Re: [libreoffice-users] Avira antivirus in windows thinks Libreoffice 3.4.0-beta3 is a trojan

2011-05-05 Thread Stefano Fraccaro
I have asked Avira... this is a real false positive and future updates
of virus database will resolve the problem :-)

Hi :)
Virus scanning is a bit pointless in linux but it is a good for scanning
Windows partitions or over the network, or from a LiveCd/Usb (=bootable
Cd/Usb). Trinity Rescue Kit has a good LiveCd for this and other Windows
problems. The bootable Cd boots straight into a very simple menu with options
at the top for anti-virus scanning (it downloads definitions into ram when you
select this option).

Kind regards

Hi,

I haven't tried running LibreOffice 3.4.0 beta in Windows yet, but I think
it may have to do with your security software.

I used to use AVG, and didn't have any problems. (I use Linux now) I didn't
have problems using beta 1, so I think it should be OK for beta 3.
