To the moderators and the list!

2015-03-28 Thread Jose Lomeli
Hello; Listers, first of all, okay? What the you know what? Was that all
about?! I mean really! Excuse me Cara and the rest of the moderators! But what
kind of BS was that all about? Are we grown adults or are we all kids? I
really don't really post here as much and when I do, I get help from respectful
people! But now I'm really questioning the list! Grow the hell up people! Again
sorry for this Moderators!

Re: apogee quartet?

2015-03-28 Thread Annie Skov Nielsen
Hi Simon.

I have tried the duet, and the quartet uses the same interface. It is more
accessible on the IPhone than on the mac. The most difficult thing is that you
will have to press a wheel on on the apogee to switch between the channels. You
do unfortunately not have a physical button on the apogee, the button you can
use when you wants to turn it up or down goes round and round, so you can not
be sure how it is set, unless you check it in the app. When that has been said
I would say that it is useable. I think it is possible to learn to use the
device. If anyone else has some experience please let us know.

Best regards Annie.

Re: apogee quartet?

2015-03-28 Thread goshawk on horseback
unfortunately, when you want something to do stereo work with, the choices
are rather limited.
I have only found 3 boxes that will do true stereo work, a tascam one, which
is ok, but that I have found to have a very plasticy feel, and who's
controls are very flimsy, the affore mentioned apogee duet, which would fit
the bill, or the apogee quartet, which would, if usable, give me a lot more
features and flexibility.

Re: apogee quartet?

2015-03-28 Thread goshawk on horseback
thanks for that, I was originally thinking of the duet, but the quartet would
be better. the main thing, is that in it's description, it mentions some
additional touch pads, that the duet doesn't have, and I am a bit concerned
that if they are like the touch screen, it would be all too easy to operate
them with out wanting to.

Re: apogee quartet?

2015-03-28 Thread Joe Paton
Hello Annie,

It sounds from what you say, that this may not be the complete accessible
solution for use out in the field. Maybe in a home studio where the pressures
are different, but in a live recording situation I doubt I'd take the chances.

As usual though, always good information from your pen.

Thanks.

RE: Wireless blood pressure monitors from Apple store

2015-03-28 Thread Edward Przybylek
Hi,

I’ve been using the QardioArm wireless blood pressure monitor for a couple of
months now. The iOS app is fully accessible except for two pickers in the
settings menu. One picker specifies the number of times to sequentially take a
blood pressure reading and the other picker specifies the time interval between
readings. I was able to set the values myself but it took a bit of effort. If
you’re a more advanced VoiceOver user, you should be able to set these values
on your own. If not, you’ll need some sighted assistance. Since the values
only need to be set once, I don’t see this as a real problem. When I wrote to
the company about the picker problem, they thanked me for contacting them and
said they would address the problem in future software releases. The accuracy
of the readings from the QardioArm is almost identicle to the readings I get
from a fairly expensive Omron unit I own and the readings I get at my doctor’s
office. I owned the iHealth wireless blood pressure monitor before the
QardioArm monitor but I returned it after two weeks. The initial unit set-up
is not at all accessible and the app’s user interface is very confusing and
unfriendly. Good luck.

Take care,
Ed Przybylek

able to post via my iPhone. Second, to answer your question, I took it for a

Re: Creating A Play List On The Iphone

2015-03-28 Thread Kimber Gardner
When you name and save the playlist, you are then placed in the list
of tracks from which you can add songs to your new list. Sometimes I
find I am placed in the albums or artists list. When that happens,
just tap the songs tab at the bottom of the screen. Once in the songs
list, touch the top of the screen and you should hear add songs to
blah blahh. Just double tap each track you want to add then when
you're finished tap the done button in the upper right of the screen.

I hope this helps.

MediSafe

2015-03-28 Thread Maria and Joe Chapman
HI.

does anyone use this app? If so, can someone explain how to add someone to
remind you if you don’t take your pills? I can see where to put their name etc
but not where to put a contact number or anything.
At first glance the app looks pretty accessible. Any ideas?
