Re: Question about scheduling an event
You can set a reminder with Fantastical. When scheduling a new appointment/reminder, I use the show More button to show a full display of options. Among these, one of the first is a button which says something like Schedule Event. I double tap that to change it to schedule reminder, and then I get the usual reminder options. I don't use Reminders a lot, but I nearly always use Fantastical to schedule a reminder because it is easy to use, and toggling between appointments and reminders is very easy. I don't use Siri to set reminders or appointments within Fantastical, so I can't speak to that. RE: Question about scheduling an event
I believe both the native Calendar and Fantastical have the ability to set a default alert time. Go into the Native Calendar settings and turn off default alerts. If you are setting up an alert at the time you create the event, then it is probably going to show up in both since Fantastical draws from the native calendar. However, you could go into notifications and turn them off for calendar, but leave them on for Fantastical. Reminders and events are treated very similarly. I’m not sure why one needs to use Reminders. But, if you have Fantastical set up to access your Reminders, you could just set up a Reminder via Siri/Reminders app, and it will show up in Fantastical. I’m fairly sure that is correct, but I’m not by my iPhone right now. I finally switched from the Gmail calendar to the home calendar and was able to set up the event through Fantastical, but not a reminder. Well, when the event happened, which is a recurring event, I get an alert from both my calendar and Fantastical at the same time. Can I delete it in my calendar, which I never set up, and just leave it in Fantastical or will that wipe out both of them? I never could set up the reminder but I'm fairly certain that is an IOS issue because it only started after the upgrade. Thank you.
