[SOGo] Downgrade Thunderbird from 7.x to 3.1

2011-11-02 Thread Paul van der Vlis
Hello,

Are here people with experiences to downgrade Thunderbird from 7.x to
3.1? My goal is to use the Sogo address book plugin.

When it's possible to use it with Thunderbird 7.x I am interested in
experiences too.

With regards,
Paul van der Vlis.

If your account e-mail is imap, you can de-install TB7 and re-install
TB 3.1 without problem

2011-11-02 Thread Brendan Murtagh
No, when one of our users accidentally upgraded to TB 7 we found issues using
Sogo Connector Lightning Inverse.

To fix, we simply put the previous version (3.1.9) back on.

To be fair, I haven't bothered putting TB 7.x on my work machine because the
Sogo Frontends only shows the add-ons for TB 3.1.x TB 2.x

But in Thunderbird there is more then only IMAP mail. There are
accounts, there are filters, there is learning data for spam, settings,
signings, identities, etc. And also downloading imap mail can take some
hours when you have much mail.

That's the reason that I am intereted if it is possible to uninstall TB7
(without removing it's configuration data and mail) and install TB3.1.

I did it with TB5 and TB6 (updated by accident) and hat no problems. But
I have no filters (they are server side) and no spam lerning data
(server side as well). All other data were used as before the update.

[SOGo] Option to allow searching all sub-folders (webmail)

2011-11-02 Thread rainer
is there a chance to get something like thunderbird's
mail.check_all_imap_folders_for_new option to allow all sub-folders to be
searched for new mail?

It's really crucial to have such a feature when making heavy use of filters to
deliver incoming mail to different sub-folders. Otherwise you risk missing
important mails.

Right now that's what makes us keep horde as an additional web-mail
interface.

TIA

Re: [SOGo] CalDAV and iOS5

2011-11-02 Thread Christian Roessner
Hallo,

I am using several iPhones with SOGo. We had the 4th iOS version on the
smartphones, but two of us upgraded to iOS5. This broke our calendars.
We all have at least two calendars. The problem show up in that way that
we do not see all of our calendars. In my case, I have the standard
calendar and a calendar called Test. After updateing I only get the Test
 calendar.

Problem solved. The upgrade iOS-4-to-5 killed my CalDAV settings. In
detail: the Account-URL was cleared. I fixed it by adding:

https://u...@server.dom.tld/SOGo/dav/user/

on my system. After that my calendars reappeared.

Best wishes
Christian

This was the answer I expected and the exact thing I tried to do, but

Is perhaps my DAV location URL somehow wrong? The one I used was the
same I used with Mac's iCal:

 http://myserver/SOGo/dav/myusern...@domain.dom

The best way to get the correct URL is to go to the web frontend, select
the calendar, select Properties and copy the CalDAV URL from the tab
Links to this calendar.

For me this looks like

https://sogo.mydomain/SOGo/dav/myusername/Calendar/46C-4E172380-1-7413EA80

Works fine for me with Thunderbird 7.0.1, and Lightning 1.0b7.

Update all SOPE packages. You likely have old SOPE packages installed

Hello Jürgen,

remove the win32 from the lighting, both in the file and in the update
script.

  = array( application = thunderbird,
   version = 1.0b2.106i,

and rename the file lightning-1.0b2.106i_win32.xpi to

The folder is then automagically selected based on the platform your tb

That did the trick. I had old sope file lying around. Sadly these were

following packages by hand:
- sope49-gdl1-contentstore
- sope49-ical

This remove sogo as well (dependency). After install sogo again I got
new sope-card and sope-gdl1-contentstore files. Old versions were
1.3_20110726 (ical was even older: 4.9-20100721). new Versions are
1.3.9-2 so they match the one from sogo package. sope-ial seems no

Once again, many thanks to you working at SOGo, it is a awesome piece

Re: [SOGo] CalDAV and iOS5

2011-11-02 Thread Dominique BERTHET
Hello,

I have upgraded SOGo from 1.3.8b to 1.3.9 but we always have the same
problem with IOS 5 and the same message in sogo.log.

