AirBlue Sharing which fixes one of my main irks with iOS: To be able to send files to any Bluetooth-enabled phone or PC. Bridge, which allows you to put downloaded files straight into your iTunes library. Not to mention Safari Download Enabler, which does what its name implies. iFile too. No, not a normal HDMI cable, no iDevice has an HDMI port. However, Apple does make a Lightning Digital AV Adapter. It is an adapter you plug into the Lightning port on your iPad Mini and then you can use a normal HDMI cable to connect the iPad Mini to your TV. It is a small box which you connect to your home WiFi or you can also connect it to your router with an Ethernet cable and you then connect its HDMI output to an HDMI input on your TV or surround sound receiver. You would then use Airplay to play content from your iPad Mini to your Apple TV wirelessly and you can also use Airplay mirroring which will show your iPad screen on your TV. To me the Apple TV is the more attractive option as it is also a wonderful device to use by itself for consuming content from Netflix (if you have a subscription), Youtube and other services. You can, of course, also buy and rent movies from iTunes via the Apple TV and play anything from your iTunes library on the computer on your TV. Keep in mind that it is pretty much a given that Apple will release the fourth Generation Apple TV this year. It is quite likely that it will be announced and shown at Apple's world wide developer conference on June 2 when iOS 8 will also be unveiled. On the boom it's self is that button I was talking about. Tapping the siri button will get you a read out of the battery power given in talk time with a max of 7 hours. No stand by time is announced because stand by time would probably be a week to 10 days and you would use that time up by talking or using the ear peace for something like listening to a talking book, music, etc. If you can't remember what you can ask your legend, just tap the button on the boom and ask, what can I say The female friendly voice will come back and tell you your choices such as pare mode, Am I connected,check battery call back or cancel. When a call comes in, if you have given permission to access your contacts in setup, your legend will announce the caller and then ask you, answer or ignore? By this ear peace and you will have hands free access. I really like that feature because your hands may be holding a gallon of milk in one hand and your cane in the other and I'm sure you can come up with many more situations where hands free operation would be handy. Note: the call back feature redials the last called number which can be useful too. If I've left anything out, other legend users can chime in. I should lastly say that all audio is channeled through the ear peace. This coupled with the screen curtain gives you total privacy when punching in information you would rather keep to yourself. And, when you turn the legend off, all audio output is returned to your phone's built in speaker and you have to do nothing to make that happen. On the boom it's self is that button I was talking about. Tapping the siri button will get you a read out of the battery power given in talk time with a max of 7 hours. No stand by time is announced because stand by time would probably be a week to 10 days and you would use that time up by talking or using the ear peace for something like listening to a talking book, music, etc. If you can't remember what you can ask your legend, just tap the button on the boom and ask, what can I say The female friendly voice will come back and tell you your choices such as pare mode, Am I connected,check battery call back or cancel. When a call comes in, if you have given permission to access your contacts in setup, your legend will announce the caller and then ask you, answer or ignore? By this ear peace and you will have hands free access. I really like that feature because your hands may be holding a gallon of milk in one hand and your cane in the other and I'm sure you can come up with many more situations where hands free operation would be handy. Note: the call back feature redials the last called number which can be useful too. If I've left anything out, other legend users can chime in. I should lastly say that all audio is channeled through the ear peace. This coupled with the screen curtain gives you total privacy when punching in information you would rather keep to yourself. And, when you turn the legend off, all audio output is returned to your phone's built in speaker and you have to do nothing to make that happen.
