Re: [SOGo] Problem with calendar invitation

2016-09-28 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi,

Some news for this bug.

With the webmail (SOGo 3.1.4 and 3.1.5), we don't have the problem.

With Thunderbird 38.7.0 and 45.3.0 on SOGo 3.1.4, we have the problem...

The bug can be in the SOGO Connector, Integrator or Lightning ? How can I
help to find more information ?

Thanks

[SOGo] Apt-get upgrade after SOGo compilation

2016-09-26 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi,

We compiled SOGo and SOPE on Debian Jessie. Everything works fine except
the following point.

When we do an "apt-get upgrade", we have always this error:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 sogo : Depends: libsbjson2.3 (>= 4.9.r1664.20160708) but 4.9.r1664 is
installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.

If we do an "apt-get -f install", it wants to uninstall SOGo...

Do you have an idea to remove this warning ?

Thanks,

[SOGo] Problem with calendar invitation

2016-09-21 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi,

We have trouble with some invitations.

UserA has full access to UserB's Calendar for public events.

When UserA send invitation to participants, when they answer to UserA, the
message could not be delivered:

<"mailto:UserA"@company.com <wilhelmine.djui...@rmaaq.gouv.qc.ca>>: host
10.X.Y.Z[10.X.Y.Z]
said: 550 5.1.1 <mailto:us...@company.com
<wilhelmine.djui...@rmaaq.gouv.qc.ca>>: Recipient
address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table (in reply to RCPT
TO command)

Note the "mailto:; string and the quote in the email !

All other invitation works perfectly...

We use SOGo 3.1.4 on Debian and it's done with Thunderbird 38.7.0.

Any idea ?

[SOGo] email tag problem

2016-06-13 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi,

I search to know how email tags work... I want to find a solution to a
problem. I don't know if it is a SOGo, Thunderbird or Cyrus related bug...

User sets tags "To Do" or "Important" in Thunderbird. He saw tags in SOGo
webmail.
But sometimes, tags disappear, all the tags in his mailbox... And I don't
know why...

The first time the problem happens, I tought it was the upgrade to
Thunderbird 38.7.

We use SOGo 3.1.2 on Debian server with Cyrus (version 2.4.17) and
Thunderbird 38.7.0.

Any hints ?

[SOGo] Alarm on iPhone problem (SOGo 3.0.2)

2016-04-26 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi,

My users have problems with reminders/alarm on iPhone 5s with SOGo 3.0.2.
The iPhone are new for us.

They have a lot of subscriptions (other user on the same SOGo server ) for
calendar. On the iPhone, they see all the reminders of all calendar
subscriptions.

On the webmail and Thunderbird, they don't have this problem.

There is a setup on the iPhone to show only reminder on personnal calendar ?

Unfortunately, I don't have a iPhone for tests and learning how it works ...

Thanks !

is a way with sogo-tool to delete duplicate events ?

Fwd: [SOGo] Fwd: Your help is needed regarding version 38 issues

2015-12-08 Thread Louis-Philippe
B above.
10b) In Tools | Error Console, please find any lines of errors about
updating Thunderbird or addons. Screen shot or copy the text to a

11) If you restart Thunderbird, it should update to Lightning 4.0.3.1
which will resolve the UI issues.
12) Turn automatic updates back on at your convenience.

** If you have a broken Thunderbird or Lightning send the zip files to

Problem 3

You have not yet updated to 38.3.0 and you have calendar addon ENABLED.
Let's assume you might encounter a problem during update. Before you
update let's change some settings and capture information in case you do
encounter a problem.

1) Use "Config Editor" found at Options | Advanced | General and paste
in the name extensions.logging.enabled - set it to true (double click
the preference to change value to true)
2) In addons manager manually do "Check for Updates". If you are using
Thunderbird 38.2.0 you should have Lightning to 4.0.2.1. If necessary,
restart and have that update apply.
3) Zip the "pre update" data as described in section B above and save them.
4) Check for application updates in the About box (aka Help | About),
which will download and install 38.3.0. Restart for that to apply.
5) Now is when you may see unresponsive buttons/menu, or missing
Thunderbird UI or folder lists as described at
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1211291 If you do NOT see
problems skip to step 9.
6a) Zip up the data described in section B above and save as "post
update" data.
6b) In Tools | Error Console, please find any lines of errors about
updating Thunderbird or addons. Screen shot or copy the text to a
document, and zip for the developer.
7) Check the add-on manager, verify that Lightning 4.0.3 is installed.
8) If you restart Thunderbird, it should update to Lightning 4.0.3.1
which will resolve the UI issues
9) Turn automatic updates back on

** If you have a broken Thunderbird or Lightning send the zip and other
files to the developer mozi...@kewis.ch.

Re: [SOGo] calendar subscription problem after migration

Hi,

It works for colors... For the calendar, I have all "%{FolderName}
(%{UserName} <%{Email}>)" ... But, for the tests, I didn't restore other
user's calendar, so I think it's normal... I'll make other tests soon...

