Re: [vchkpw] Problems with defaultdomain when authenticating from courier-imap
Thanks a lot, it worked deactivating vpopmail's defaultdomain and activating imapd defdomain instead. Now I only have to find out why when using an account name with more than 7 characters I get failure in the login and this text in the log: Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: Connection, ip=[:::127.0.0.1] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: *** glibc detected *** /usr/lib/courier-imap/sbin/imaplogin: realloc(): invalid next size: 0x086672d8 *** Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: === Backtrace: = Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /lib/libc.so.6[0x8ff8c0] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /lib/libc.so.6(realloc+0xfe)[0x9017ae] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /lib/libc.so.6[0x8c3435] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /lib/libc.so.6(putenv+0x77)[0x8c31a7] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/lib/courier-imap/sbin/imaplogin[0x804a38f] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/local/lib/courier-authlib/libcourierauth.so.0(_authdaemondo+0x34a)[0x86528a] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/local/lib/courier-authlib/libcourierauth.so.0(authdaemondo+0x4b)[0x86539b] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/local/lib/courier-authlib/libcourierauth.so.0(auth_generic+0x13b)[0x8642db] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/local/lib/courier-authlib/libcourierauth.so.0(auth_login+0xda)[0x86584a] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/lib/courier-imap/sbin/imaplogin[0x80496a8] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/lib/courier-imap/sbin/imaplogin[0x804b670] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/lib/courier-imap/sbin/imaplogin[0x80494cc] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xdc)[0x8adf2c] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: /usr/lib/courier-imap/sbin/imaplogin[0x80491f1] Nov 7 09:45:59 hunter imapd: === Memory map: A memory problem? Re: [vchkpw] Problems with defaultdomain when authenticating from courier-imap
Hello there, I admin a server running qmail, courier-imap and vpopmail. Courier-imap authenticates against vpopmail, using authvchkpw. I recently tried to configure defaultdomain but it doesnt work on IMAP. It works for POP though. If you reconfigured vpopmail and rebuilt it, but didn't rebuild courier-imap/authdaemon, you're still using the old vpopmail library. If you're using qmail's pop3 daemon, it uses vchkpw directly, which is why it works. Re: [vchkpw] Problems with defaultdomain when authenticating from courier-imap
Vpopmails defaultdomain setting isn't a compiled option. It can be set on the fly, but as far as I know courier-imap has its own setting for default domain in the imapd config file. :) - Original Message - From: Joshua Megerman [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: vchkpw@inter7.com vchkpw@inter7.com Sent: Tue Nov 06 07:01:41 2007 Subject: Re: [vchkpw] Problems with defaultdomain when authenticating from courier-imap Hello there, I admin a server running qmail, courier-imap and vpopmail. Courier-imap has its own setting for default domain. Look in your imapd configuration file.
