[SOGo] Debian Jessie i386 builds missing by mistake or intentionally ?
I know it might be a strange thing nowadays to run any server using i386 builds, but nevertheless we do so for legacy reasons - Now I cannot update sogo 2 from the debian/jessie repos anymore: Due to this error: W: Failed to fetch http://inverse.ca/debian/dists/jessie/InRelease Unable to find expected entry 'jessie/binary-i386/Packages' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file) Is it just your decision not to build i386 packages for debian/jessie anymore? Or did this happen by mistake? BTW: building and offering sogo for arm - cpu's seems like a good idea to me as well - this would allow running it as personal Groupware on a NAS like QNAP or Synology as well .. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Re: [SOGo] Any proven methods for getting all the exchange emails moved to sogo.
As you've been reading before - imapsync will do the trick - actually it works very well with exchange. At times you'll have to take care of transcribing IMAP message flags (e.g. answered, read,unread,junk,non-junk) to those understood by your target server or you'll loose them or seemingly can't sync the objects ... This howto intended for scalix might give you an idea: http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?title=HowTos/Advanced_imapsync Cheers Andreas Am 08/07/12 04:37, schrieb Chris Mackle: I'm running around trying to find some reasonable ways of shifting all these emails into the new mail server. The easiest one, would be to drag and drop from the exchange account in outlook to the new sogo account in outlook, however when I do that it comes up in the sogo INBOX as an email from so...@example.com unless someone knows of something that gets around that are there any other methods people have tried? No comment? Nobody else with this problem in sogo 2? This suddenly appeared while in the beginning it worked flawlessly here. When I initially create an event in the calendar web-UI - the event time is stored and displayed eith an offset of 4(!) hours. E.g. When I create an event in any other client it works as expected but is displayed with offset in the webUI. What did I miss here ?? Can't find anything wrong or IN .GNUStepDefaults I configured the local Timezone (same as Client) keySOGoTimeZone/key stringEurope/Zurich/string The user himself configured his timezone as Europe/Zurich as well in SOGo's web-UI preferences. They differ in the Web-UI and other Clients (TB+Lightning+SOGO Integrator, EMCLient, Android-Calendar via CalDAV). When I initially create an event in the calendar web-UI - the event time is stored and displayed eith an offset of 4(!) hours. E.g. Create it with 9:00-10:00 - initally at creation it will be stored and displayed as 5:00-6:00 in WEB-UI (-4 hours off) and with -2 hours offset in any CalDAV-Client (Android/TB) - After initial creation I open it agaoin in WEB UI, change the time back to 9:00-10:00 and save the event again then it is displayed in the Web-UI as 7:00-8:00 (-2 hours offset) and will be displayed correctly in other clients. What's wrong so far? Or is there still an unresolved bug I did not see? Or is my setup wrong ?? Cheers Andreas smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Kryptografische Unterschrift

Hey Dominique: Log in and go to Preferences - Email - What you see there in the field at the bottom named Filter are sieve rules nothing else manageable by the user even with an assisant. What else would you expect ?? Free-Style manual sieve rules probably won't be of too much help to that many people ;-) Cheers Andreas Am 25.07.2012 13:06, schrieb Dominique: Hi We run a Cyrus/Sieve Server with SOGo. Could a new admin page be created to manage sieve (when available in the server as per the .GNUstepDefaults file) through the SOGo webgui to allow users to maintain their rules by themselves ? It seems that Sieve is already somewhat supported by SOGo. Why not finish the integration and offer to use either one or the other option or both? Re: [SOGo] SOGO and virtualmin on VPS
Hey Chris, you dont have to worry about that - SOGo wont touch any of your existing configurations - it interfaces using IMAP and Sieve only with your mailboxes. Actually we have a setup using Vimbadmin as well as ISPConfig3 (instead of virtualmin) that work very well - we just created the table sogo_users as a view in the sogo database for users authentication using MySQL that gets its data directly from the postfix tables - and yourre basically done with this imagine something like this: CREATE VIEW `sogo`.`sogo_users` AS select `mailadmin`.`mailbox`.`username` AS `c_uid`, `mailadmin`.`mailbox`.`username` AS `c_name`, `mailadmin`.`mailbox`.`password` AS `c_password`, `mailadmin`.`mailbox`.`name` AS `c_cn`,concat(`mailadmin`.`mailbox`.`local_part`,@,`mailadmin`.`mailbox`.`domain`) AS `mail`, `mailadmin`.`mailbox`.`domain` AS `DomainFieldName` from `mailadmin`.`mailbox`; This works very well for us ... A security problem in such an environment would be for you that everybody will be able to see all other defined mailboxes (adresses only not contents) from that database when they have a look at the SOGO UI dialogues to delegate permissions or invite attendees for a meeting etc. We managed to separate the domains (not to be confused with internet domains) of the various customers by adding the last one as DomainFieldName to the view. The resulting domains have to be created and defined in the .GNUstepDefaults before and sogo restarted so it does not (yet) work entirely dynamic from the Database ... [SOGo] password hashes w crypt-md5 + salt in (My)SQL db in sogo 2.0?
Oncew more trying to integrate SOGo with ISPConfig 3 managed accounts and mailboxes. Ive found various mails regarding the support of crypt-md5 password hashes in SQL databases (as used by ISPConfig 3 for mail users) so what is the current status of crypt-md with SQLdbs in sogo 2.0 ? Did anybody figure out how to automate a synchronisation or configure sogo to use an SQL-View directly with the database from ISPConfig 3 to authenticate users? How may we authenticate users against that DB? cheers Andreas Balg

Seems as if you'd be right - If I send it using Firefox (12) It gets corrupted - using IE (9) It gets attached correctly and remains readable for the recipient. Why the heck does Firefox change the contents of an attachment uploaded? If it were only the mime-type that it does not know about it should be possible to save the file to disk and open it from there isn't it? But even after saving the file to disk it does not open. Is there any known config or setting in Firefox that might affect this behaviour? Re: [SOGo] SOGo nightly Build destroys attachments [SOLVED!]
Funny thing - Thank you for the fast and competent help: I was able to Fix it: In Firefox in Preferences = Applications You can assign the default actions for mime-types Typing pdf in the search field resulted in 3(!) different results for this filetype: application/pdf binary/octet-stream text/html As it is not possible to delete an entry in this dialog I googled a little: The mime-types known to firefox are kept in the users profile folder in an XML-file named mimeTypes.rdf I removed the respective XML container with the text/html tpye for PDF and restarted Firefox Now everything works as expected ; That was a real quick fix -- thanks Wolfgang Cheers Andreas Am 13.04.2012 17:54, schrieb Wolfgang Sourdeau: Le 12-04-13 11:48, Andreas Balg a écrit : Seems as if you'd be right - If I send it using Firefox (12) It gets corrupted - using IE (9) It gets attached correctly and remains readable for the recipient.
