Re: Internet's conectivity status on IPHone's Status Bar?

2024-03-15 Thread Malcolm Parfitt

2024-03-15 Thread Jonathan Cohn
For Wi-Fi connection you can see status in settings under Wi-Fi for the
connected router. Like below

Group TP-LINK_Power Strip_8089, No Internet Connection, Unsecure network,
Signal strength 3 of 3 bars rows 1 to 8 of 9 Top of screen, Settings

Sent from my iPhone

Internet's conectivity status on IPHone's Status Bar?

2024-03-14 Thread Gerardo Corripio
I've been several days without Internet from my cable company here in Mexico,
and so whenever I call Izzi Telecom's TEch Support line, they ask me if on the
IPhone's Status Bar (at the very top of the screen where you've got the Battery
info, Time…), if it says if I've got Internet or not, right? I do see the 3 of
3 bars of Izzi $C5C showing, but when I go into Youtube or Safari, or access
Facebook or such, I'm unable to navigate.
So I found this curious, and once at my MOm's, where I've got Internet and
everything's working as it should, I checked the Status Bar AGain, and it does
show my MOm's Internet of Telmex so-and-so, but it doesn't show whether the
INternet is connected, when I know it is!
So all this brings me to wondering what's the deal with this? Does the
Internet-connected Icon show up on the Status BAr for the sighted, but it's
VoiceOver's fault that this icon isn't recognized or seen?
So what other way (apart from having to actually go in and try working with
online content, is it possible for us VoiceOver users, to see at a glance if
the Internet is connected or not? As mentioned before, the Status bar does show
the Wifi signal itself, but the Internet's availability is the deal here. For
instance, on Windows 7 and 10, on the STatus bar (Insert+F11) it shows if the
Internet is connected or not (aside from the WiFi name); something like this is
what I'm looking for in iOS.
Thanks for any info.
