Re: Bare Minimum to Talk to Siri?
Siri will go through whichever network is available, so wifi plenty good. Cell if not around wifi. wifi of less than 4mbps is hardly broadband at all. If cell data can handle it, than wifi should. An iPad with cell data would be a big jump in price, but could go anywhere, and still have wifi capability anyway. Just a wifi model would be cheaper, but still require user to buy a wifi router, or trust a public service of some kind. Not to be recommended. Broadband service providers usually provide the wifi gismo as that is the thing these days. Re: Bare Minimum to Talk to Siri?
Hello Alan, any kind of Internet connection will do, so if your friend gets Wi-Fi, they will be all set. No cell connection is needed; it just means you can't use Siri if you're away from Wi-Fi. Re: Bare Minimum to Talk to Siri?
Yes, I do not have cell phone service for my iPad, although I did pay for the cell phone access connector whatever it is called so that I can get cell phone service if I choose to do so. I only use wifi to access Siri now. -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. All new members to the this list are moderated by default. Re: Bare Minimum to Talk to Siri?
You need a connection to the internet be that WI-FI at home or cellular data. It's why you get talk, text, and data. In short, if you can get to the internet, Siri will work.
