Since you are using a .de e-mail address i suppose that you speak german :-) If so, take a look at pofo.de. Re: [vchkpw] Login using only username not whole e-mail
Hi! As far as I remember vpopmail has an option called DEFAULT_DOMAIN. If you enable this for your domain you can use the username to login. If there are any additional/virtual domains on the server you have to use the whole e-mail address for those. Correct me if I'm wrong. [vchkpw] warning: trouble injecting bounce message, will try later
Hi there! After recompiling all the packages I solved my OpenEFilter problem, but yesterday at exactly 9 pm a new error came up, although I was far, far away from my PC :-) For every mail that should be received/sent I get a warning: trouble injecting bounce message, will try later. Right now I'm a step ahead(?) and can send mails from the prompt, but when I try to send a msg with telnet or evolution, I get mail server temporarily rejected message. pop3/imap works fine. Thanks for your help Bernd
Re: [vchkpw] warning: trouble injecting bounce message, will try later
Hi Eduardo! Thanks for your mail. I already tried the same at morning and after replacing my qmail-queue with the default qmail-queue I moved from the trouble injecting bounce message, will try later to mail server temporarily rejected message. So also in my case it had to do something with qmail-queue but it's still not really working. All related with qmail-queue binary. Try to see if your qmail-queue binary is the right one.. [vchkpw] OpenEFilter doesn't like me anymore
Hi there! Last week I had to change the LDAP structure on my server on which only qmail was running, but qmail/clamd/spamassassin didn't like that at all :-( Till last week, vpopmail wrote all information to o=server Now also pureftpd has to find its users in this ldap directory and so I created ou=ftp and ou=mail. I reinstalled vpopmail with the new settings and everything works fine. I can fetch my mails with pop3/imap, send mails and vqadmin writes the data to ou=domain.com,ou=mail,o=server, but although spamd and clamd are running, both of them don't filter/scan anything :-( Can this really be because of the changes I made to the LDAP structure or do I have to search for my mistake somewhere else? Thanks and have a nice day Bernd
Re: [vchkpw] ldap + vpopmail 5.4.3
Hi Marcio! Well, it's maybe not the most comfortable way, but for me it works just fine on FreeBSD 5.2.1: Just add --enable-auth-module=ldap to the CONFIGURE_ARGS= of /usr/ports/mail/vpopmail/Makefile Give it a try Greets from Austria Bernd On Mon, 2004-05-24 at 16:17, Márcio Luciano Donada wrote: Sorry my ingles, i'm from brasilian! [vchkpw] How to forward system mails
Hi all! I have qmail, courier-imap, vpopmail, ... installed and everything works very fine! Today I thought that it would be nice to forward the root mails which the system generates like I do on the other systems, but it doesn't work. I haven't .forward started and so i tried to write it into /etc/aliases or /var/qmail/alias/.qmail-root but no effect. What's the best way to forward my root mails? Should I start the support for .forward files although I just need it for root or is there an easier way? Thanks and have a nice day Bernd
Re: [vchkpw] VqAdmin Help Please
I am getting the following error when trying to access VQAdmin vQadmin was unable to determine your username, which means your webserver is improperly configured to run with this CGI. For security reasons, this script will not run without Apache htaccess lists. vqadmin 2.3.2 vpopmail 5.2.2 -- I have setup .htaccess and put the directory in apache. Basically, everything was followed from the INSTALL. Any thoughts? Does Apache ask you about your username and password or is he ignoring your .htaccess? Greets Bernd

[vchkpw] vpopmail with LDAP
Hi all! I'd like to move my current mailserver from Postfix/Cyrus to qmail/courier-imap and til now almost everything works fine, but there is this small thing that makes me crazy :-) The testserver is running FreeBSD 5.2.1 with qmail, courier-imap, vpopmail, ldap, ... and performs really well. vpopmail writes the users into ldap as it should, the only problem is that I'd need the password in plaintext! If I don't use ldap, vpopmail stores the password in plaintext at the end of line in the password file, but as soon as I change to ldap it stores them MD5 encrypted. MD5 would be ok, as long as it stores the plaintext password next to the encrypted one. So has anyone ever had the same problem and could help me out? Please give me a hint ;-) Thanks in advance and greetings from Austria Bernd Ueberbacher
Once again: vpopmail relaying with mysql (HELP PLEASE!!!)
Hi all, after getting no response at all, this is my second try. I have up and running a supervised (daemontools, tcpserver) qmail-1.03 with MySQL, vpopmail-4.9.8-1, sqwebmail-2.0.0 and qmailadmin-0.45, followed exactly LWQ. I read all the FAQs and all List-archives, but my problem persists. Compiling vpopmail with --enable-roaming-users=n, all is working fine, but, logically, without relaying. Compiling vpopmail with --enable-roaming-users=y leads to a stucking qmail-pop3d (CPU 80%), after a client has tried to access his account, while vchkpw logs success. This is my qmail-pop3d run script: #!/bin/sh exec /usr/local/bin/softlimit -m 200 \ /usr/local/bin/tcpserver -v -R -H -l 0 0 110 /var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup \ FQDN /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d Maildir 21 I think, this means, the two first of the three invoked modules, qmail-popup and vchkpw are working fine, but the third invoked process, qmail-pop3d, stucks. The reason for this, I suppose, is that there is no open-smtp.cdb created. ./clearopensmtp also stucks. But I´ve noticed, that the client-IP appears in the vpopmail db in the table relay, but never get pushed to /home/vpopmail/etc/open-smtp.cdb. So parts of it seems to work. What is wrong, what am I missing, or better, what is the responsible part of this missing step above. May be, this is a database layout problem, too? Is there a link to a correct mysqldump.db for vpopmail? In the FAQ, i found a tcpserver-mysql-patch, which should let the tcpserver access the mysql-db directly, without compiling any *.cdb. Anyone can point me to the missing link for this patch? Greetings Bernardo Virengeprüft vom G DATA AntiVirenKit
