Fake stereo mode on Airpods Pro 2?

I just upgraded from the second generation Airpods to the Pro second generation 
which just came out, because my Airpods I’ve had for three years died. When 
playing a Bard book, or any other mono source, I would describe the audio as  
kind of a fake stereo with slight echo. It should sound like it's coming 
directly in the middle of my head, but it's spread out like it's a stereo file. 
I originally had the spatial audio on, but that made the voice move when I 
moved my head, and I didn’t like that. Once I turned that off, the moving 
stopped, but this fake stereo is still here. Is there a setting I can change, 
or is this just how these earbuds render the audio?

Here is a message someone else posted who had the same problem.

 

I changed Siri voices and it read it right.  Then I went back to my regular 
voice and it read it right this time.

 

Guess just changing and going back again fixed the issue.

I suggest that you look at the program called Just Press Record from planet
software.

It is a very friendly voiceover program. I use it all the time and I get
pretty good results.

Okay I downloaded Just Press Record.  

Had issues because file located in Voice Notes.  Apple accessibility assisted 
me.  Need to learn Apple products better.

I transcribed file and unsure if I can save as a recording.txt in this app.

Siri read the transcription and did 3 finger quad tap copy speech to clipboard. 
 Sent myself an email.  

But now on desktop because more familiar.

Just Press Record is an app for $4.99 in the iOS app store.  I’ll give the link 
below, but first want to give you a sample of a transcript I did from a zoom 
meeting recording yesterday with Orbit Research.  It does not put in hardly any 
punctuation but according to Word, it is 93% accurate.  The name Orbit came out 
as Arbor a couple of times.  I was really impressed it got Venkatesh’s name 
correct though it did not capitalize it.  He is the CEO of Orbit Research.

It takes roughly the same amount of time to transcribe as the recording is 
long.  This was from an hour long meeting so it took about an hour to get the 
transcription.

If your file is 28 seconds, it may take as much as a minute …

The text below is from only the first couple of minutes.  In Word, the entire 
transcript is 11 pages.

house remodeled pretty significantly, and had to move out while it's being done

said for the last couple months and we were been working on some upgrades to 
both the orbital 40 as well as the arbitrator, 20 standard model, and we 
release gnu firmware for both the phone forever for the arbitrator, 40 make 
some improvements Cindy in the functionality of the calendar and also fixes 
some bugs the detailed notes were sent out in an announcement. Email Jennifer. 
Miss that email and please let us no, we can resend them to you in and of 
course they are all available on our on our website as well and see if there is 
some functional improvements, such as being able to make a new appointment from 
anywhere in the calendar by pressing space send N car changes to the calendar, 
some some fix us to do things that we're not quite working right after the 
previous release also, the user guide has been upgraded rather updated to 
reflect these changes and we have also added some localization files so when 
you download the localization package you know I will also have access to 
Turkish and grade one and grade 2 on the arbitrator 20 we have also updated the

production related of features which would not really make a functional

Re: Getting Weather Widget Back On iPhone Home Screen

Hi, All:

Thank you all.  I had a couple of misadventures and it was not elegant, 
but I now have only 1 widget all by its lonesome and not in a stack on 
the first page of my home screen.


I couldn't get instructions that I understood would remove individual 
items in a stack without removing the whole stack to work for me.  I 
threw in the towel for now and removed the whole stack and added  the 
widget on the home screen I wanted.  I'd think it should be straight 
forward and not getting it bugs me, but, for now, I'm going to move on 
to something else with the phone.

I have found that, resetting your home layout screen or your home 
screen, layout in settings, under general, and reset being the last 
option I think, or second to last option, one of the options after that 
is after you double tap on that, is reset, home screen layout, and I 
found that actually does the trick in getting the widget stack back to 
the way. It was pretty simple.

Unless I’ve missed it, I’m kind of surprised that no one has
mentioned this widget thing before you started mentioning it a month
or so ago. Since I like to keep all my apps in alphabetical order,
when I had gotten some of them out of order a few months ago and
then reset my home screen, I was surprised to find those stacked
widgets as the first things at the top of my home screen. But since
resetting the home screen again only brought them back, I just
decided to live with them.

