As far as Igor's confirmation on channel not available I get this message only on DVB-S2 encrypted channels. I dont get it on encrypted DVB-S channels. As far as Reinhard's suggestion for the Initial channel (to tune for a few minutes before the card actually tunes), I could not get a sustained lock. It locked after about 10 minutes, it gave me TS stream errors for a few seconds and then it lost lock. I have the feeling that the channel is not available at my location/dish installation. Modified szap does not work at all with multiproto plus. it's strange. May be the version of multiproto_plus and multiproto is different ? It may take up to several minutes until it successfully tunes to this channel (you'll see several messages like 'frontend 0 timed out while tuning to channel 1860, tp 111449'). BTW: Where do these PMT-SWITCH messages come from? OT: check your LANG and LC_... environment variables. Set LANG to one entry among the list which locale -a outputs and check the values of the other variables by typing locale In case an LC_... variable is not set explicitly, the locale command will print it's default value derived from other variables like LANG, so there is no need to set them unless you want some of them to be different from their default values. [vdr] Can not view DVB-S2 channels
Dear All, I have a skystar hd and I am using vdr 1.7.0 with the h264 patch and xine for output device as described here: http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/index.php/OpenSUSE_VDR_DVB-S2_-_xine The only channel I am able to watch is HD Suisse. I can not watch any other dvb-s2 or h264 channel. When I zap to it I get: channel not available.
