Double tap and hold until you hear the noise, then slide right without having taken your finger off. Remember, double tap and hold is a pass-through, the app just wants to see a flick right on the item; then the delete button will be there. Really clever of them to implement this for us, but hey!... we can do this. Yes the documentation is in error on this point. You delete a note using the standard iOS deletion process of double tapping and holding on a note, then swipe right so you get the delete button. Yes, except that when you double tap and hold it doesn't say anything about deleting. You only pick that up when you find the confirm delete on your screen. also, with AccessNote, it isn't enough for me to simply double tap and hold. I have to keep contact with the screen and slide or drag slightly once I hear the tripple tone. I have been through the documentation that comes with the app, but I can't figure out how to delete a note. I created a test note when I first bought the app and now I would like to get rid of it. Thanks for the info. That seems like a huge drawback to me. Deleting is such a basic function that its amazing it can't be done from within the app itself. Hi Rob and Kimberley, I haven't purchased Access Note yet although I probably will. In any case, I am surprised an app that is made for Voiceover user doesn't utilize the latest and greatest in Voiceover features and by that I mean why don't they use the Action Rotor Apple has implemented in apps like Mail, Messages, the Favourites List, the Music app etc. this would allow you to just flick down or up if the rotor is set to Actions and toggle between Delete and Standard. Maybe the double tap and swipe works extremely well in the Access Note app, I never thought it was a super reliable gesture before in apps like music, but maybe it is more so in Access Note, it was just a thought. Maybe this will be easier. What I am finding works better is to double tap with one finger and hold. Then without letting my finger up I slide my finger. It doesn't seem to matter whether I slide to right or left but I haven't tried up or down. it doesn't matter how far. Then when I lift my finger and flick I find the 'confirm delete button. It will stay there until you either confirm delete or double tap the note which doesn't open it bur removes the confirm delete. Double tap swipe doesn't work for me either but double tap-hold-slide is working every time. Have you tried touching the file you want to delete and then swipe down with an index finger quickly. I don't have dropbox, have no real clue how it works or why I might want it, Access Note will work without it I assume, anyway that was what I read. I bought the app but at the moment not sure how I am going to use it when and if life settles down maybe I will give it more thought but as I understand I still have to write in grade 1 braille, may as well type then it would be much faster for me. Hi Rose, you don't have to write in uncontracted Braille with Access Note, but if you want to use any of the Braille shortcuts, then you need to toggle contracted Braille off for them to work. Dropbox is a cloud-based storage system. I'd recommend it, because what's nice is that you can put files into the Access Note folder from your PC and they'll be available to open and edit on your phone, and of course when you save a file in Access Note, it just magically appears on your PC too.
