Hello Maria and all: Hmm, I cannot say that I have been able to reproduce this challenge. and I have tried :). Which iPhone are you using … 4, 4S, 5? have you used other Facebook apps to navigate Facebook before such as voice book or facely or anything like that? I believe you mentioned that before though I do not remember. I am sorry I have more questions than answers at this point. Oh, if you are seeing the same things I am and it appears that you are, there is no need to double tap on news feed and then on most recent or see more. if you see news feed, just double tap on most recent. Hopefully this information proves useful to you. Please let us know. Take good care and I wish you enough. Re: If there's anybody out there? info needed on the latest re full page braille displays.
I may be incorrect here, but insofar as I know, the full page Braille display only exists in the realm of speculitive fiction. The biggest obstacle here remains the production of inexpensive refreshable cells. I cannot tell you how many concepts I have heard about that would make refreshable Braille cells cheap. Thus far, unless I'm in the twilight zone, none of them have been released or used. Besides all that, a full page Braille display would be, to say the least, rather bulky. The current trend would appear to be leaning toward blue thooth connectivity and portability. RE: Talking Goggles issue!
Hi Jennifer, If it speaks another language than English must not be selected. The language selector is at the top right of the screen. If you double tap it the list of languages comes up, Voiceover will say Selected in front of the language that is selected. Swipe through the list until you find English and double tap it. If this really doesn't help or if it says Selected, English and the icon at the top right says something like En Flag (can't remember what it used to say since I renamed that button) then the easiest fix would be to just delete and reinstall the app. Since this app doesn't store any data and so on it would be quick to do that. More than a Line: What the Future Holds for Refreshable Braille - AccessWorld® - February 2013
hi, i found this! It is a beginning. hth sandy http://www.afb.org/afbpress/pub.asp?DocID=aw140205 More than a Line: What the Future Holds for Refreshable Braille Braille Technology Deborah Kendrick Refreshable braille displays have been an integral piece of the access technology landscape for people who are blind and deaf-blind for more than three decades now. Some have taken the form of simple peripherals, dumb add-ons that display the text appearing on a computer screen in braille. Others have been far more complex, enabling text input and manipulation as well as relaying vast amounts of vital information regarding the appearance of text. Still other displays have the built-in features for highly sophisticated personal digital organizers, enabling easy and efficient braille input and output for creating documents, reading books, Web browsing, database management, and a host of other functions. Braille displays over these 30 years have been available in various weights and sizes (from a few ounces to 15 pounds or so) and have offered as few as one braille cell and as many as 85. Most widely used braille displays, however, have been those peripherals and stand-alone devices featuring between 18 and 40 eight-dot braille cells. Whether a refreshable braille device features 12 cells or 80, however, one common denominator has been that all cells are arranged in a single horizontal line. While the notion of reading full screens, full documents, and indeed, entire books on a single 18-, 32-, or 40-character line strikes the uninitiated as hopelessly cumbersome, users of braille have found it an easy enough adjustment to make. For braille users, the independence and control afforded by refreshable braille has been so truly extraordinary that accessing desired information in a continuous linear fashion has been a welcome adjustment considered well worth any inconvenience. Any braille user who grew up prior to the advent of refreshable braille clearly remembers the scarcity of braille material and the difficulty of carrying even a few braille books around all day. With the advent of refreshable braille machines, we braille users could suddenly carry hundreds of books, create and edit our own documents, read and write e-mail, browse the Web, manage databases, maintain calendars, and more and this all in a device less than half the size of a single hard copy braille volume. To have such access to and command of written information in the familiar environment of braille makes that single line, albeit sometimes only long enough to hold a few words, easy enough to tolerate. Reaching for More Meanwhile, alongside the celebration of such a revolution in information access, the human imagination stretches to embrace future possibilities. Delicious rumors of a someday, someway, perhaps maybe possible multi-line refreshable braille display have circulated and been on the dream lists of avid braille users for just about as long as braille displays themselves have been in our hands. While countless individuals who read and write braille have adapted to (indeed, sometimes prefer) reading books on a single refreshable line of braille cells, the notion of more than one such line on a display is tantalizing. For reading certain types of material (science, mathematics, or poetry, to name but a few), the availability of more than one line to provide context can, quite simply, enable a reader to comprehend concepts and formats that are, at best, elusive when presented as one continuous braille line. Center for Braille Innovation When Brian Mac Donald assumed the role of president at National Braille Press (NBP) in Boston five years ago, he spent a year or so getting the lay of the land, restructuring, stabilizing existing operations, and looking at the future of braille. Already, National Braille Press was offering its materials in electronic as well as hardcopy paper formats, but Mac Donald