scim-unikey-puppylivecd Cài gói này http://wangji.hoan.googlepages.com/scim-unikey-puppylivecd.pet trên bất kỳ puppy livecd (v2.16,v3.01 hay v4.0 ) đều cho phép gõ chữ việt với scim (tables/m17n) hoặc unikey trong sọan thảo gtk_apps Với các sọan thảo non_gtk như geany hay mozedit (htmleditor ) thì phải chạy qua wrapper như /root/unikey_wrapper geany ( mozedit ) (hacao-2.16 chỉ có cài unikey -system wide ) . Điểm khó là thời buổi puppy-2.16 (khoảng 2006) m17n rất bị chục trặc (ubuntu dapper không chạy được m17n chẳng hạn ! ) Sau đó sang puppy v3.01 và v4.0 thì lại có sự cố thay đổi gtk (2.4.0 sang 2.10.0) .chưa kể phiên bản glibc cũng chuyển. xvnkb-scim-unikey và livecd Kubuntu-8.04/7.04 Chạy livecd kubuntu ,cài scim-gtk2-immodule , scim-modules-table và gconf2 với adept-manager (tựa như synaptic của ubuntu) ; nhớ là phải bật lên universe_repo vì mặc định ở trạng off . Kế tiếp cài xvnkb-scim-unikey-ubuntuhardy.deb với dpkg. Thử ngay với kwrite_xvnkb trên desktop ,phải đổi font từ monospace sang DejaSansSerif : gõ chữ việt ok . Tuy nhiên ,vì kubuntu dòng giống kde -khác loài với gtk - , không có cách nào 'chuột' vào để đổi kiểu gõ như với ubuntu ! Để cấu hình scim ,chạy sudo sh /etc/X11/Xsession.d/74custom_scim_startup rồi chọn check_off dòng scim global : share the same input method among all applications ; Làm như vậy sẽ cho phép mở apps với kiểu gõ khác nhau ! Kế tiếp phải restartx lại (chuột vào K --switch user -- start new session ) ,ghi user : ubuntu nopassword Lý do của chuyện khó khăn : Nếu trong /etc/X11/Xsession.d/74custom_scim_start có dòng export QT_IM_MODULE=scim thì có vấn đề ! Bên ubuntu_gnome không vấn đề vì không cài qt-immodule ; nhưng kubuntu đã cài sẵn scim-qtimm và skim ! (nguyên nhân chính là ...chỉ để phục vụ màu mè biểu tượng xinh nhỏ hơn với biểu tượng của gnome !) Giải pháp cho chuyện trên : Chèn dấu # (comment out ) dòng export QT_IM_MODULE=scim trong tệp /etc/X11/Xsession.d/74custom_scim_start Sau khi restartx , muốn hiển thị bàn phím scim...thì phải sudo killall scim-panel-gtkđôi lần ,tới lúc nào bàn phím hiện ra là ok ! 1 mỗi livecd/dvd người ta tạo ra,rất công phu để mọi chuyện hào hòa với nhau (tôi đã có kinh nghiệm khi tạo physicstools chắp lại từ nhiều trình khác nhau có trên mạng,nhưng không trong cùng một cd,năm 2004 ,kể cả đã phải hỏi tác gỉa để biên dịch những cái không có package lúc đó (gTyball ,GiNac ,Scilab) !) hello bồ GTT,
1 Không thiếu cái /KNOPPIX/modules/ của Quanta đâu. Lý do ,2 câu
a nó không nằm trong iso mà trong minirt26.gz
b chạy script thì tui có dvd boot đã chạy với cả 3 distro
(nếu sai...,còn lâu chạy!)
2 KNOPPIX chép với script đã được đổi tên,vậy không gì mất !
( nếu đã lỗi bị mất...còn lâu boot được cả 3 cái distro )
3 quan trọng cho ngành học toán không phải ở knoppix v4 hay v5
hoặc kernel mới hơn hay không (nó chỉ quan trọng cho một số SMP,
bảo mật...chứ cho distro tầm thường...thì miễn nên đổi mới)
Phải so sánh giữa ICMS2006 với knomath-1.1,thấy hơn kém cái chi đã
về apps toán !
