RE: Questions regarding the Cash App

2017-09-10 Thread Alan Lemly
Terri,

I'm confused by what you read that didn't make sense to you. If I followed your
statement, you seemed confused by the reference of someone wanting to use the
app to send money. Isn't that what you did with the app at some point in the
past, used it to send someone money? Once the app is set up properly among
those using it, you could use it to send electronic payments to desired
recipients or to request an electronic payment from a desired financier.

Hello everyone who has been trying to help me understand this.

I used this App once to send money. I believe I had linked my bank account to
the App, so that I didn't have to pay a 3 percent fee, for using a debit, or
credit card.

Something I read, regarding the App stated that the person wanting to send you
the money. But that doesn't make much sense to me?

Why would it be that way?

I did see the part on how you can get a card. So I just decided to do it. But
my bank account is still linked to the App, as well.

I read that all anyone had to do was use something as simple as your phone
number, to send you the money. There were other options, as well.

Also, I guess you can somehow control how fast the money can go in to your bank
account.

Now that's cool!

Thank you,

Terri

Keep in mind that in order for apps to show notifications in notification
centre this features has to be enabled in Settings > Notification Centre for
each app you want to see. If you give an app permission to show notifications
then typically this is enabled by default, but if you find you hear
notifications which are not showing up then this is where you would go.

I use FIOS, which is pretty good. I do have a problem, though. I would like
to see which programs are available with DVS, but the guide is not set up
to identify those programs. I have been looking around for an ap or another
source which lists the network shows with DVS. Unfortunately, the ones
that I have seen are inaccurate or incomplete. Going directly to the HBO
and/ Showtime pages yielded comparable results.

Has anyone resolved this problem? I do plan to call FIOS again to get
someone else who can give me the keystrokes and guide me through the search
process. If anyone knows of a guide for network/cable services which have
such a current guide for DVS, let me know.

Thanks!

Hello,
If you have a Cash account, you can send money to someone. I also believe there
is a way to set up a URL to be paid by, but I'm not sure how. You can request a
free Cash Card, which will be mailed to you and can be used like a debit card,
using the funds in your Cash app.

RE: Questions regarding the Cash App

2017-09-10 Thread Alan Lemly
Terri,

The Cash app by Square, Inc. which has also been called Square Cash I believe
does what you're asking. I got a little confused by just what your friend is
trying to accomplish because it sounded a bit as if she wanted to use the Cash
app like a prepaid credit card.

You can use the app to electronically move money between app users who've set
it up properly. This used to involve keying in your bank's debit card number
information in order to tie your bank account to your Cash app. Both my son and
I have done this so I can easily transfer money to him via the Cash app without
any fees. I think the app may have expanded how to transfer money with it since
I set it up over a couple of years ago. You can read its iTunes Apps Store

beginning of dropbox things. As I swaid before, I tried it in access note and
regular dropbox and it did the same thing. I flicked throught the list of
folders to the right one. It will go inside the song folder but not further.
It will not go in the individual song to read the words. I have to close the
app and try again. My question is this. Is there a voice-over command for the
Braille display to go back out of the song words to my list of songs? I know
that dot 8 enters on things. I wanted to explain it very clearly to get the
right answer. I hope someone can help.

Thanks much. God bless.

Hi all,
is there a way of reviewing messages that have popped up on the phone.
Sometimes an app will display a message on the locked screen and if I don’t
notice it the message is gone when I log in to the phone. If it is a text
message I can notice on the message app it will say one unread. Some other Apps
don’t show this.
Thanks for any tips.

RE: Iphone question

2017-09-10 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
/Definitely GSM, CDMA is not around much any more except for a few carriers in
the States and I think maybe Japan. Here in Canada Telus and Bell, two of the
three large carriers, were all CDMA back in the 90's and early 2000's, but now
it's all GSM.
I think pretty much most of the rest of the world is GSM including Europe,
Asia, Africa and Australia/New Zealand.

What you need to know is whether your area uses GSM or CDMA. My guess is that
it uses GSM, so if the iPhone is a GSM phone it will work.
CDMA, I think, is primarily a United States protocol used mostly by Verizon.
I'd suggest doing some google research on that.

Braille Display command trouble

2017-09-10 Thread Diane
I think this is the group I should ask this
question of, so here goes.

I have a folder of song lyrics in dropbox in access note. Each song is an
individual file. My church naturally has an overhead which everyone else can
read. I got the lyrics for the song so that I could follow along and sing with
them. By the way, this happens even if the folder is just in the dropbox. I
tried it within access note and regular dropbox. I find my song folder and
enter on it, which is the the dot 8 key. I have the focus blue 40 display. I
go in a song and I can start reading the words. I was told to hit chord b to
go back. What I want to do is to go back out of the song back to the song
list. That way I could go through my song list and find the next song that is
put up. I hit chord b and it goes completely out of the folder to the
beginning of dropbox things.

God bless.

I didn't know that Roku had a tv out now. Wonderful that it's accessible. I
wonder if it's expensive.
I hope they've improved the voice, grin.

RE: Iphone question

2017-09-10 Thread Richard Turner
What you need to know is whether your area uses GSM or CDMA. My guess is that
it uses GSM, so if the iPhone is a GSM phone it will work.
CDMA, I think, is primarily a United States protocol used mostly by Verizon.
I'd suggest doing some google research on that.

Subject: Iphone question

Hello list,
please does anyone know if Iphones and celular Ipads purchased from either
Apple store or an authorised seller such as Symplymac in the U.S.a. are
unlocked to all networks and can be used abroad?
When I purchase Iphone in the states, does it work here in Slovakia using a sim
card from a local carrier?
Thank you very much for your help.
Have a great day,
Maria

RE: ITunes bill

2017-09-10 Thread Donald Moore
It was actually a pretty obvious scam. It said NOTHING about apple, although
the poorly worded English would have given you that impression. Just delete
it.

Hi,

I just got an e-mail stating that I had made a purchase for a particular item
on ITunes, which I did not make, with a link asking me to click it if I didn't
make the purchase.

Of course, since it came to an e-mail address not associated with anything on
my Apple account, I ignored it. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a phone number
to call for suspected Apple scams or to double check purchases other than on my
credit card.

Thanks.
