Love this thread; start with a little humor, and continue with a little education that can improve my tying. I will whip in with the clove hitch which I learned to tie in Navy boot camp in 1966. Not a knot to use to not slip, but that feature can be useful if you need a knot to slip which is not what a knot usually does. Re: [VFB] Re: [RODMAKERS] Albolene
Wayne, Albolene is used by women for a cream I think to remove make-up. I found it at Rite-aid in the women's area by Noxema I think. Like the fellow above I got the jar and them moved some into a film canister. It is easy to use and no worries on what to do with excess - rub it on your hands. You do not need to add anything. I would use it on my line as well and if you put it on your line and wipe the line pulling it through a clean cloth, it becomes a line cleaner. Nice stuff and cheap. Re: [VFB] Re: [RODMAKERS] Albolene
It is in the cosmetic department with the other face creams at Rite Aid pharmacy here in Utah. It comes in a gigantic jar and is a bit pricey, but as others have said, I have my original jar. I think that if you read the ingredients, that Nivea cream has the same ones. However, the neat thing about Abolene is that it has no fragrance.