4 script được đưa ra để chứng minh có thể tạo dvd boot với 3 distro
tùy ý mình chọn !một cách đơn gjỉan ( tuy rằng đọc trên mạng hầu như vẫn chưa
thấy có như vậy Hồi xưa tui có tạo dvd multibooot gửi về cho bác Hải và
Chairuou,cũng đã 2 năm rồi !)
Chứ remaster một cái dvd thàng MỘT cái dvd
thứ hai...thì đầy script trên mạng !!! có chi mới
Còn ai muốn chu thêm ,hay tạo cái gì tốt thì lẽ dĩ nhiên nên làm
5 dvd như vậy mong có ích cho một trường học ,hay thày gíao,với điều kiện adsl
để tải
(512kbit/s cũng phải mất gần 24 tiếng đồng hồ !Làm sao mà bảo các chú
modem tải được !chưa kể lỗi các paquet sẽ quá nhiều ,không bao giờ dialup
modem hy vọng tải 4.3Gb về mà không bị lỗi !nhất là đồ nén toàn bộ(nén block
65K nhưng không có kiểm tra từng block,thành coi như bị nén toàn bộ)một lỗi
tí síu là tiêu cả cuộc tải

hello , nếu đã boot d,tức là boot từ cd_iso thì c.img chỉ là cái túi để giữ lại dữ liệu (dùng qemu-img create c.img disk_size để tạo nó,không cần dùng fdisk vì chỉ là túi dữ liệu thì làm nhiều phân vùng chỉ rắc rối thêm mà không lợi chi) (data disk,không boot nó được;ngày xưa tụi nài gọi là dùng velonet,lấy xe đạp mang băng tape_data_30cm từ trung tâm thu ghi-mini,pdp11,vax700- đem tới các trạm nhai cắn số-big data cruncher-như bigblue ,univac,cdc -) thì đây cũng vậy,c.img sẽ dùng trong qemu xy.isoghi song,tháo umount ra cho vào pchost quan sát !(tuy có cách trao đổi data từ qemu_guest tới pc_host bằng ethernet _ảo tap ,và bridge_ảo để nối mạng_ảo_tại_chỗ của qemu với mạng ảo của host) qemu chạy trong môi trường hoàn tòan riêng biệt,không đụng chạm tới pchost (ngoài cái cống_củchi cho phép đem thuyền lên biển khơi internet !) không đụng chạm tới hdd,trực tiếp được; nếu có vấn đề diskspace thì c.img không thể gỉai quyết nó được, vì c.img nằm trên hd !!!tại c.img lớn thì hd cũng mất đi ngần ấy ! Lên đường đĩa ảo với puppyvn ! Mục tiêu : tạo puppyvn bootable chạy bằng qemu puppyvn ! Cách làm :tôi không biết,và chưa thấy ai làm . Để chứng minh khả năng đĩa ảo,tôi đã làm các chặng sau đây. 1 tạo đĩa ảo bootable: mkdslvdsk puppyvn 120 2 chép các tệp trong puppyvn.iso vào puppyvn : mount -oloop,ofset=32256 puppyvn /mnt/test mount -oloop puppyvn.iso /mnt/sdb cp -a /mnt/sdb/*/mnt/test 3 Sửa grub_menu.lst trong /mnt/test/boot/grub/menu.lst để có dòng sau : default 0 kernel /vmlinuz ramdisk_size=41324 root=/dev/ram0 init=/sbin/init vga=normal noacpi napm noscsi (nếu quên sửa menu.lst thì sẽ bị ngay kernel panic lúc boot !!!) umount /mnt/sdb umount /mnt/test 4 chạy qemu puppyvn sẽ được khai báo không tìm thấy usr_cramfs,và sẽ không khởi được X nhưng nó cho vào được console root của puppyvn.Thế là đã tiến được 1/2 công việc. Để tạm thời gíup nó tìm usr_cramfs thì bỏ vào túi đem theo lúc khởi xướng ! 