[xwiki-users] Removing comments, attachments, etc from certain pages

2009-03-28 Thread Josh D

Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to remove the comments, attachments, history
and information tabs from certain pages. Perhaps just by inserting some css or
javascript on the pages where I don't want these things to show.
Also, I was hoping to reduce the font size of the "Create New Post" text in the
blog (I'm using the toucan skin if that helps). Which file would I look in do
to this?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Josh

Note that there's a parameter for setting the default to be XWiki 2.0
syntax for all new pages,
see
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Configuration#HConfiguringWikiSyntaxesanddefaultSyntax

Does this parameter also work for XWiki Enterprise 1.7.2.16857 because i
thought its new in XW 1.8?

This is a bug in the old WYSIWYG-Editor (syntax 1.0). I had some discussion
reffering to this topic here:

http://n2.nabble.com/Syntax-problem-1.0--%3E-2.0-tt2430693.html#a2430693

and here:

Re: [xwiki-users] Problem with the new blog application running on XWiki 1.1.1

2009-03-28 Thread Antonio Goncalves
Ok, thanks Vincent. But the problem is that I've tried to install the new
Blog app on my own personal website (www.antoniogoncalves.org) which is
hosted in a much older XWiki farm (1.1.1).

AFAIK there's no "xwiki.rendering.syntax" parameter, but:

#-# [Since 1.6RC1] Defines the list of supported syntaxes
#-# Available syntaxes are:
#-#xwiki/1.0, xwiki/2.0, confluence/1.0, jspwiki/1.0, creole/1.0,
mediawiki/1.0, twiki/1.0, xhtml/1.0, html/4.01
xwiki.rendering.syntaxes = xwiki/1.0, xwiki/2.0

This parameter controls the list of syntaxes that appear in the Page
Syntax combo box on the Document Information panel. You have to change
the syntax for each page you create if you want it to be in XWiki 2.0,
and from the wiki editor because otherwise the Page Syntax combo box is
disabled.

I doubt it.

The new editor generates the proper heading syntax. You just have to
change the page syntax to XWiki 2.0 from the wiki editor. If you don't
have the XWiki 2.0 syntax in the Page Syntax combo box then make sure
you have it in xwiki.cfg:

xwiki.rendering.syntaxes = xwiki/1.0, xwiki/2.0

Hope this helps,
Marius
