So etwas wird grundsätzlich nicht funktionieren, weil

1.

offen liegen. Damit sind praktische alle Möglichkeiten versperrt das
nachzubauen was MS im Bezug auf Paßwörter macht.

3.

.

Vielen Dank für die Unterstützung.

How to install OO in Ubuntu: Start a Terminal
In the terminal type

sudo apt-get purge libreoffice*

Note that the the trailing * is important.

When the OpenOffice file is downloaded, double click on it and the system
archive manager should start up. Tell it to extract the files - these are
normally extracted to a sub directory of the Downloads folder, in my case
called en-GB (as I use the GB version). Your version will differ.

Now, in a terminal manoeuvre to that sub folder. In my case this is by the
following commands; in your case rory will be replaced by your logon name and
en-GB may be changed, as I mentioned.

cd /home/rory/Downloads/en-GB
cd DEBS
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
When that has completed, do this

cd desktop-integration
sudo dpkg -i *.deb

Do not omit this last change of directory and repeat of the installation
command, as this puts links for OpenOffice into your Office group.

I suspect - only a guess - that in your installation process you overlooked
this final directory change and installation of the desktop-integration section.

This installation method has worked for every. DEB installation I have made

desktop entries for Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_Linux_x86-64_install-deb_zh-CN doesn't work for Debian Jessie.

2016-01-26 Thread Hongyi Zhao
Hi all,

I'm using Debian Jessie, and I installed the lastest
Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_Linux_x86-64_install-deb_zh-CN on my box.

But, the desktop entries cann't be launched at all, say for writer.desktop.

I can find the following location which this file is installed into:

$ mlocate -ir writer.desktop
/opt/openoffice4/share/xdg/writer.desktop

And it has the following exec line in this file:

$ grep -i 'exec' /opt/openoffice4/share/xdg/writer.desktop
Exec= -writer %U

But, when I running the openoffice4 command directly from within
terminal, it will fail like this:

$ openoffice4
bash: openoffice4: command not found

Any hints?

The Best PDF Editor and PDF Converter Ever Created

2016-01-26 Thread Jamie Smith
Hi there,

First off, I wanted to compliment you on the page you have created at
https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31319. While I was on the
page for work, I noticed
you featured iText PDF's website:

http://cts.vresp.com/c/?Formswift.com/f75384794f/3430fdbeb2/319e2893c7

iText PDF is a great resource, but what if you want to edit and
convert your PDF for completely free? Well, our startup,
formswift.com, has a solution.

We thought that we could create a better-looking, more efficient PDF
Editor and PDF Converter, which could help individuals expedite the
process of editing and converting PDFs at absolutely no cost. Here is
our finished work:

http://cts.vresp.com/c/?Formswift.com/f75384794f/3430fdbeb2/a504ef72c0

http://cts.vresp.com/c/?Formswift.com/f75384794f/3430fdbeb2/ca4e5eb5da

In my opinion, our PDF Editor and PDF Converter are more thorough, up
to date, and user friendly than any other existing PDF editors and
converters - not to mention they are completely free for anyone to
use. So, considering you have previously shared iText PDF's website,
I think it would be great if you could add our PDF Editor and PDF
Converter as companion tools for your readers.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to
chatting with you soon!

Cheers,

Jamie

RE: Is it your official application for Windows Phone?

2016-01-26 Thread Dennis E. Hamilton
[BCC Apache OpenOffice Project Management Committee]

Juri,

The Windows Store applications "OpenOffice Writer" and "OpenOffice Text Viewer"
are not produced by the Apache OpenOffice project.

They are not the "official" application.

Although it is permissible for others to build versions of Apache OpenOffice
that are their own custom products, there are some formalities involved and it
is helpful that there be no confusion with distributions provided by the AOO
project itself. It is not clear at all what relationship these two apps have
to Apache OpenOffice.

I see that the listings in the Store link to http://www.openoffice.org as the
web site for these applications. Terms of Use are listed as "All rights
reserved" and the support email address is to
openoffice.windows.supp...@yahoo.com, not an address for this project.

If and when Windows Store applications are available from the project itself,
be assured they will be featured prominently on the openoffice.org web site,
along with distributions made available in other app stores.

Thank you for your report,

 - Dennis

2016-01-26 Thread Wade Smart
I just used another email to sign up, verify my sign up, request
unsubscribe and, verify unsubscribe request.

You may have been told what to do but to be clear: you HAVE to verify
the unsubscribe. If you are not getting that, check your spam filter.
NO one (that Im aware of) will unsubscribe you.

And if that doesnt work - set a filter to delete any email from
openoffice.apache.org.

2016-01-26 Thread Brenda Pruyn
I have looked all over the net and haven't found the correct way to turn of
Auto Correct. All I have seen is: Turn ALL off/on: under Format > AutoCorrect >
While Typing.
That doesn't exist no matter how many times i have tried. i have 4.1.2 if that
helps.. please tell me how to stop this. It is so annoying! I keep trying to
fix misspelled words and it keeps making them wrong again.

Without details of the exact error message I can only guess that this may be
the Gatekeeper problem.

This thread

tells you how to cure it.

Or it could be the reopen window issue. If so:

You need to delete the folder "org.openoffice.script.savedState". It is in the
"Saved
Application State" folder in your User/Library.

See this post on the user forum for detailed instructions:

Re: OO Writer Button "Datenquellen"

Hallo,

From: hartwig.eil...@t-online.de [mailto:hartwig.eil...@t-online.de]

http://de.openoffice.info/viewtopic.php?f=27=54231#p206070

Was heisst denn das konkret?
Standard*Einstellung* weil Du etwas missverstanden hast?

Re: how do I convert a template to a style?

2016-01-26 Thread Regina Henschel

Hi Jim,

Jim McLaughlin schrieb:

Now I am confused.

What is a "registered Template" as opposed to a "non registered template"

For example, if you want your text document to become a template, then
you can do

(A) File > Templates > Save. There you choose a category and enter a
name for the template. OK. That is part of the template manager.

or you do

(B) File > Sava as. There you set the file type to "ODF Text Document
Template (.ott)(*.ott)".

In case (A) the new template is visible in File > New > Templates and
Documents. And when you select the template in that dialog and use
"open", then you get a document, that is not only based on that
template, but the new document contains the information from which
template it is generated in its document properties. With such templates
you can generate a hierarchy of templates, templates based on other
templates. When a template is changed afterwards, the document notices this.
That is, what I call a "registered" template. I do not know an official
term for that.
The shortcoming is, that you cannot choose freely the place where the
template is stored, but you have to stick to the path, which you have
set in Tool > Options.

In case (B) you can choose an arbitrary place to store the template.
When you later on double-click the template a new file is generated
based on this template. But the new file does not store the information
about its parent template. Therefore the document cannot inform you, in
case the template is changed.

Kind regards
Regina
