Extrovert.

It would be interesting to know if there is a correlation between
introvert
bloggers being behind the camera and extrovert bloggers being in front
of
the camera. Seems a reasonable hypothesis!

LOL too funny - particularly since I'm partially supporting myself
through speeches at the moment. :)

And it sounds like we're discovering a pattern here with this
extrovert-introvert-extrovert thing depending on the audience.

one question - I wonder how many vloggers would consider themselves
introverted in front of a camera? Again, it's a mixed bag for me - I'm
not big on having stills taken of me, but I have no problem with
yakking it up on video. Maybe it's a weight thing.

INTP - I would prefer living in a library or with books but I can be
social or appear extraverted for a limited time period. Don't mind
preping or giving a speech but I want to run for the hills after (I
don't but I feel that way sometimes.)

I think because vlogging can allow those who are introverted to do
what they do in private, it is a great medium for all persuasions.

As for my vlogging style, I really don't want to be the focus. I want
to record what I encounter and document the dissappearing world I once
knew. Maybe in the future, when I'm ready and have something
worthwhile to say.

[videoblogging] Re: Introverts and Extroverts

2006-02-10 Thread Carl Weaver
I'd have to say I am in between, probably slightly leaning toward introvert.
I get recharged from being on my own but also enjoy the company of others.
In large groups where I don't know many people, I tend to feel a little
anxious. On the other hand, I am a professional entertainer (a teacher), so
I get my fill of groups of people all day long and sometimes catch myself
expecting other people to be as menacing and dreary as my students are. So I
think my introversion is more a factor of my demoralizing job than anything
else.

But like Steve G., I am a work in progress and way to young to label this
way.

Cheers,
Carl

[videoblogging] Re: Introverts and Extroverts

2006-02-10 Thread Edmund Yeo
Well, it really depends. Usually, I'm fine with being with a large
group of people who don't actually bore me. And once being with people
like that, I can feel pretty energized and ah, recharged.

But people who bore me will make me end up feeling empty, and I would
probably just walk off after feeling rather uncomfortable.

Er, although I do have to say that I do get bored rather easily. There
are times when I would think of something like bah, why the hell am I
wasting my time with them when I can just stay home and do something
more productive

Maybe that's just my massive ego speaking. Hmm. I guess I'm just kinda
mercurial.

energized and recharged emotionally, mentally, spiritually.

My guess, based on what you said, is that you're close to the middle,
more towards the introvert side, but that you're not shy, which makes
a difference in how you perceive your own introvert/extrovert self.