2011-11-02 11:23:50.767 sogod[17326] -[WEClientCapabilities
initWithRequest:]: Unknown WebClient: user-agent='iOS/5.0 (9A334)
dataaccessd/1.0'

I check the file WORequest+SOGo.m and see the correction described here:
http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=1457 but the problem is here...
We test with SOGo 2.0b1 too and have the same problem

Thanx a lot

 Best wishes

Ah, thanks

That did the trick. I had old sope file lying around. Sadly these were
not updated automatically by yum update (why?). I had to remove the
following packages by hand:
- sope49-gdl1-contentstore
- sope49-ical
- sope49-cards

This remove sogo as well (dependency). After install sogo again I got
new sope-card and sope-gdl1-contentstore files. Old versions were
1.3_20110726 (ical was even older: 4.9-20100721). new Versions are
1.3.9-2 so they match the one from sogo package. sope-ial seems no
longer be needed.

Once again, many thanks to you working at SOGo, it is a awesome piece
of software.

Update all SOPE packages. You likely have old SOPE packages installed

Yes - but I cant explain how. We had a rogue package management system.
People would upgrade their thunderbird using the internal upgrade system

would break is their addons that may have been upgraded at the same time.

[SOGo] iPhone strange behaviours

2011-11-02 Thread Matthieu ROGER
Title: Signature Matthieu ROGER

Hello,

I've got several customers on several servers using iPhone and Sogo
(CardDav/CalDav) succesfully with Sogo version 1.9
But, with one specific customer, I get this issue : If I only
configure CalDav calendar, everything is fine, synchro beetween Sogo
and iPhone work like a charm.
But when I add CardDav Addressbook, iPhone freezes on addressbook, I
have to restart or reset iPhone. If I access first to the Calendar,
I've got troubles with Addressbook and vice versa, if I access first
to the Addressbook, synchronization between Sogo and iPhone is
broken.
On another hand, Sogo works perfectly using webinterface or
sogo-connector in Thuberbird.

So, I would like to know if other Sogo users have seen same issue
than describe above and if the problem comes from a wrong Sogo
server installation/configuration or a wrong iPhone configuration?

Thank you!

Re: [SOGo] Downgrade Thunderbird from 7.x to 3.1

2011-11-02 Thread Brendan Murtagh

Did you do a downgrade or a new install?

We uninstalled Thunderbird 7 and reinstalled TB 3.1.9, but we do not use a
program like Revo Uninstaller to do additional cleanup. This should preserve
the account settings, etc. and be automatically recognized when Thunderbird
launches again.

When it was a downgrade: did you see any problems?

We didn't see problems doing the downgrade, we needed to get the user back to TB
3.1.9. If we ran into anything severe, I assume our techs would have completely
uninstalled Thunderbird+Add-ons and started fresh. The email accounts are IMAP and
Cal/CardDAV are used to pull the calendar data address book from the server
so uninstalling client-side doesn't impact our user's.

immediately after starting and leaving a stale pid. I would also see the
following line in /var/log/messages:

When you updated with yum, you should have seen a message about SOGo.conf

General configuration of apache for SSL is somewhat out of the scope of

When SSLEngine is not recognized by apache, then this means you don't

[SOGo] sogo-tool with domain

2011-11-02 Thread Albert Shih
Hi all

I'm trying to making sogo-tool working with domain.

From a fresh install of sogo-1.3.9 I'm trying to make a bakcup using

sogo-tool backup /tmp/sogo ALL

and it's not really working with multi-domain.

I'got only one domain (I've got 3 domains) event I put

login@domain_name

at place of user I got some wrong backup, the ldif_record is not the good
one. (I've got three with same login account in the three domain).

And I don't get the calendar backup in any situation. I've check in the
postgresql database and the event of my test calendar is correct.

Regards.

Forget about the headache of using different ports in the Apache config and
then trying to use them in iOS or Mac OS X

btw: i think it would be a boon if the config below could be added to the
official documentation, you will find its original author by searching through
this list's archive (it has been improved by several sources)

Just point all of your iOS and Mac OS devices to use:

dav.yourdomain.com:443 (even the :443 is optional!!)

And just add this to your http.d config (remember to change yourdomain.com and
your_ip to the proper values):

VirtualHost your_ip:443
ServerName dav.yourdomain.com443

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^/principals/users/(.*)$ /proxy/$1 [PT]
ProxyPassInterpolateEnv On
ProxyPreserveHost On
ProxyPass /proxy http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/dav/ interpolate
ProxyPass /SOGo http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo interpolate
ProxyPass / http://127.0.0.1:2/SOGo/dav/ interpolate

  Order allow,deny
  Allow from all
/Proxy
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^/SOGo/(.*)$ /SOGo/$1 [env=REMOTE_HOST:%{REMOTE_ADDR},PT]
/VirtualHost

i hope this helps,
Peter
