RE: Phone No Longer Announcing Who is Calling

2018-09-09 Thread sherrywells1157
Well, apparently writing an email to this list was enough to fix my problem re
my phone not announcing who is calling. It suddenly started working again. I
have done nothing but my phone now announces the caller again instead of just
ringing.

It was not muted. As I said in my original email, I could hear the phone ring
& could hear who was calling if I touched the text near the top of the screen.

So, no idea what changed but will not complain until / if it stops working
again.

Make sure the mute switch on the side of the phone is unmuted. Slide the
switch to the position closest to the screen.

Hello list,

I have an IPhone 5s with current I O S. My phone no longer says who is
calling. I can find out by
touching the text near the top of the screen & listening to voice over read it
but the phone used to say out loud who was calling. I looked around in
settings under phone & it does have announce set to always.
I looked around under notifications / phone. It says badges, sounds & banners.
 I think that is everything...

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Sherry Wells
