A great place to use it is in the list of apps. The faster you turn it, the
faster you move, so you can get through a long list quickly.

RE: accessible metronome app for watch currently free

2022-06-06 Thread Richard Turner
AS for digital crown navigation, because it is easier than swiping on the watch
face.
And now that I have been reminded how easy it is to toggle it on and off with a
two finger triple tap, I can easily use it when it is most useful and turn it
off when that is best.

Re: accessible metronome app for watch currently free

2022-06-05 Thread CHELA Robles
This tends to happen with the watchOS system it’s not the metronome itself
according to reviews on the app page if you read carefully. I have a series 5
so far it’s keeping 120 bpm very consistently. Also to Ginny facer sorry if I’m
misspelling your name here but it’s taptic metronome only if you have it on
silent mode will it emmit sound so you could still feel the tap on your wrist
while you’re playing your flute I have experimented with piano and will later
today with trumpet.

Yes I figured that out. But now I'm finding the app is not keeping a consistent

I have it set at 80 BPM, and after about 10 measures, it is like someone with a

Hi Richard,

Turn off digital crown navigation with a 2-finger triple-tap, and you will be
able to adjust the BPM with VoiceOver running. This isn't an accessibility
problem; it's what you have to do anytime you want to use the digital crown to
perform an app function rather than navigate the screen.

when you turn the crown, each vibration you feel equals 1 beat. I just wish I

RE: accessible metronome app for watch currently free

2022-06-05 Thread Richard Turner
The following is now on my Useful Apps page on my web site.

Thanks Anna for POSTING this.
Metronome for Watch, Haptic Watch Metronome
BY Ivan Parfenchuk
Anna Dresner posted a message about the app, Metronome for Watch, Haptic Watch
Metronome that is currently free as of June 5th, 2022 on the VIPhone Users list.

It works only on the watch and is fully accessible. You cannot have the
VoiceOver Digital Crown Navigation on while using the app if you want to adjust
the beats per minute while VO is on. To toggle the Digital Crown Navigation,
perform a two finger triple tap on the watch. With the Digital Crown Navigation
off, the app is truly fully accessible.

you adjust the BPM with the digital crown, and VoiceOver reports what you've
set it to. The watch taps your wrist and also beeps if Silent Mode is off.

There's also a start button, which becomes a Stop button when you select it.

Well, I just experimented some more and you have to turn VoiceOver off to
adjust the BPM. Then, turn VoiceOver back on to double check your setting and
repeat as needed.
I just wrote the developer from their web site.

You have to fill out the contact form, check the box that says you understand

Well, It installed nicely, but I cannot get it to change from 60 bpm.
The crown just navigates between bpm and start.
Do I have to turn off navigate with crown?
If so, I cannot find that setting right now.

Re: Is there a good VoiceOver accessible metronome app?

2012-09-19 Thread Richard Turner
Hi,
The one I used to use is no longer in the app store.
But, if you want a recording studio and metronome, then get GigDaddy.
It is a four track recording studio and has a lots of rhythm tracks. It is
completely accessible.
There are probably other straight metronome apps, but I have not tried them.

Re: Is there a good VoiceOver accessible metronome app?

2012-09-19 Thread Ioana Gandrabur
Hi,

I use an app called tempo by frozen ape.
Here is the link.
http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/metronome/id304731501?mt=8
It strangely appears as titled metronome but once downloaded is labeled tempo.
It is not completely accessible, that is I had to ask my side it husband to
help me label some buttons before I could use it effectively.. Why I chose this
one is because it is a very good professional metronome comparable to Dr. beat.
What I like about it is that you can use nice-sounding tones to tune your
instrument and you can use very good metric subdivisions. You can also choose
from different sets of sounds to mark tie.
You have the options to set track lists but I never used or tried this
Unlike with guigdaddy you don't get as many interesting sounding swing tracks
It costs I think around five dollars. If you want to take the plunge let me
know I'll send you the link and you could write me on or off list for help
using the app.
Best,

Ioana

Please check out my cd on www.ioanagandrabur.com on iTunes and most online
stores.
