Sorry, Ed, I meant to write more. I said they are probably in your Photostream because if I go to the About section it says I have 40 pictures, however, only 8 are in my camera roll. 32 of them are in My Photostream. You can check this by selecting Albums at the bottom right, you then see Camera Roll and My Photostream and it will tell you the number of pictures in each. ibooks ios with braille display?
Hi , I just bought a few ibooks but dont find it to work that well on the mac. So i thought about reading them on the iphone, i would prefer to do that with my braille display. Has anyone got experience with this? Can you go quickly to the table of contents/the chapter you want/back t the table of contents? Can you scroll up or down pages in ibooks with the braille display? I see the page slider but than can only seem to change it via the touchscreen. Sicne pages seem to be fairly small this does not work all that quickly. I know you can read quicker with sliding 2 fingers down from the top but was wondering if/how you can do this with the braille display? Lire - Getting Back to the List of Articles
I have added feeds to Lire and bring up a list of articles. But, if I tap on one to read it, I cannot get back to the list to continue reading. I can 3-finger swipe left and right to navigate the articles, but I cannot get back to the menu. A walk-through the settings would be most appreciated! So my curiosity is the same way, how can I make this work to where I can send videos and picture messaging why does it keep saying that it's undeliverable? I have iOS 7.1 .0 still. Hi Jerry, yes, I just tried it again and no matter what I do, it comes back as an error. If I use SIRI to send a simple text message without media, no problem. I use Verizons and also have the 4s IPhone. I also tried to go directly to my camera roll, select what I want to send and go to share. I pick the option message and manually typed the number I want to send to and hit send but again, it fails.. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. If I find out though, I will surely let you know and others here that have the same problem. I will save you message here in my IPHone folder in my computer. Re: ibooks ios with braille display?
I read iBooks constantly with a Braille display. Depending on how many buttons you have, you can use them to change horizontal pages. Also, you can use dots 1-3-5-space and dots 2-4-6 space to change to next or previous page. The pages are indeed small, but I've decreased the font size to smallest so the amount of text on a page increases. It's easy to get to the library and table of contents. The table of contents is a little tricky, as it says list view. The Braille display will not scroll automatically. Also, be aware that you don't have to be at the page chooser to switch pages. I do this: read on to the end of the text, and when I hit the page chooser, I back up into the text and then switch pages. Hth, Teresa Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Can you do a search within the Lire App to find a feed or do you need to manually add? How do you add a feed to subscribe? I have not tried this, so i am just guessing. How large is the media file you are trying to send? Are you sending via WiFi or Data? You may just be hitting a size limit. How do I find a way to review an app?
Hi, I have an app which is inaccessible, and the customer service rep who looked into the issue for me has said they have no plans to make their app / products accessible. How do I get to a place to write a review of the app? I looked in the iTunes store, but didn't find a link for Write a Review on this app's page. If you are using the iPhone, go to the app store most King James version and other Bible apps are free of charge. I have a bunch of them different versions and different translations the majority of them as far as I know are free. If you type in King James version holy Bible, you will read a list of the different ones just hit search or whatever the button is. Strange Misreporting bug with Latest IOS Version
Hi folks, I've gott a weird one for you. Before updating to the latest IOS version I had a folder called News with three apps in it which are NFB Newsline, Newspapers and Newsstand. After updating, I found out about the Newsbeat app, installed it and added it to the News folder. The News folder has four apps in it and now IOS (or maybe VO) is reporting that there are five apps in the folder. This certainly isn't a big deal, but I find it rather curious. Thinking that a reboot might solve this, I turned off the phone and restarted it. It still shows five apps in the News folder. Is it possible that another app was moved to the folder by mistake? I've done that before. Also, did you move the Newsstand folder inside the News app? My guess as well, make sure you didn't accidently move something into your News folder to page 2 in the folder. Folders in iOS 7 can have multiple pages. Try a 3-finger swipe from right to left when the folder is open or, with the folder open, swipe right through your apps, if after the last one you hear a donk sound like the one when you are at the top left app on your home screen and try to go left, then you don't have another page. If you do have another page, you get to a control just like the one if you have multiple home screens which will say Page 1 of 2, adjustable. It places app store magazine subscriptions into the Newsstand folder. You might have the app on another page inside your News folder, too, as Sieghard mentioned. Try a 3-finger swipe from right to left when the folder is open or, with the folder open, swipe right through your apps, if after the last one you hear a donk sound like the one when you are at the top left app on your home screen and try to go left, then you don't have another page. If you do have another page, you get to a control just like the one if you have multiple home screens which will say Page 1 of 2, adjustable. Where are Pictures Stored that are in texts?

