I believe on a phone it is a triple click of the side button, or on an iPad without a home button, a triple click of the button on the top. Hello, Kind of a followup to my recent inquiry, if my Life Partner decides to get an iPad, is it possible to set one up without any sighted assistance? The problem is that we are having a very hard time right now getting an appointment at the Apple store, where they would normally do that for a blind customer. So basically, we would be having to get it running from square one. My Life Partner has a very limited amount of partial vision, and I have none at all. I do however, have some familiarity with VoiceOver, having had an iPad Mini for a few years. So I could likely be of help in setting it up, once VoiceOver has been activated. I would be grateful for any advice on this. Evan -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. RE: Is It Possible to Set Up an iPad out of the Box without Any Sighted Assistance?
That is correct. Power it up, and triple click the home button or in the iPad's case, possibly the side switch if no home button, and you can go from there. Richard, in the U.S. "You know," said Arthur, "it's at times like this, when I'm trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space, that I really wish I'd listened to what my mother told me when I was young."
