs on the top. The temperature bumped along at 51/52C. At halfway through the album playback I returned it to the horizontal position The temperature averaged 55/56C Added a gpio extender between the board and the dac. I repeated the test with another album (Fat City). The recorded temeratures were much the same. Hope this is helpful ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110727 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 5.0.0
That's interesting. What DAC is that? I should be able to rebuild the minicom extension later today, and upload to our repo. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 5.0.0
Do they need to be accessed on each boot? If not then could you boot Raspbian and make your settings changes and save them to the card? The Pi is connected to a DAC. The DAC firmware settings are accessed over a serial connection. surfatwork's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65589 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110642 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