There is a option to restore all users in the restore folder?
I use this command :
sogo-tool restore -F ALL /folder1/sogo-restore username

I have only 60 users ... but someone with 2 users can't do this 2
times... ;-)

Re: [SOGo] UTC time in sogo.log

2015-02-26 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi,
I forget to mention, it's a fresh install, but, at the begining, I
discovered that SOGo 1.3.16 is in the official Debian (wheezy) repository.
I installed this version, but I didn't configure it. I remove it and
install 2.2.16. This error can broke something ?

In the documentation (
http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf) on page 10,
I can read If SOGo refuses to start due to syntax errors in its
configuration file, plparse is helpful for finding these, as it indicates
the line containing the problem.

So, I removed a semicolon in the file. I ran plparse an I get an error. I
restart SOGo (with the erronous conf file) and it restart !

Why ?

I too had problems of this kind, before doing so.
That was, because the old GNUstep defaults were still in effect.
You can check this with sogo-tool.
 /usr/sbin/sogo-tool dump-defaults

This should deliver an empty configuration.
If not, that is your problem.

[SOGo] UTC time in sogo.log

2015-02-18 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi,

I have a problem on a new Sogo installation (Debian Wheezy amd64) (not an
update):

In sogo.log, all time are UTC instead of local time. We are UTC -0500 and I
have in /etc/sogo/sogo.conf: SOGoTimeZone = America/Montreal;
Why ? I made a dpkg-reconfigure tzdata and timezone is well configured.
Did I miss something ?

Thanks for your help !

Re: [SOGo] 'Reset Calendar Cache' doesn't work

2015-01-20 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi

2015-01-20 7:39 GMT-05:00 Charles Marcus cmar...@media-brokers.com:

 Hello all,

I have noticed a problem where a users Calendars stop syncing. They
'seem' to be working - ie, you can see old events etc, but new ones
don't show up, and changes made by others don't show up.

Normally I would reset the calendar cache, but in these new instances,
right-clicking on a Calendar and clicking 'Reset Calendar Cache' doesn't
seem to do anything. From the few times I've used it successfully in the
past, it should cause Thunderbird to restart and - supposedly - reset
 the calendar cache.

But for the 5th time now in the last month, I've tried to do this on
one of our users PCs, and it just doesn't do anything, Thunderbird never
restarts, etc, and when this happens I've had to recreate the users
 profile to fix it.

 Thunderbird 31.1 or 31.3
 Lightning 3.3.1
 Connector/Integrator 24.0.5

Why Thunderbird 31 with Connector/Integrator 24? Is it a typo ? Normally,
you should have the same version ...

Hi,

I made a second SOGoUserSources in my config file for the group as
mentionned in documentation p. 19-20. Now, I don't have any error in log

But I can't see members...

The documentation mentions group in the field KindFieldName. Is it
related ?

Many thanks for your help!

[SOGo] Cyrus lag ?

2014-04-14 Thread Louis-Philippe
Hi,

We have a new server for Cyrus and we update from Debian Lenny to Debian
Wheezy (on a Xen VM). I know that it's not a SOGo problem but it affects
SOGo.

We noticed with Nagios a lag on authentication on Cyrus (with LDAP).

/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_imap -p 993 -H 10.10.XXX.XXX -S
IMAP OK - *5.078 second response time on port 993* [* OK [CAPABILITY
IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ ID ENABLE AUTH=PLAIN SASL-IR] server
ready]|time=5.078493s;;;0.00;10.00

If we make a new test immediately after (within 4-5 seconds), we have a
0,04 second response time.

We make the same test with our Lenny server and we always have a 0,05
second response time

Is there any configuration to change somewhere ? any hint or log to watch?

Not really. we have an application to change password in LDAP.

Thunderbird detects that the registered password isn't correct, so it asks

If the user type the new password 3-4 times, everything is ok.

The problem is when he makes a mistake in his password, the simplest
solution I found, is to close Thunderbird and restart it. I can select try

[SOGo] wrong password (Thunderbird)

Hi,

In Thunderbird, with SOGo connector and Integrator, I have a lot of problem
when a user type a wrong password.

First, we have a lot a password's windows without any difference (
http://sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=2337)

If a user make a mistake with a password, we have a window with 3 choices:

Authentification failed
retry, try with a new password, cancel

(I have a French version, it maybe not the good words)

I tried the three choices and it doesn't work ...

I'm testing it with Thunderbird 17, Sogo connector and Sogo Integrator
17.0.5.

It's the same think with Thunderbird 10 ...

The problem appear because we force our users to change their passwords.

