Re: writer

2017-02-02 Thread Kevin Smorong

I would open an existing doc in Writer and when finished the page would not
close and all links were frozen. I would have to shut down computer and when I
rebooted I got a "start recovery" message which would close the page. I went to
setup.exe and ran the repair. This seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for
all your help and suggestions.

Is this on a PC or Mac?

This has been discussed many times and the answer seems to be the same
every time. Even if you could download Writer only, its size would still be
maybe 90% of the size of the whole suite.

I heard that AbiWord stepped up a bit with their latest release, I don't
know since I don't use it myself, but maybe that is worth trying? A lot
less to download than Apache OpenOffice…

Kind regards

Re: What Happened to OO Writer?

2017-02-02 Thread nasrin khaksar
hi.
i tried to download only writer in two years ago without any success.
i realy wish that openoffice libreoffice developers make the situation
easy for users that only want one or two part of the program, not one
complete package.
i downloaded and tested many versions of two office suites, but i only
need writer not one complete office package!
i wish that developers of these great office projects, read my comment.
thanks every one and God bless you all.

Companies that donate to 501(c)(3) organizations can, and usually do
deduct it, when it comes to paying taxes.

I repeat, deductions and credits are vastly different.

For companies that contribute developers, their costs are no greater

True, but competitors can use their work, but they can't use competitors.
