Help I shrunk open office

2016-08-08 Thread DaveMainwaring
I had two windows open. In one I was editing the text. I clicked someplace
and the page scrolled and and the text shank maybe 1 point size.
I close OO and reopened it.
The opening pane was very different. Small, black background and brightly
colored Icons. Missing was the page I have seen for years. No text just the
icons.
Clicked on then text document icon and up came a page the size of a postage
stamp.

How do fix this beast?

running on PC with Windows 10

my other choices open the document I was editing just fine.

approximately 500-page book. Opening the file may take a moment because of
the length and number of illustrations.
Paper back version can be purchased at Amazon and lulu. Just reading the
index it is an awesome book.

I have a folder full of many *plain* not formatted text files

I am using AOO on a windows 7 laptop

If I dag and drop one file name by one into open window of new doc I can
insert file

{copy and pasting} If I highlight and then copy the directory list of files
into open doc, only the first (top) file gets pasted inserted.

 copy a+b c
creates a file c containing a concatenation of the contents of files

Doesn't seem to do it for me, all I get is a dupliction of files addresses
copied

Perhaps a press release could then be sent to prominent computer gurus

Perhaps help could be enlisted from socially responsible Search Engine

ranking the official community wide download link site first when people
search for any of the Open Source SW which it advertises.

You can record a macro and assign it to a button or shortcut key. The
needed command is in Insert Fields Others. Tab Document, Type Date,
Select Date (fixed). For Format scroll down to Additonal Formats. In that
format dialog use the format string TT.MM.JJ HH:MM.

Grid Paper

This template uses cell borders to create printable Grid Paper, in 3
different grid sizes.

The spreadsheet is set up to print on Letter size paper (8.5x11), but by
deleting or copying rows and columns it is simple to modify it to print on
A4 or other size paper.

Due to the limitations in the column and row dimensions, the grid is not
perfectly square, but it may work for casual use. Do not use this template
if you require perfect scaling.

For graph paper that uses a 1/4 inch, 1/5 inch, or centimeter scale, see
the Printable Graph Paper PDF files on Vertex42.com.

We can have endless discussions on this (as we can have endless
discussions on whether Reply-To by default should go to the list or to the
sender). The current setup is the standard Apache setup and our tools have
limited configuration options, that we already explored in detail together
 with the Infra team.

There are a lot of intelligent people on this LIST and at Apache. Why is
there no on-line forum for AOO?

What? The forum is at https://forum.openoffice.org/ it handles 100+ help
requests per day in 10 languages, it is maintained by the project and
hosted on an Apache Software Foundation server and it is the first option
 listed at http://www.openoffice.org/contact_us.html

I joined because I wanted the interaction of other users and clues to
problems and solutions of the AOO software.

This is exactly the spirit of this list. We very much prefer that users
subscribe, and you'll hardly find a link to this list on our site that
comes without the recommendation to subscribe. Still, it seems many users
prefer to send a quick mail rather than using the forum, and this is why we
currently allow non-subscribed members to post.