5 Tạo túi kèm usr_cramfs: qemu-img create bag 100M mke2fs bag mount -oloop bag /mnt/test mount -oloop puppyvn.iso /mnt/sdb cp /mnt/sdb/usr_cram.fs /mnt/test umount /mnt/test ,umount /mnt/sdb 6 qemu puppyvn -hdb bag lúc vào được console của puppyvn,khai báo nó cái usr_tệp bằng mount /dev/hdb /mnt/data mount -oloop /mnt/data/usr_cram.fs /usr gõ đại startx ... và chờ trao đổi chỉ định keybd,chuột,... kiếm chai bia ra ngắm chuồn chuồn !! Đây không phải là cách hoàn hảo để tạo puppyvn bootable. Nhưng với 2 đầu ngón tay gìanó còn cho nhìn đâu sai đâu thiếu rồi dần gìa...gỉai quyết !! ps Nếu bạn không có mkdslvdsk script,cũng có thể tạo đĩa ảo bootable bằng 2 đầu ngón tay : tạo puppyvn size=99090432 fdisk puppyvn nhớ chọn cyl=24,head=128,sector=63 tạo primary partition bootable,rồi ghi_w grub nó với device-map hd6 puppyvn sau setup (hd6) sẽ được khai báo thành công !!! have fun - Take Surveys. qemu hoàn toàn chạy trong ram,mặc định 128m.Nếu ai mở nhiều apps quá thì sẽ treo ! Muốn gỉai cái đó thì tăng ram lên 256,383,512m Nếu máy ít ram ,rất có thể phải gỡ /dev/shm rồi móc lại theo lời giặn của khai báo qemu. livecd tuy lớn con,nhưng cũng chạy được trên 128 hay 256m của qemu là vì nó gỉai nén đường cò bay (uncompress on the fly). qemu tuyệt để thử (khi tạo livecd mới)hay tải ở đâu về mà chưa muốn đốt. Nhưng nếu livecd là một tiện ích (scratchbox ,security tool,...)và dùng nó như một tiện ích thì không có một lý do gì chạy nó qua qemu (chữ live không còn ý nghĩa gì nữa) Khi dùng qemu -cdrom cd.iso -hda c.img -boot d -m 512 khả năng của qemu rất lớn,nhưng cũng bị hạn chế ở 512M,và c.img_size vì qemu không có cách nào trao đổi với pchost ,ngoài mạng !!!Các thiết bị cứng không có trong mắt của qemu Chỉ sử dụng đuợc chỗ trống của c.img thôi !dù có đĩa ngoài hàng chục Gb ở dạng data,c.img có thể được tạo dạng cow copy on write ,tức là đĩa khả năng lớn khi tạo,nhưng chỉ mất chỗ cho các tệp đã viết vào. 1 mkdslvdsk dslvdisk 200
(to create a virtual disk of 200Mb with grub installed,and inside it I store
an install_script instvdskto be used in the follow)
2 invoke
qemu -m 256 -cdrom dsl-xx.iso -hdb dslvdisk
at boot: prompt ,login console with user_dsl to preserve resource
boot: dsl 2
3 #mount /dev/hdb1 /mnt/hdb1 /mnt/hdb1/instvdsk
this will install to virtual disk from livecd .at the end of the process (#
prompt)
# umont /mnt/hdb1
4 exit qemu instance,and launch now
qemu dslvdisk (you now start bootup dsl_on virtual disk !)
have fun
I check my script on 3 differents partitions(ubuntu-6,kanotix-9 and a
homemade_scratchbox-toolkit,and it worked
but on another machine,I could not get a bootable vdsk !(damned fdisk,and
geometry c-h-s stuffs !)
you need to run as root (because manipulations of virtual disk
(dd,losetup,mount...)