What can I do ? Fill a new bug report ?

Hi mayak-cq,

What do you mean with mobile connector ?

There are 4 protocols supported by SOGo and its extensions:
 DAV (CardDAV, CalDAV) SOGo
SyncML SOGo + Funambol-Connector for SOGo + Funambol
ActiveSync SOGo + successor of sogosync (sorry forgot its name)
MAPISOGo + SOGo Openchange Connector + Openchange

Which Protocol does your Blackberry support?

[SOGo] Sieve filter problem

2013-03-07 Thread Louis-Philippe Gauthier
Hi,

I installed SOGo on a Debian 6.0 (Squeeze) with Cyrus.

I create a folder for testing and I set a filter accordingly. In
mail.log, I can see Mailbox doesn't exists.
Mar 3 20:56:34 svr001 cyrus/lmtpunix[31475]: sieve runtime error for
myusername id cabhyskzdrzfkm_csnhx...@mail.domain.com: Fileinto:
Mailbox does not exist

When I set a filter in SOGo, I create a folder. I have only a
INBOX/myfolder. But I have INBOX.Drafts and INBOX/Drafts.

So, I test with my folder INBOX.Drafts and filter works pretty well.

In cyradm, I see INBOX.myfolder.

Whats wrong ? Why I see folder with a / and . as separator ? But
not my new folder ?

oh, by the way, I set the NGImap4ConnectionStringSeparator to . ...

Thanks!

[SOGo] Thunderbird 10 to 17 ( upgrade )

Hi,

We plan to move to Thunderbird 17 with Lightning 1.9 and SOGo extensions.

I saw this bug on Lightning :

Without the release of Lightning 1.9.1, we can't use Lightning with SOGo ?

Do you know when this version will be release? There is a roadmap somewhere
?

( I don't want to use patches in a production environment).

Hi,

In calendar properties in the SOGo webmail, you have the option
Synchronisation with a tag string to identify the calendar.

You must do it for each calendar you want to syncrhonize.

It is checked by default for the personal calendar.

I hope that help you!

Hello I am trying to sync multiple calendars to an Android application,
but this requires multiple server paths.

Using http://domain/funambol/ds as instructed, but this sync only the
primary calendar. Is it possible to access the others?

 Thank you,

Hi,

By default, Funambol doesn't save data in MySQL or PostGreSQL. I don't
remember the database name... You must configure Funambol to save data in
Mysql. It's a little chapter at the end in Funambol's doc ... ;-)

2012/12/28 Kenny B tallk...@hotmail.com

I can't get the Blackberry client for Sogo to work, have downloaded the
OneMediaHub one from App World, installed nd synced. I get a sync
successful message, it says how many contacts etc synced successfully, but
the data doesnt show up in Sogo at all.

I've also tried the Funambol Communitty Edition 3.0.8 and the Nexthaus
 SyncJE clients with no joy.

Also can't get my Playbook to connect either using CalDav . . .

I also can't get Outlook to connect to Sogo either.

Currently testing with the ZEG download in VirtualBox.

Re: [SOGo] meeting request/invitation

2012-10-16 Thread Louis-Philippe Gauthier
Any answer or hint?

We have the same problem with BlackBerry 9900 (BBos 7.0) and SOGo 2.0.1
(with Postfix)

2012/9/13 p.galea...@abanet.it

I did some searching on the archive without any success so I ask this
 question.
 SOGo 1.3.18 - Postfix 2.7.1 - Blackberry client (9300 or 9800) - IPAD 2
When inviting participants to events, either from TB or from WEB
 interface, it
 happens that:
 - if the participant has a BB and his account is on a Postfix/dovecot mail
server, he receives the invitation with empty body and unopenable
 attachment;
of course he can't take any action (the attachment is named
 application/X-rimdevicecalendar)
 - if the participant has a BB and his account is on an exchange server, he
receives the invitation as a mail with unopenable attachment BUT the full
 event
description in the body; still, he can't take any action.
 - if the participant has an IPAD the mail client receives the invitation
 and
everythng is fine (including put it in the local calendar) except for he
 can't
take any action (can't see any way to react (accept, declien, ecc.) toward
 the
meeting organizer (the attachment is named mime-attachment.ics)
 - if the participant uses Outlook he cand do anything, but in order to
 answer
to the invitation he has to open the .ics mail attachment

Am i missing some basic configuration actions (in SOGo, Postfix, dovecot),
 or
are there some compatibility issues ?
Hope somebody can anwser or point out some previous answers in this regards
 Many thanks

The last one will allow us to move our ACL code directly in the SOGo

That being said, those 3 bugs should be fixed for Lightning 1.0. You should
all vote on the bugs so the patches finally get included.

