[xwiki-users] Problem with broken link in header sections

2010-03-18 Thread ccoreggioli

Hello,

i found a problem when in a header section there is a broken link.

for example, in wiki editor mode i have:

= SOME TITLE [[Some Broken Link]] =

if i click Preview button the page is shown correctly. Changing the editor
to WYSIWYG mode, when i click Preview button the following error appear:

content: Exception while parsing HTML

and the page won't show but it stands in editor mode. Tried with IE7, FF
3.5.8, Chrome and Safari.

I see this content http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-4536 classified
as bug and closed, but there were no fixes.

Any workaround?

Hello Jerome,

thanks for answer.

Now we have 2.2.M1 version running. The name of class is XWiki.SLMClass and
template name is  XWiki.SLMTemplate.
We will upgrade to 2.2.2 soon, then I will try livetable again and I will
write you if problem persist.

 I'm curious about your need of xwiki text in a context that doesn't include

 I have installed xEclipse on my PC, but yet I cannot find the way to import

 The core functionality of XEclipse is to edit the pages of a XWiki server,
 both only and offline. AFAIK Word documents conversion is not possible in
 XEclipse.
 I think the closest application that fits your needs is XOO. The project is
 in a alpha stage, it uses the OOo converter and contains an offline xwiki
 renderer, though I don't think that offline conversion is implemented in the
 interface as a user friendly feature.

Re: [xwiki-users] Xwiki integration with SMS

2010-03-18 Thread Jeremie BOUSQUET
Hi,

I think biggest issue will be to have someone to send the SMSs to (SMSC or
SME). If you have such connection sending SMS Text should not be a big
issue. In your case I believe you will have to take care of the encoding of
special characters (7bit alphabet or UTF-16, but with only 70 characters/sms
in this case).
For the tools I don't know as we use internal ones ;)

[xwiki-users] PDF Export, includechilds and toc issues

2010-03-18 Thread Jeremie BOUSQUET
Hi,

Some little issues I think I found on PDF Export (XE 2.2.1/MySQL5):

- if using includechilds=n, and if child pages refer to parent as
xwiki:Space.Page (which seems to be default now), they are not included.
To get included, I had to change parent value in child to Space.Page only

- Table Of Content chapter in generated PDF does not work very well when
there are included pages. If headings levels are similar in child and
parent, then TOC contains only child headings. So I renumbered child
headings depending on where they would be inserted, and now TOC is empty.
Tested with 1 page and 1 child, but really not exhaustive

I can create JIRAs if you believe these are bugs,

Re: [xwiki-users] Registration

2010-03-18 Thread stefan bachert
Hi Caleb,

I do not understand why the view is not allowed.
XWiki.Preference is/was explicitly allowed for view of XWikiAllGroup.

I checked the Registration document and detected, that there is a createUser
call. I found out, that there is an overload version of this call allowing to
specify initial rights.
I changed that but it does not work at the first time because the Registration
document was not accessable for new users, and somehow a fallback version was
used.
However, after changing rights I configured successfully my XWiki to set view
and edit for new registered users.

Thank you for the tip

I don't think the view access is denied by default, maybe you disabled access
to XWikiAllGroup for
viewing the XWiki space?

If you want to do specific things to each user after they are registered and it
is acceptable to save
the registration page with programming access, you can add an attribute to one
of the fields called
doAfterRegistration. I think the registration page has an example of this in
the favorite color field
which is commented out and for example purposes. You need not worry which field
you attach the attribute
to since doAfterRegistration is generic in nature. You do however have to use
saveWithProgrammingRights
because the save function only saves if the viewer has access to edit the page
(they don't because they are
not logged in yet.)

You may try invoking the include macro to see if you are able to execute a
special page with programming
rights while the registration page does not have them (I'm not sure if this is
possible anymore)

 In my xwiki a newly registered user has the right to EDIT on his own

 However, the rights do not allow them to view it. So the user could NOT
 view his own user-document.
 The user can call /bin/edit/... this works, but this could not expected from
 a new user

 When I explicitly give view access, everything works fine.

Suppose to be in wiki editor having this header:

user can use this notation in order to create the page pointed in a second

We upgraded XWiki to version 2.2.2. I didn't change anything but now I have

I have TestClass in TestSpace, template is TestTemplate in TestSpace.

Class properties for TestClass
ID (ID: Number)

Servis Manager (Manager: Static List)

Script for livetable:

{{velocity}}
#set($columns = [ID, Name, Description, Manager])
#set($columnsProperties = {
   ID : { type : number },
   Name : { type : text},
   Description : { type : text },
   Manager : { type : list}
})
#set($options = {
  className:TestSpace.TestClass,
  rowCount: 15
  })
#livetable(Catalog $columns $columnsProperties $options)
{{/velocity}}

I created two TestClass type documents in TestSpace (I can see them in
TestSpace.TestClass page), but page with livetable script has only header
row.
Same script in 2.1.M1 version created table with header + rows with
documents and Template document too.

Any idea what I do wrong?

Re: [xwiki-users] Livetable

2010-03-18 Thread Jeremie BOUSQUET
There is an issue in 2.2 when sorting on a non-string property (see
http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XWIKI-4973).
As you don't specify a sort column, I think it sorts on first column wich is
a Number, and so livetable is empty ...

Waiting for 2.2.3 release, you can try this workaround : add
class:TestSpace.TestClass for each column in $columnsProperties

Hope this helps,

 a word document to start editing the links.

When you import your own XAR, make sure NOT TO SELECT the XWiki.XWikiUsers
document ;-)

Re: [xwiki-users] Manage Watchlist page.

2010-03-18 Thread Jean-Vincent Drean
The usual way to upgrade a xwiki instance is to keep the data in place
and to import the new xar inside the wiki, see
http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Installation#HUpgradingwikidocuments
If you really wish to export your data as XAR then you must import it
first, then import the default xwiki xar.

[xwiki-users] xwiki Macro using groovy

2010-03-18 Thread Alaina
Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for your quick answer on my previous question.

I am trying to write a bibliography/cite macro (I am happy to share
once it dies something useful). I am writing the macro in a wiki page
and I am using groovy as scripting language.

I would like to have access to the URL of an attachment of the page
the macro is used on. I am doing so by using

doc.getAttachmentURL( name );

however, the URL uses the page the Macro is saved in, not the page the
macro is used on. I think I managed this before using velocity.
So my question: what would be the right way of accessing the Document
of the page the macro is placed on?

Thanks for your help,