The script is very short,self explanatory;I do not do anything on
device,hdd

be a good idea to first check the settings configured by opening
Kanotix.vmx in a text editor; for example, if you want to use an ISO
image other than Kanotix-2005-04.iso, you will need to update the
IDE1:0 configuration.
Initially, the configured NVRAM (CMOS) boot options are set to boot
from the Kanotix CD image directly, but this can be changed by hitting
F2 inside the virtual machine (quickly!) at boot time.
If you have problems getting the virtual machine screen size set to
your current desktop size, uncomment the svga.maxWidth and
svga.maxHeight options in the Kanotix.vmx file and set these to the
wanted virtual desktop dimensions.
The virtual machine is set to initially use 128 MB of memory, so you'd
better have that amount of free memory available. Therefore, do not
attempt to run this VMplayer configuration on any machine having less
than 256 MB memory! (or prepare to be disappointed...)
If you change the Virtual BIOS boot options boot order so the 8 MB
harddisk image is selected first, a grub configuration with
preconfigured boot options will be started by default, demonstrating
how to set up a custom Virtual Kanotix with your own favorite boot
options (sometimes called poor-man's or frugal installation).
Note that if you use the poor man's boot configuration you will need to
update the initrd (miniroot.gz) and kernel (vmlinuz) on the harddisk
image (by virtual-booting directly from the virtual CD again) if you
want to use a newer Kanotix CD-ROM .ISO version that has updated
versions of these files.
If you want more virtual disk space, download the latest Qemu and
create extra .vmdk image files with qemu-img. These can be mounted by
editing the Kanotix.vmx virtual machine configuration file. Accessing
files on your physical machine can be done using Samba; please keep in
mind though that this will reduce or even nullify the security
advantages that running an OS in a virtual machine has...
The virtual machine setup should also be able to boot any other live-CD
or -DVD that has drivers/kernel modules or direct kernel support for
the VMware virtual video and network devices.
Virtual-booting directly from a CD or DVD is also possible if you
configure a CD-ROM device in cdrom-raw mode, see Kanotix.vmx for an
example.
I have succesfully used K3B to burn a new Kanotix CD from a virtual
Kanotix session running under Windows. (Who needs Nero anyway?) ;-)
Tested configurations:
- Virtual Kanotix 2005-04, running under VMplayer 1.0.1.19317-linux-RPM
under physical Kanotix 2005-04 :-)
- Virtual Kanotix 2005-04, running under VMplayer 1.0.1.19317-windows
on Windows 2000 Professional SP4 English.
- Knoppix 4.02 DVD image both under Windows 2000 and Kanotix :-)
So, is anyone still using VMware's Browser Appliance Virtual Machine
(based on a virtual-HD install of Ubuntu 5.10) when you can use Virtual
Knoppix or Kanotix instead?