recognized that more efficient methods for promoting braille literacy were needed. The Center for Braille Innovation was formed to explore and develop ways in which technology could be used to promote braille literacy. Deane Blazie, renowned pioneer who introduced the first personal notetaker designed for braille users, the Braille 'n' Speak, in 1987, immediately became involved as did Mike Romeo, another access technology pioneer and past employee of Blazie Engineering. By pooling the talents of Blazie, Romeo, and dozens of others contributing input and research, the Center for Braille Innovation has seen two significant projects emerge. First, a braille tablet called B2G (Braille to Go) is a multi-function robust Android device with a 20-cell braille display, ergonomic braille keyboard, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, onboard microphone, speakers, and the flexibility of installing Android apps to do anything from reading your junk mail to mapping your route to the

Zombies! Run 5k Trainer question
Hi all. I am trying to use the zombies run 5k trainer. The first screen is inaccessible but I can turn vo off and double tap the right hand lower corner of the screen. I completed week 1 workout 1 and hit the stop mission button after it indicated the workout was completed. Now when I run the app and double tap the lower right hand corner of screen when vo is off it goes to workout 1 again. How can I make it skip to workout 2? I want to be able to train with this app for a 5k run. Thanks! Hope -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Mini Rechargeable Portable Speaker (Pair) Brand new in box. Price is $25 plus shipping. Share your mobile music or videos and get great quality stereo sound in the palm of your hand with these Mini Rechargeable Portable Speakers! These small speakers are a perfect match for your portable music player, phone, or tablet and produce a big sound that belies their small size. Now you can watch a video on your phone or tablet and share it with friends without having to get extra headphones and Y cables. They are perfect for use in an office, attached to a laptop for a presentation, or plug them into your phone for a louder and clearer speaker phone during conference calls. Do you want music while you cook? Just plug them into your phone or mp3 player and fill your kitchen with both sweet sounds and savory smells! The speaker drivers measure 36 mm and are each powered by a 1.7 watt amplifier. They have a S/N ratio of ≥ 80 dB and a frequency response range of 280 Hz to 16 KHz. While these frequency response numbers would indicate poor bass and treble response, the speakers produce a loud, clear, and distortion-free audio response across the entire musical spectrum. The placement of the speaker drivers in the top of the enclosures allows them to really air out and fill a room with sound, without the boxy sound so often found in small speakers. Stereo placement is distinct and very much akin to listening to headphones - instruments or voices in the center sound like they are coming from another speaker placed in the center. Each speaker measures only 2 3/16 in diameter and about 1 5/8 tall when closed (about 2 1/4 tall when opened). They have a magnetic base, which allows them to attach to each other, forming an elongated egg shape when closed. They can also be attached to any magnetic metallic surface. The speakers open up for use, revealing the controls and connection ports. The set comes with two cables. One is a standard 29 3.5mm male-to-male stereo audio cable, which connects to the right side speaker. The other cable is a USB Y cable. One end has a standard USB A male plug, which connects to any USB power source and is used to charge the speakers. There are also two USB mini-B male plugs, which attach to each speaker. These carry both the power and audio signal between the two. The Y cable measures 17 between the two USB mini-B connectors and 5.5 between the USB A male plug and one of the mini-B ends. The left side speaker contains the power switch, LED indicator (red for charging, blue for charged/operating while not charging), and the volume control. Don't let their size fool you. No, they won't replace your 100 watt/channel Dolby 5.1 home theater setup, but you will be amazed that so much good sound can come from such a small package. They make great stocking stuffers for the kids or just

Re: A Frustration with Gmail
I wouldn't think we're talking about a service provider here. I don't think a service provider could move a message into your personal Spam folder. The service provider could be doing something like adding spam: to the subject line though. Is that happening in this case? I would think your best options are to move the message out of your spam folder, say into your in box. or marking it as not spam. Either of these actions should train Gmail that these messages are not spam. Re: voicebook
Hello Don, here are the steps to help you get Voice Book working. Number one go to Facebook, I did this via the and.Facebook.com site. When you get there, you need to go into your settings, then go into your apps, Find voice book, and make it so that voice book is no longer allowed on your Facebook. I hope that part makes sense. Then, number two On your eye device, uninstall voice book. Be sure both Voicebook and Facebook are out of your app switcher. Number three reinstall voice book, and follow the directions to Allow voice book to be an app on your Facebook page. Now, when you try to use voice book, it might still give you those errors a few more times. But keep trying after you do all the steps I told you, and it should work. I hope that wasn't too confusing. Re: How to talk back to siri
Hi Tara, If you turn off VO when you ask Siri a question and she comes back with a question for you, you should hear the little ding which means you can talk. this will happen automagically. So if she asks you a yes or no question, right after she asks you, you should hear the little ding. Just go ahead and answer her. Hope this helps.
