Thank you for the suggestions. I rebooted the phone. Magically, the on off button's re-appeared !! I've then ran about 10 or 12 apps. After that when I check the toggle, the buttons had disappeared :-( I am now trying to reboot - have never had such a problem with the iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5 or iPhone 5s. come to think of it the iPhone 6 with iOS 8.02 also did not have this problem. -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. Hi! As with any application, some practice would make you better! Before I found this application, I could do everything with my iPhone except spreadsheets and the laundry. Now, thanks to Google, I'm just looking for an app to do my laundry. I love working on spreadsheets on the go. I was seriously considering buying the Microsoft surface Pro3 with Windows 8.1 and install Jaws to do my spreadsheets! Now thanks to Google, I don't need to buy that! If our way doesn't work, we get to explore other ways that might - and learn in the process. An important side effect of this is rekindling the belief in us that the Universe is out to help us, not to make our life impossible. If we believe that, then we're likely to see the obstacle as the sign that there's a better way and the obstacle is there to tell us to look for it. Is this easy? No, not at all. It's a lot easier to complain and whine about the unfairness of life. Most of the people around you will expect that and play poor me with you. Hey Guys! I was having a rough day. I had got a number of text messages with phone numbers that I had to call but could not courtesy Apple. Then I called my girl friend and thought had ended the call. She heard what I was talking with my buddy. So that was a mess. Then I made a long distance call and thought i had ended it. I had not! Got charged 38 dollars for it! Then I was trying to buy am airline ticket but could not fill the form completely, spent 25 minutes. At the end I had bought a ticket for the wrong day and wrong time. Worse. The ticket was non refundable. It was after all this that I started writing to the List. I was venting. I thought I would get some sympathy. Some suggestions. And instead what do I get? No compassion. Just some smart alecs saying that they never had the problem I had. Or that I should not complain. Man! Help reduce list traffic. If you cannot give help to a fellow lister, then just stay mum. No neede to increase traffic by saying that you do not experience the problem. That does not help anyone. No need to sermonize. This list is for persons to share their problems and to get help. It is not to ridicule anyone. If you cannot help, stay quiet. Compassion, patience and understanding. This is not the wild west. No need to shoot the guy who does not agree with your views. Just ignore it, if you cannot help. The method you described would only work if you are running the old operating system 5.0 if you have upgraded to 6.0 then the system has a bug and you just cannot labeled buttons! Hi! I am dictating this message. And I find that I am getting better and better at doing so. Like most of you I do downloaded Fleksy and installed it. However having done that I find that voice dictation is vetter any day! I really love it. I've had no problems whatsoever. If you notice that one or two mistakes in my email. I have purposely not corrected it to demonstrate that they're only a few Eddas in such a long email! Please don't give up on voice dictation! It's excellent. Hi! One work around solution would be to have both numbers in your database. That means had the number with the international prefix and the number without the international prefix in the contact information. aching Index Finger!
Dear iPhone Lovers! I got my first iPhone 4S About 8 days ago and I am hopelessly addicted. The apps are just brilliant! There is so much to learn, so much to do, to explore and discover! I am hooked to it! Apart from loosing sleep, I have a serious problem. The tip of my right index finger really hurts. I hold the iphone in my left hand and use my right index finger for tapping, swiping and using the keyboard. As a result my finger tip is really sore! I cant use it anymore! Has anyone else had a similar problem? How do I overcome it? I really want to get on with the iphone. How do I tell my sore, swollen index finger to perform? elusive OCR App!
as a previous user of KNFB Mobile Reader and user of the TextScout from www.textscout.eu I have tried many paid and free OCR apps for the iphone. Sadly not one has come anywhere close to the awesome performance of the above two apps. Why are we not being given one? Surely there are enough iPHONE users who would gladly pay to have a working app on there iPhone. With KNFB and TextSCOUT one could read entire books, magazines, medical bottle labels, small text etc on the go with almost 98 percent accuracy. None of the iPhone apps are even half as accurate! hi All! Can someone please help me! I desperately need to know how to insert text templates into email messages. These are pre defined text lines which I want to insert rather than typing every time. I could do it with my old Nokia phones running Talks. I am sure there must be a way to do this on the much superior iPhone. Please enlighten me.