How do I copy an app from iTunes? I can't. See this NFB newsline anywhere, so I thought maybe I could copy it from iTunes. Just a FYI...You can search for iPhone/iPod apps from your iPad. Most iPhone/iPod apps can displayed on an iPad. Just choose the iPhone tab near the search field. HTH and you are welcome. I have them, and i started with the original model. i thought those were rather flimsily constructed, and I actually went through two sets. The frame on the second set just started chracking and falling apart. The audio was fine for voice, but not so great for music, and there was a lot of audio bleed. If I was sitting next to someone in a car or on a bus, they could hear what I was hearing. The new ones seem to be a little more sturdily constructed. The controls are on the right side, as opposed to the back, so they are more easily reached, and I think that this design puts less stress on the headband. The audio quality is much improved. They say that the bluetooth antenna has been moved forward, so you shouldn't get the disconnects that some complained about in the past. So far, I would definitely give it a thumbs up. Should I not run iPhone only apps on my iPad?
Hello all, I reported a problem to an Apple accessibility person today regarding an app store crash when I switch from iPad only apps to iPhone only apps when searching. He told me that since the app in question was designed to run on an iPhone and not an iPad that he wasn't sure that his engineers could come up with a fix. Does it really matter that I'm trying to run an iPhone only app on my iPad mini or did I get bad support? His basic point was that I was trying to run an app on a device it wasn't trying to run on. It seems like this is beside the point that the App Store is crashing when I'm trying to perform a search in this way. Just curious what everyone else thinks of this. I believe you received bad info. I say this, because I search for apps on my iPhone for my 3 children. I have my iPhone setup to share apps, music and books across devices. So all the apps on my children's iPads are iPhone apps. I have used their iPad to search the app store and didn't have any problem with the app store crashing. There are apps for iPad, iPhone or for any device. If their app is not specifically designated as for any device, then they don't have to support it on all devices. I do have some iPhone only designated apps that do not work on the iPad and vise versa. However, many are designated as both and run fine on either device. When I told him that this app was designed for the iPhone, he told me that I could put the wrong size tire on a car and get it to work sometimes. That was basically his comparison. transfering documents from one app to another app
Hi all, I have a few questions about transfering documents from one app to another app. Okay when I want to transfer documents from the prizmo app to the drop box app how do I go about doing it? Is it best to transfer documents from Prizmo to another app like dropbox? Also the documents I want to transfer are Lionss member addresses, email addresses,and phone numbers ect. These Lions member addresses are in three seperat documents, and I want to put all three Lions member addresses in one folder. So once I transfer the documents over to dropbox, how do I create a folder for my documents? I still haven't mastered how to use dropbox and I want to learn. Uninstalled the Toolbox For Pages. That was a good thing. It drove me nuts. But, it didn't help me to find the Pages app using a spotlight search. Nothing is found when I search. Nor can I redownload Pages from the App Store. That button remains grayed-out. But, the app opens when/if I open a document created with Pages. I can also open a blank document from within Pages once I've opened the app using an already created document. But, I cannot open the app directly because I don't know where it is on my Mac. It isn't in the applications folder. Nor, apparently, is it on my system. I'm perplexed! I signed up for the thing, just because I had spare Itunes credit around, but I've always used Dropbox as a way to play stuff on my phone through the speaker dock I have. Hi John, If you want to keep a picture that was sent to you as part of a text message you will have to save it to your camera roll. Just like a picture which is sent as an email attachment, it will be deleted if you delete the text message or email. Seeking Your Thoughts
I am experiencing a problem with two apps, USA Today for Iphone and a local newspaper app called the Argus Leader. The problem with both apps is identical. When I activate an article and issue the two-finger swipe down command, VoiceOver reads from one to three sentences of the article perfectly, then stops reading. The only way I can read the remainder of the article is to flick right twice for each sentence. Flicking right once merely repeats the last sentence spoken. I have two questions. First, does anyone know of a setting on my phone I might be able to change in order to resolve this problem? Second, is there a particular thing causing this issue that I could mention to the companies who make and distribute these apps? Thanks for any thoughts you may have on these questions.