When I read your question earlier today, I started looking around
again, as since I had decided to live with the widgets, I also
wanted the weather to show up first and then the calendar to show up
when I did the one finger flick to the right. Thus, it kind of looks
like if I double tap and then hold on the weather icon at the top of
the screen, then wait to hear the sound to indicate that a context
menu has shown up, then flick left and right with one finger till I
hear edit stack, then double tap on that edit stack button, then put
my finger down towards the bottom of the screen and find the smart
rotate button, then double tap on it to turn it off, then find the
done button in the upper right corner of the screen, and then double
tap on that done button to save the change, weather and calendar
should stay constant there and not change to maps or photos or
  whatever Apple thinks I want to see at the time.

The only way I can figure to get the weather icon back on the first
page is to delete the widget stack, which it kind of sounds like you
already did, and then move the icon back to the first page, so I’ll
try the steps from the beginning with the widgets intact and see
what happens. I once again put my finger on the weather icon on the
first page, then I double tap and hold on that icon till I hear the
sound, then I flick left and right till I find the remove stack
button, then I double tap on that remove stack button, then I flick
to the right to the remove button when prompted to confirm, and then
I double tap on that remove button. Now to get the weather icon back
on the first page, keeping in mind that that will then reorder the
placement of the rest of the apps. From the first page on the home
screen, I do a three finger swipe to the left to bring up the second
page, then I put my finger on the weather icon on the top left of
that second page, then I flick down with one finger and hear edit
mode, then I double tap and hear started editing, then I put my
finger on the weather icon again, then I flick up with one finger
until I hear drag weather, then I double tap on the drag weather,
then I hear find my as that is the next app on the page, but I flick
right with three fingers to get back to the first home screen, then
I find facetime in the upper left of the home screen, then I flick
down with one finger until I hear drop weather before facetime, then
I double tap on that drop weather before facetime, then I hear drop
complete

Open Voice memos, tap all recordings, highlight recording, top to bottom, left 
to right and did not see your suggestion.  

Tap newRecording to open again do not see somehow to transcribe.

I tap play.  Do 3 finger quad tap speech to clipboard but it only copied  play.

iDevice, Just Press Record can do this, I think with files not created in it,

I’m sure there are others.  As Alan said, the term you need to use is

Thanks, I will use transcribe in google searches.

I recorded on iPhone using Video memos; it is 28 seconds with medical 
professional reading OTC eye drops.  I then used more and emailed the eye 
drops.m4a to Outlook on W10 desktop.   

I will order on Amazon but thought it would be more efficient if I knew how to 
transcribe.  

I can try to transcribe file on iPhone12Pro or W10 desktop.

My only advice is to use the term transcription in your Google search. You 
don't mention whether you're attempting to do the transcription on a computer 
running some operating system or on an iDevice so it's hard to give meaningful 
advice.

I have a first gen se, and i need to know if there is a way in settings to
make the the iphone announce when the charge is full because at the moment
the only indication have is when i touch the charge level on the home
screen.

our work accounts.  So I'm using Outlook on my phone for my work email.  I do 
like Outlook on my PC better than on the phone.

One thing that happened to me was that when in the native mail ap after 
creating the work account in Outlook, I kept getting password incorrect cancel 
or OK.  I was told to remove my work account from the native mail ap.  When I 
did that about half of my contacts ended up missing or just the numbers showed 
up and the other half remained as they should be.  The numbers only showed up 
in the phone and message apps.

I'm rebuilding as I can.  There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason for 
what disappeared or what stayed.

I would stick with the native email app if you are comfortable with it.  I've 
started using the Outlook app for work email on my phone and, while it's OK. I

or OK.  I was told to remove my work account from the native mail ap.  When I 
did that about half of my contacts ended up missing or just the numbers showed 
up and the other half remained as they should be.  The numbers only showed up 
in the phone and message apps.

I'm rebuilding as I can.  There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason for 
what disappeared or what stayed.

I would stick with the native email app if you are comfortable with it.  I've 
started using the Outlook app for work email on my phone and, while it's OK. I 
still prefer the simplicity of the native email app and would not have 
voluntarily started using Outlook, if it weren't required to access my work 
account.  I do love Outlook as an email client on my laptops, though.

I have never used Outlook on any device ever. I have heard from people who do 
use it say it's very complicated, and all I want is a Mail app. So I use 
Thunderbird on my computer and iOS mail on my iPhone or iPad. But now I'm 
wondering about Outlook mail. I've heard people say it works well. Android and 
iOS. But I just don't want to get into a big complicated mess. Does anybody 
know of anything anywhere that really sort of describes how you use outlook on 
these platforms?
