I just installed seamless here in cincinnati. It seems to have pretty much
the same restaurant choices as grub hub. I haven't tried ordering anything
though. Sadly, neither of them have chick filet.

At least with Doordash, you can call their people for help. You may have a few
minutes wait, but they do help.

I frequently use Door Dash, and haven't experienced many of the issues
reported, but i have trouble figuring out how the quantity selection works
if you want to buy more than one of the same item. On uber Eats, it's a
simple picker that you swipe up or down, but on ?Door Dash, it's different.

I just installed seamless here in cincinnati. It seems to have pretty much
the same restaurant choices as grub hub. I haven't tried ordering anything
though. Sadly, neither of them have chick filet.

Re: The seamless app

2021-06-21 Thread Andy Baracco
Here in Los Angeles, I find that all of the apps offer pretty much the same
selection. There are acceptions, like that Farmer Boy's is on Uber Eats, but
not Door Dash.
There are sometimes differences like the fact that for Carl's Jr. delivery
is free on Uber Eats, but $1.99 on Door dash.

Probably not because seamless is more accessible than grub hub

It’s great that GrubHub has gotten easier to use over time, less cluttered.
Seamless owns them, so would you just be duplicating effort by getting the
seamless app?

Same with DoorDash: at different times I get emails saying I can use dash pass
with caviar, but if I’m going to have access to the same places if I got
caviar, what’s the point?

I use the seamless app on a regular basis. It is very accessible. The
descriptions are very good on the restaurants and the items on the menus.
The only issues I've found are rating after delivery, and when getting
support through the chat feature, you cannot read what you've wrote after
it's sent, only what the agent writes.
I've submitted feedback to them.

Just because one company owns another means nothing these days, you still use
the product or service you like and there are many examples where a company
buys another with a similar product or service but still they are different
enough so people prefer one over another or maybe they operate in different
markets. Of course there are also cases where a company buys another which is
extremely similar just so they can dominate a particular category or absorb the
other company.

RE: The seamless app

2021-06-21 Thread Johna Gravitt
Pricing appears to be the same as the actual restaurants, it doesn't appear to
be inflated. The taxes and service fees seem to be lower than UberEATS as well.
Also, the delivery fees aren't too bad either and if you subscribe to seamless
plus you get free delivery from a lot of places and other perks as well.

Has anyone used the Seamless app?
I hear it is similar to Uber eats.
If so, what are your thoughts on it, is it accessible?