hi G_TT, Tui vừa nhờ một người ở bên kia đại tây dương (NY) thử và được trả lời như sau: Dear Hoan, I just booted ScratchboxMultiCPU-2.3 on our desktop server. It works real nice. No problems. Geert Suy nghĩ như sau:nếu md5_iso ok mà boot vướng không nhận đọc được cái lõi nén ' KNOPPIX' thì chắc lõi nén có hơn một byte sai lầm . Để thử có 3 cách A boot thẳng cái iso đó bằng qemu -m 256 -cdrom file.iso B Chép thẳng cả bộ hệ tệp của file iso đó vàp gốc một phân vùng hdaj ,rồi boot vào hdaj đó với tham số kernel_vmlinuz initrd_miniroot.gz của thư mục /boot (hdaj).Muốn chắc,mount iso,rồi copy từ iso_mount_point sang hdaj/ (format ext2/ext3 cho hdaj) C check cái file_iso/KNOPPIX/sboxcore-2.3 md5 của nó nằm trong file_iso/KNOPPIX/md5sums Nếu một trong 3 gỉai pháp trên cũng báo sai,không boot được ...thì bó tay !!! suy nghĩ thêm về sai byte: Tuy mksquashfs nén từng block_65536 byte,nhưng không có md5 cá nhân,và cũng không chèn kỹ thuật lo sai forward_error_corection,thành md5 tính cho tổng kết tệp.Sai một byte là có sác xuất 1 trên 700 triệu để cd chạy đúng !!! Nếu dùng cd-rw để viết đốt,thì dễ cao sác xuất hư ! Lý do tại hệ số phản xạ thấp của dạng pha đa tinh thể (polycrystalline phase medium) làm cho số tín trên nhiễu nhỏ (chuối hơn tín/nhiễu của cd-r),gây nhiều trục trặc cho các tệp bự_nén loại livecd_knoppix_like (PeterAnvin có tạo rescueCD dùng nhiều phần nén nhỏ hơn nhưng đó không phải mode hiện thời). Khi hãng sản xuất rw (cd cũng như dvd)quảng cáo là viết xóa trên 1000 lần...thì chỉ đúng cho khi dùng thông thường,nhiều tệp nhỏ...không bao giờ viết tệp bự kiểu mình dùng cho livecd vive cd-r ! cho livecd ! Tuy nhiên ,nếu chỉ có 1,3GB thì chép không hết ( 2,7GB ) một byte nào đó ở cd có vấn đề khó đọc ! Chép tệp nén bự của cd sang máy bác,ròi mount nó mà chép ! 1 bác mount hdax ,cp /cdrom/KNOPPIX/file_bự /mnt/hdax/tmp/ 2 kiểm tra md5sum cái tệp bự (trong cd,có nó đó ) nếu ok 3 mount -o loop -t squashfs /mnt/hdax/tmp/file_bự /mnt/test 4 cp -a /mnt/test/* /mnt/hda_nào_đó (chỗ muốn vọc) ở bếp tui ,df sau khi chép ,nó ghi : 2879164 !tức 2,88GB

2.1. Installing the Scratchbox
The current stable release of Scratchbox is 1.0.1. You can get the needed
packages from. The following packages are needed from the download page:
scratchbox-core, scratchbox-libs and scratchbox-toolchain-arm-glibc. All of
those packages are provided as binary tar.gz, deb and rpm form. In this
article we use .tar.gz files. The Scratchbox installation we are going to use
takes about 522 mb of hard disk space and it will install under
'/scratchbox/'. You will also need some extra space to work in. If you don't
have enough space on your root partition then you can create a symbolic link
to some other partition before continuing, e.g.:
mkdir /work/scratchbox

'run_me_first.sh' asks you some questions, just use defaults. After this we
need to add user for Scratchbox. User must be some user that you have in your
system. Do NOT add root user! e.g.:
/scratchbox/sbin/sbox_adduser vmankine
Scratcbox installation document [3] chapter number two helps you in
installing the packages if you want to use for example .deb packages.
2.2. Down to business
Let us first use the old fashioned way of cross-compiling and use the
Scratchbox tools from the host system like any other tools. First we need a
small piece of software to compile. Hello World will do fine:

First let us compile the Hello World natively for X86 to see it works and
to see some information about the binary produced. We assume you wrote the
Hello World to a file named 'hello.c'. Now in the same directory where you
have the 'hello.c' execute a command:
gcc -Wall -o hello hello.c
It should not output anything and then you should have a 'hello' binary
that you can run to get output of Hello World!.
./hello
Hello World!
Now for running a 'file' command to see some information about the 'hello'
binary:
file hello

GNU/Linux 2.2.0, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped
Any of this does not yet have anything to do with Scratchbox or
cross-compiling for that matter. For cross-compiling we need to use the
cross-compiler provided in the Scratchbox packages. Run command:
