Re: [videoblogging] Screencasting in Windows Media File (long)
Unable to get with Raymond last night, I did solve the problem this morning, by converting the .wmv files to .avi. I did that using STOIK, which is freeware video conversion software. Whew! The .avi files look fine! A tiny bit blurry, but not jumpy/crazy like the other ones! I even converted the .avi files that Windows Movie Maker had made which were all jumpy, and converted from .avi to .avi, and got a much smoother video. Thanks everyone for your suggestions yesterday. Even though I was cranky (technofrustration strikes again), you were all very patient with my questions. I know it was an esoteric question, something that not many people do, but it really helped. --Stephanie -- Stephanie Bryant [EMAIL PROTECTED] Vlog: http://mortaine.blogspot.com Audioblog: http://bookramble.blogspot.com Yahoo! That didn't seem to help in previewing in the Storyboard. The files play just fine in Windows Media Player when I view them separately from the Windows Movie Maker. --Stephanie On 1/16/06, Adam Quirk [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: On 1/16/06, Stephanie Bryant [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Image quality: 0 That's a problem, I bet. The non-pay version has a watermark, and I can't wait for IT to jump through the paperwork hoops to buy a license. Besides which, I'm not sure that would solve the problem with Windows Movie Maker, which is what's showing the preview at such a bitmappy display. --Stephanie On 1/16/06, Michael Sullivan [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: maybe try camstudio.org-- Stephanie Bryant[EMAIL PROTECTED]Vlog: http://mortaine.blogspot.comAudioblog: http://bookramble.blogspot.com YAHOO! Hello Stephanie, Try this great freeware WINK: http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ I suggest you read also the tutorial on that site. You can achieve good results and rather quickly, it is as intuitive as RoboDemo. (I don't know how intuitive Camtasia is.) Only be careful with the number of the frames per file (if I remember right, each file should not have more than 20 frames. But the (expensive) screencast software has such file limitations, too ...
