You should put the integrator and connector plugins in

Where could i have a look into this?

First check your own calendars.
Open the calendar list in tab Calendars.
Select your calendar, then right click on it.
In the context menu use Sharing

For Free/Busy display there should be an entry for Any Authenticated User.
This user should have at least privileges View the Date Time for
public and confidential events.
You can see these by double clicking on this user entry.

While testing I once had an entry for myself in this list (don't know
how I got there). If you do have this too, remove it!
This does all sort of weird things.

Then let the one who shared his calendar(s) to you check his settings.
Perhaps he did revoke the privilege to delete events.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Yes I am. The download works, it updates lightning, but it doesn't stop.
After the restart it wants to install the same lightning version again
and again, even though you can see in the local extensions folder that
the correct version is installed.

[SOGo] Issues with Address Book (Thunderbird with Integrator)

2011-08-24 Thread Chris Moules
Hello,

I am supporting a small SOGo installation at a client of ours, it has been
running a month or two. This is replacing an old
Exchange system from which most of the data was migrated.

First, the setup:
Server
Debian Squeeze (6.0)
SOGo 1.3.7a (via apt) using OpenLDAP (auth) and MySQL
(storage(folder/session/profile)).
Mail: Dovecot/Postfix

Client
Windows 7
Thunderbird 3.1.10 (IMAP) with:
 - Connector 3.105
 - Integrator 3.105
 - Lightning (Inverse) 1.0b2.105i

They have started re-working their address book in the past week(s) and a few
issues have come to light.
Starting from 'it doesn't work' I have spent a few hours working along side a
few people testing and I can confirm that things
are not working as they should. This seems to be limited exclusively to the
address book as the calendar seems to work fine.

It seems to boil down to the fact that changes made on the Client (Thunderbird)
do not (mainly) get reflected on the server and
other clients. Doing a right-click and 'Synchronize' on the shared address book
also does not prompt all changes (a PROPFIND is
seen in the logs). Closing and re-starting Thunderbird, however, does seem to
trigger a update. This needs to be done on both
the Client who has made the changes and then afterwards on another client for
them to 'receive' the updates from the server.

I have good access to the server (via SSH) and so the logs and configuration
but limited access to the Client PC's for testing.

I have been unable to reproduce this on a local SOGo install but this
environment does not reflect that of the clients.

I have been reading through the archives looking for something that mirrors
this issue but did not find anything from this year.
The closest I found was this thread:
http://www.mail-archive.com/users@sogo.nu/msg00259.html but that seems to be
an issue
that was resolved and I my traces I did not see a HTTP header
Transfer-Encoding: chunked.

I have not found any suspects in the sogo.log or apache access.log.

Any help or pointers on how to debug and resolve this would be great.

Regards

Chris Moules

Jakob,

I'm not sure your exact setup, but I did run into a similar situation a
few weeks ago. I can't give an exact answer why, but I think I was
trying to install mixed versions of extensions, i.e. 105, 106, nightly,
stable, etc. I decided to scrap it and use all the extensions from
nightly at the following location.

https://inverse.ca/downloads/extensions/nightly/

I'm running SOGo nightly, and these nightly extensions all pushed
successfully to multiple workstations once properly configured. They
have been stable as far as I can tell.

happen is that some vcards upset the server and they are not synced. But
as you say a restart of TB syncs them so this is not the problem.
