RE: How to quiet notifications
I am surprised nobody mentioned the options you have when a notification appears on the lock screen. If you swipe down on the notification and select “Manage” you can select to deliver the notification quietly which means it will still be in the notification centre, but it won’t make any sounds or appear on the lock screen until you go back and select to show the notification prominently. I use this often for my Ring doorbell motion notifications when I am outside in the carport working on a project and walking back and forth would trigger many notifications and it’s a good way to stop notifications you otherwise want temporarily. I believe that you can go into Settings/notifications and shut them all off. Re: How to quiet notifications
Hi Martin, If you go under settings then notifications, you can turn off apps that are bothersome and you can also make them just appear as a temporary banner that appears and then disappears. Just a thought. Jenn Jenn and Kumi > On Jul 24, 2021, at 5:39 PM, martin nelson wrote: > > Hello; I’m wondering if there’s a way to quite notifications other than > turning on do not disturb. RE: How to quiet notifications
Go into settings, Notification Center, and turn off notifications, either by app, or overall. You can turn off sounds, and just have them as a banner, so they don't grab your attention. There are several options in there to explore. Or, just mute the phone or as you say, turn on do not disturb.
