Any progress on this front?

I currently have the the problem that calendar sharing is read-only and
I get lots of error messages caching value for key with an additional
blank after the username. I think that may be related to the new domain
stuff, that I am not using...

But I saw no new version in the nightlies yet.

Does the mail domains of your users addresses match the domains used in your configuration file of
SOGo? If they do match, change them. For example, instead of using prodex.sk, use
prodex-sk. As long as you don't use the new SOGoLoginDomains setting, the domains keys

1.3.8. This is a minor release of SOGo which focuses on small new features and
improved stability over previous versions.

-= What is SOGo =-

SOGo is a free and modern scalable groupware server. It offers shared
calendars, address books and emails through your favorite Web browser or by
using a native client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning.

SOGo is standard-compliant and supports CalDAV, CardDAV, GroupDAV and reuses
existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers - making the solution easy to deploy
and interoperable with many applications.

SOGo features :

users
  • Rich Web-based interface that shares the look and feel, the features and
the data of Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning
  • Improved integration with Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning by using the
SOGo Connector and the SOGo Integrator
  • Two-way synchronization support with any SyncML-capable devices
(BlackBerry, Palm, Windows CE, etc.) by using the Funambol SOGo Connector
  • Excellent integration with Apple iCal 3/4 and Apple iPhone OS 3/4

and many more! SOGo and our connectors are completely free.

  • sogo-tool: new rename-user command that automatically updates all the
references in the database after modifying a user id
  • sogo-tool: new user-preferences {get,set,unset} command to manipulate
user's defaults/settings.
  • groups support for IMAP ACLs
  • now possible to define multiple forwarding addresses
  • now possible to define to-the-minute events/tasks
  • the domain can be selected from the login page when using multiple domains
(SOGoLoginDomains)
  • sources from one domain can be accessed from another domain when using
multiple domains (SOGoDomainsVisibility)
  • added Icelandic translation - thanks to Anna Jonna Armannsdottir

Enhancements

  • improved list selection and contextual menu behavior in all web modules
  • the quota status bar is now updated more frequently in the webmail module
  • automatically create new cards when populating a list of contacts with
unknown entries
  • added fade effect when displaying and hiding dialog boxes in Web interface

  • fixed time shift issue when editing an event title on iOS
  • fixed bug when using indirect LDAP binds and bindAsCurrentUser
  • fixed bugs when converting an event to an all-day one
  • many small fixes related to CalDAV scheduling
  • many OpenBSD-related fixes

Only if your authentication sources use a mail attribute as the UIDFieldName.
Otherwise, there's no need to change your domain keys.

Furthermore, I've already committed a change that will avoid any side effect of
the new multi-domains settings when SOGoLoginDomains is not defined. So this
constraint will go away in the next release (and is already gone in the nightly
builds).

For everyone's information: The main advantage of defining SOGoLoginDomains is
that values of UIDFieldName don't have to be unique among all domains anymore
but only within the same domain since users will now be identified as
UIDFieldName@domainKey. This identifier will show up in the URL and in the data
tables.

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.8

2011-07-17 Thread Stuart Sheldon
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA256

I ran the update last night, and have not seen any problems with logins
or calendar ACLs.

I am running with about 20 unique domain configurations.

All domain array keys match their respective SOGoMailDomain keys, and
they are the valid domain name for that domain.

I have not attempted (nor currently plan) to implement the two new
global domain settings.

Should I adjust our configuration to accommodate any future conflicts,
such as modifying our domain array keys to not match their respective
SOGoMailDomain keys, in order to avoid future upgrade issues?

Thanks in advance,

Stu

Hi,

I can confirm that. It's necessary to clear the cached content of SOGo. Ctrl +

references in the database after modifying a user id

Re: [SOGo] ANN: SOGo v1.3.8

2011-07-15 Thread Dennis Petschull
Hi Francis,

I have similar problems after upgrading to v1.3.8. After changing the
domain keys in the .GNUstepDefaults, I can now log-in again. All
previously subscribed calendars and addressbooks are there. But I cannot
subscribe to any new calendar or addressbook. Even if I click subscribe
user to this calendar in the ACL preferences window, it does not.

In the sogo log I can see lines like:
POST /SOGo/so/t...@two4.it@two4-it/foldersSearch?type=calendar HTTP/1.1
200 0/0 0.037 - - 0
where two4.it is the mail-domain and two4-it is the domain key entry
which I changed in the config. I tested this URL without the appended
domain key, and this seems to work.

So apparently, changing the domain-key (as you suggested) solves the
login-problem but raises a problem of calendar and addressbook sharing.

Anything other suggestions?

Cheers,
Dennis
