[SOGo] ActiveSync on Android suddenly not getting mail
Hello. I'm running SOGo 2.4.x and suddenly yesterday my Android phone stopped getting E-mail messages via the ActiveSync connection with SOGo. The problem started when I was repeatedly trying to use the search feature to find old messages. Suddenly it wasn't finding _any_ messages (even though I know for a fact there were some in the last 30 days with the search term) and now it's not getting new messages at all, and if I try to open a message it previously received, the phone displays "Can't open message" then the message disappears from the list as if I deleted it! Checking via the SOGo Web interface shows all of the messages and I can open them fine there. I don't see anything amiss in the SOGo logs either, other than the occasional "LOG: could not receive data from client: Connection reset by peer" from PostgreSQL. Where else should I look to see where the problem is? Is there a way to reindex SOGo's database of mail ActiveSync sees or something? Thank you! Sincerely, Sean M. [SOGo] Spontaneous duplicate tasks with ActiveSync
Hello. I'm running SOGo 2 because I like the Thunderbird-like Web interface and am having a big problem with usually recurring tasks creating duplicates of themselves each time the event is supposed to occur. They were originally created in Thunderbird using its built-in remote calendar support (CalDAV) which worked fine when it was the only client I was using, and the problem started when I set up a new Android phone to sync data with SOGo via ActiveSync. The AS client showed a bunch of old recurring task instances going back two years, even though I had checked them off as "done" in Thunderbird a long time ago, so I dutifully checked them all off as "done" on the AS client. Once I did that, Thunderbird then began displaying multiple entries for the same task and slowing to a crawl as it tried to display reminders for all of them. Since it became unusable, I disabled the calendar in Thunderbird. Even after that, the AS client is still showing new duplicate entries for random tasks. I tried deleting all but one of each duplicate in the Web interface but the problem continues to show up again on its own after I do that. For example, a couple of non-recurring tasks show only one instance in the Web interface but two on the AS client all of a sudden. What is the best way to proceed to fix this? The calendar currently remains unusable in Thunderbird via CalDAV due to slowing TB to a crawl. Point of note: unfortunately due to how the phone's software is designed, the only way I can sync tasks is via ActiveSync. (Otherwise I would have preferred straight CalDAV & CardDAV since AS has been problematic for me in the past as well.) Sincerely, Sean M. Re: [SOGo] password change with samba4 AD
What version of Samba? Do you run Samba from Debian packages? I do (v4.2) and have found that there is a problem with users changing their passwords in general even from Windows clients. I think it has to do with the increased default security settings Samba 4.2 now uses, outlined here: https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-samba/samba.git/commit/?h=stable-update=cbcad2a543a28926ee712cf299dbdc03da351cb0 Have you tried having a user change their password from a Windows machine? Re: [SOGo] ActiveSync on Samsung phone not working properly
Hello again. Thanks to Thomas Fuehrer's extensive help, SOGo 2.2.17a works with my Samsung phone running RoadSync 3.0. We hadn't tested E-mail sync extensively though and I found that if I delete an E-mail message on the phone, the next E-mail sync never completes and the phone chews up mobile data (if not connected to WiFi) until you stop it. (sogo.log just shows things like: Apr 02 15:50:30 sogod [3352]: 0x0x7f6b3117e910[SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher] Change detected, we push the content. Un-marking a message as deleted allows the sync to finish and quickly. Any ideas as to why that might be happening? Sincerely, Sean M. [SOGo] ActiveSync on Samsung phone not working properly
Hello. I have SOGo 2.2.13 and am trying to sync my account with a new Samsung SGH-S390 phone which features Exchange Email that uses ActiveSync to get E-mail, Calendar items, contacts and tasks. (The user agent in the SOGo log shows as RoadSync/3.0.) My first problem is that the phone only gets changes from the server when something has also changed on the phone in that category. (E.g. if I add an event on the server, the phone will not update its calendar unless I first add or edit one on the phone too. Same for Tasks and Contacts.) Indeed, the SOGo log does not say any changes were detected unless I make one on the phone. This seems like a bug in SOGo, but is it? My second problem is that Tasks on the phone usually get erased whenever the phone syncs. They remain in SOGo though. Is this a bug in the phone? And the third problem is that the E-mail part of the Exchange sync never gets any E-mail. I can send messages from the phone but it never says there are any despite having it set to sync a day and having the size limit high enough that some should come in. Thank you everyone for any help you can provide! Sincerely, Sean M. [SOGo] Outlook 2013 ActiveSync - wrong IMAP user name
Hello. I'm trying to get Outlook 2013 working over ActiveSync. The IMAP server allows logging in with the E-mail address or the Kerberos user name (first.last in my case.) But when I try to use ActiveSync with either of those, it attempts to log in to IMAP with imaps://first%20l...@mail.example.com/ as seen in the SOGo log. Logging in to SOGo from the Web interface (using either Email address or user name thanks to my LDAP settings) accesses the E-mail just fine, so why is it not using the user name I specified in the ActiveSync setup wizard but the CN instead? [SOGo] OCSManager startup problems
Hello. In order to try to support Outlook, I installed OpenChange Server and all of its dependencies (to include Samba 4.0.1) on my SOGo machine from the Inverse repo. Re: [SOGo] SQL errors on funambol sync, what am i doing wrong?
Hello again. I just had a look at the source code for the Funambol connector and it looks like it just assumes that contacts are stored in the database; it has no provision for contacts stored in LDAP that I can see (and it doesn't even at least throw an exception when the Contacts record isn't found.) So it ends up leaving the contacts table name empty and the rest of the code doesn't check for a null value there, causing the multiple errors we see. John, do you also have contacts stored in LDAP? Your original message didn't say. Ludovic, would you please confirm if I'm correct or have just missed where LDAP sync happens? I'd be happy to help with code to get this working. Sincerely, Sean M. In addition, there is not a download for the SyncML client anymore (only the Email sync client.) I tried installing the JavaME E-mail client on one of my phones that doesn't support SyncML natively and it offers no options for contact sync.