Lightning 1.0 will most likely require Thunderbird 7. If that's the case,
 that's the version we'll support after 3.1.

what for trouble exactly?

exemple :
-
Hi,
blank line
I'm in vacation .
blank line
I will answer you ..
-

I can edit the first and last line only ... I must select all the text
(CTRL-A) and delete it. Then, I must type my new text.
Another way, if I place my cursor at the begining of the last line (I
will...) and press Backspace twice, I delete the blank line and then,
I can edit my text .

If I am on the first line of my text and hit the down arrow, my cursor
goes at the end of the last line. It's like my text and the blank lines
doesn't exist ...

I hope this help you ... I test it on four computers, with Firefox 6.0
or Firefox 6.0.1. With IE 8, everything works fine. :-/

thanks !

No, and why should they?

But you can get read only access to calenders of other people.
Perhaps that's what you meant?

[SOGo] calendar ACL problem ?

Hi,

I have a little problem or question.
I subscribe to a resource calendar. I set a meeting with this resource. It
works fine.

In the calendar (with the SOGo web mail), I see Public Event. But in
ThunderBird I can see the object of the meeting.

It's not normal that I don't see the same thing in webmail and Thunderbird.

I check my config file and I see in SOGoCalendarDefaultRoles
PublicDandTViewer.

Have you run the DB update script ?

Yes, I ran it.
Is it normal that I have to chmod the file
sql-update-1.3.3_to_1.3.4-mysql.sh in /usr/share/doc/sogo before
executing the script ?
It was to rw-r-r mode... The column c_categories doesn't exist... So the
script didn't run when I update from 1.3.3 to 1.3.4 few months ago...

Have you made sure all sogo instances where properly shut down ?

Clear cache in webbrowser ?

It was the proxy the problem. I forgot to bypass it with my new computer...

[SOGo] calendar problem ?

2011-05-13 Thread Louis-Philippe Gauthier
Hi,

I add an event with attendees in my personnal calendar. The attendees accept
invitation. If I change the event from my personnal calendar to another

  Hi,

I got the user connection working now with a Nokia N97. Errors in the jdbc
connector and no mapping in the NAT for port 2. Synchronization now goes
 on without error.

Except that no data is actually transfered. From the phone perspectice, a
few hundreds contacts are transfered from the phone (as per the counter that
changes on the phone screen) to Sogo, except that no records shows up in
Sogo Address book. Same is true for the calendar and todo list.

 Any ideas ?

PS: Actually, I got it working nicely with Thunderbird although it was not
 the principal objective.

I am not sure if Thunderbird is supposed to work with Funambol.

You can either try with a mobile client or MS Outlook, according to your
 available resources.
Regarding users/fqdn, in a funambol client (mobile/outlook) you will set
the url of your sogo server ( and the remote name of the sources - sogo-cal
etc. ) and that's it. SOGoOfficer will pick up user credentials from the db.

2011/3/17 Jim Hague jim.ha...@acm.org

I've installed SOGo on a Debian Squeeze host, via apt from the Inverse
repository. I'm up to date, at 1.3.5a.

I have configured SOGo to use our LDAP server, and thus far most things
 seem
 to be working fine.

However, on the calendar, when I invite attendees known to SOGo, I never
 see
their free/busy information. Or rather, they are presented as invariably
 free,
 in both web and Lightning.

I've checked this against the 1.3.5 ZEG and I see exactly the same thing.
Here's what I did in the ZEG:

 1. Log in as sogo1. Create an event for tomorrow from 12:45-13:45. Log out.
 2. Log in as sogo2. Create an event for tomorrow from 12:45-16:45. Save.
 3. Open event and click 'Invite Attendees'. I see my current user, sogo2,
is invited, and marked as busy between 12:45 and 16:45.
 4. Click 'Add attendee', and enter 'John Doe', which is filled in as sogo1
as expected. Hit Return to confirm address, and his free/busy info
is displayed as completely free. I expected to see 12:45-13:45 blocked
   in blue as busy.

Both sogo1 and sogo2 Personal Calendars have 'Include in free/busy'
 checked.

Am I completely misunderstanding something, or is this just broken at the
 moment?

[SOGo] blackberry and SOGo

2011-01-26 Thread Louis-Philippe Gauthier
 Hi,

Funambol doesn't talk to SOGo. Why ?

My BlackBerry sync with Funambol. We change Hypersonic to Mysql backend. I
see contacts and events in the database. I installed the Funambol SOGo
Connector and made the syncSources (sogo-card, sogo-cal, sogo-todo) (see
documentation p.34 - Installation and configuration Guide, version 1.3.4).
On the Blackberry, in the funambol client, I changed the remote name to
sogo-card, sogo-cal, sogo-todo.

Since I deleted the FunambolFoundationConnector in FunambolAdmin, the
synchronisation doesn't work anymore. Must I delete the syncsource from
